Thanks to a foster commitment, he was able to leave the shelter behind and make his way to Wisconsin. He is now safe and settling nicely into his foster home as he begins his next chapter. Meet Mr. Curls Mr. Curls is an approximately two-year-old Beagle mix (best guess) weighing around 35 pounds. Despite his smaller size, he has a big, charming personality. He is a happy, friendly dog who enjoys being outside and playing with other dogs. He is especially tolerant of energetic and playful dogs, showing patience even when others get a little rowdy. His personality shines through in everyday moments. Mr. Curls is playful, affectionate, and known for his adorable pout when he gets into trouble, a trait that quickly wins over everyone he meets. Mr. Curls would thrive in a foster or adoptive home that can provide structure, attention, and plenty of opportunities for play, enrichment, and continued socialization. Without a home commitment, she won’t be able to make the trip. Meet Leka Found as a stray, Leka is still settling into shelter life, but she has already shown herself to be sweet, gentle, and affectionate. She is a petite pup at just 12 pounds, making her an easy fit for many households and lifestyles. She is super sweet, cute, and friendly. She gets along with dogs, cats and kids. Leka is young and eager to learn, and like many dogs her age, she will benefit from patience, guidance, and routine. Her potty training, crate training, and leash manners are currently unknown since she was found as a stray, but with consistency and love, she is expected to do very well. Leka would thrive in a home willing to help her build confidence and enjoy all the comforts she’s likely never had before. This 1-year-old Chihuahua mix was surrendered when his previous owner no longer wanted him—but Buster hasn’t let that stop him from being his joyful self. Weighing just 12 pounds, Buster is a super happy, peppy little guy with tons of spunk. He has a bright personality and loves being around people. Even in the shelter environment, he remains affectionate, upbeat, and full of life. Buster is likely potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained, and he is neutered, making his transition into a home much easier. He has done great with other dogs, cats, and kids, with no issues noted, so he could be a wonderful addition to many different households. Buster will be available for transport on 1/17/26—all he needs is a foster or adopter to say “yes” so he can make his way to Wisconsin and start the life he deserves.
