Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Boo Boo requires an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application. PLEASE submit an application now at:   The link to our application is https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC          Miss Boo Boo is a very friendly and gets along fine with other dogs.  She is fostered with a pack of five other dogs.  While she does not actively interact with them, she acknowledges their presence and will push them aside so that she can receive pats from her humans. She loves her humans!!     She would do fine as an only dog or one of many. Her foster household does not have cats so we are not sure how she will get along with cats.  Her energy is low, she is such a couch potato!  She will lay with her head next to you and her eyes will look longing into yours as you pat her and show her affection.  The youngest child she has been around is 10 years old, but her temperament leads me to believe that she would do fine with children.  Boo Boo is food motivated but does not guard the resource. She does not need to be crated and does fine having free roaming privileges in her foster home. She is used to a fenced yard and would probably do best in a home with a fenced yard.   Boo Boo is an adorable grand lady that is looking for her forever home and would welcome the love and attention she so richly deserves.  EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Sadly, Boo Boo's owner passed away and she ended up in a rural shelter. Best Friend Pet Adoption stepped in knowing that senior dogs are rarely adopted from shelters and she was at risk.  We are now trying to find a good home for her.   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Frederick is our sweet little old man. He was found as a stray and landed in a shelter. We rescued him soon after. He was a shelter favorite and needed a dental asap. He also had some skin issues but now his skin has cleared up and he is flea free. He immediately blended in with his foster family of dogs and new humans. He loves to play with his ball and sunbathe on the deck. He is definitely a lap dog but he does love his special chair. Good with all dogs and cats, neutered and heartworm negative. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hello! My name's Ibar! Ibar is a charming little dog with a heart full of love. Despite a challenging start in life from a hoarding situation, he has proven to be resilient and sweet-natured. This adorable canine companion has a special affinity for toys and delights in playtime, especially with other dogs. Due to his past experiences, Ibar may initially appear shy, but underneath that hesitancy lies a gentle and affectionate soul. He is in the process of learning to trust and become more comfortable with people. Patience is key when interacting with Ibar, as he may take some time to warm up to new faces and situations. In the right environment, Ibar has the potential to blossom into a confident and happy pup. A caring and patient owner who understands his need for time and reassurance will be the perfect match for Ibar. With love and support, Ibar is sure to overcome his fears and embrace the joy that life has to offer. *He has had surgery for his cherry eyes twice but they have come back both times.*  You can apply to adopt our dogs at: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 4, 2025, 11:58 am

Story
If you are looking for a sweet and snuggly senior companion, Oliver is ready to meet you! He is an extremely loving boy who prefers to take things at a slower pace. He gets along great with other dogs and enjoys quiet companionship more than anything. His favorite activities include curling up beside you, napping in cozy blankets, and trotting proudly in his favorite sweater. Oliver is a devoted companion who bonds deeply with his people. He would do best in a home where he isnt left alone for long periods (retirees or homebodies would be a great fit). If youre looking for a soft-souled senior who will love you with all the wisdom of his golden years, Oliver is ready to be your devoted little sidekick.
