Story
Meet Newton — a 1-year-old, 11 lb Chihuahua mix with stunning green eyes and a heart that’s learning to trust and love again. Quick Facts: Name: Newton Breed: Chihuahua Mix Age: 1 year old Weight: 11 lbs House-Trained: About 70% there! Crate-Trained: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes, would prefer a home with another dog companion Good with Cats: A little scared of cats Good with Kids: Yes, with older kids Energy Level: Medium Fence Required: Yes - he can be an "escape artist" About Newton’s Breed: Chihuahuas are bold, confident and loyal. They are affectionate with their people but can be wary of strangers but warm up quickly. They are intelligent and trainable, though they may be a little stubborn at times, but they keep it interesting! They are also known to be vocal and love to “chit chat”! Newton is a gentle soul with a playful streak and a head tilt that’ll melt your heart. When his foster mom talks to him, he tilts his head side to side like he’s hanging on every word! He’s about 70% potty trained, fully crate trained, and working hard to adjust to the comforts of a loving home. He is very attached to his people and would do best with someone or a family who is home more often. He would also love a doggie sibling to find comfort in and build his confidence! Newton’s Noteworthy Highlights: • Beautiful green eyes and an expressive little face • Crate trained, and progressing well with potty training • Loves toys, treats, and outdoor playtime • Medium energy—active in the yard, mellow on the couch • Dog-friendly, and loves to play with canine pals and would do best in a home with other dogs • Nervous around new people, but warms up with patience • Best with older, respectful kids—quick movements scare him • Scared of cats, but open to learning • Still learning leash confidence, but loves to explore (needs a fenced yard for safety) • A little food guarding behavior, likely from a tough past • Affectionate and cuddly, loves being near his people • Will crawl up your leg for love and snacks Newton is still a puppy at heart—curious, sensitive, and full of potential. He’s looking for a patient, loving family who will let him blossom at his own pace. With time, tenderness, and a cozy couch to snuggle on, Newton will become the most loyal little companion you could ask for. If you’re ready to help a sweet pup heal and thrive, Newton is ready to tilt his head and love you right back! Ready to Welcome Newton Into Your Life? Story
Meet PBJ — born October 17, 2025, this tiny girl is pure sweetness wrapped in fur! Quick Facts: Name: PBJ Breed: Chihuahua Mix Age: 2 months old Weight: 6 lbs. House-Trained: Working on it! Crate-Trained: No Good with Dogs: Yes (but with proper and slow introductions) Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Yes (older, respectful kids since he’s a puppy) Energy Level: Medium to High Fence Required: Unknown About PBJ’s Breed: Our best guess is that PBJ is a Chihuahua mix. Chihuahuas are tiny dogs with bold personalities, known for their loyalty, confidence, and affectionate nature. Despite their small size, they often act like big dogs, making them spirited companions who bond closely with their families. An ideal home for a Chihuahua is one that provides gentle handling, consistent routines, and lots of companionship. They thrive in apartments or houses alike, as long as they are kept safe, warm, and not left alone for long periods. Because of their delicate size, they do best in households where interactions—especially with children or other pets—are calm and respectful. With love and patience, Chihuahuas make devoted little companions who bring big personality to any home. All About PBJ: PBJ is the snuggliest little pup, happiest when she’s being held close and showered with love. Like any playful puppy, she plays hard and naps hard, bringing joy and laughter to her foster home. She has a silly streak too—sometimes stealing socks—but it’s all part of her adorable puppy charm and something she’ll likely grow out of. PBJ especially loves tummy rubs and will flop over to show her belly, asking for affection in the cutest way possible. Her name has a special story: her foster mom shared a grilled cheese sandwich with PBJ’s mom, Goldie, as a way to build trust and friendship. From that sweet moment, PBJ got her name.  PBJ’s Highlights: • Sweet and snuggly, loves being held • Playful puppy energy, plays hard and naps hard • Sock stealer, with a mischievous but adorable streak • Affectionate, flops over for belly rubs • Special name story, tied to her mom Goldie’s journey PBJ is ready to find her forever family—a home where she’ll grow up surrounded by love, cuddles, and the joy of being cherished every single day.
