Hi there, I’m Fred! I’m a sweet young little guy with a big heart and an even bigger desire to find my very own person. I LOVE TO SMILE as you can see in my photos! I may be small, but I have plenty of love to give—whether that’s snuggles, happy tail wags, or just being your cheerful shadow throughout the day. I’m still getting to know the world, but I’m gentle, friendly, and ready to bond with someone who will love me right back. Meet Dallas. He is a 7-year-old German Shephard/mutt mix. He is a sweet and very loving boy who has been around Adults, children, cats, ferrets, birds, and crowds with no issues. He is crate and house trained but will mark when stressed. We have had great luck with belly bands though. He is obese at the moment and could absolutely benefit from a home with the time and money to put towards helping him with that. Dallas is being rehomed due to personal medical issues. I am a disabled veteran and over the last 2 years my mental and physical health has been declining and recently lead to me being unable to work at all. As much as I love this boy and hate the idea of him not being here, I know the time and money I need to spend away from the home taking care of myself and my family will leave him neglected of the care he deserves. Dallas is happy to snuggle in one spot all day and he wants to be anywhere you are. Crate and food will be sent to new home as well.

Available mid- December but you can apply now! Meet Laurie Laurie is a 2½-year-old Chihuahua/terrier mix with a sweet, fox-like face and a gentle, shy nature. She warms up slowly, but once she trusts you, she becomes a total cuddle bug who loves blankets, lap time, and even offers her little paws for pets. She’s been great with other dogs and did well around a 4-year-old child. Laurie sleeps quietly through the night (bed or crate), rarely barks, eats well, and takes her meds easily. She’s still gaining confidence, so leash walking hasn’t started yet, but she does well with a steady potty routine. Laurie would do well as an only dog or with a friendly companion—she just needs a patient, loving home where she can blossom.   Applications can be filled out at http://www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications. We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine. The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you.The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member.
