Once he feels safe and comfortable, his energetic, playful side comes out, and he’s ready to have some fun! 🎾🐕💨 🗣️ A little heads-up: He can be quite vocal and loves to speak his mind, so be prepared for some barking! 🔊😄 🐶🐱 He has previously lived with both dogs and cats, so he has experience sharing his home with other furry friends. 🏡 His ideal home: This little guy is looking for an adult-only home with no children. He needs someone who will respect his boundaries, give him time to settle in, and let him build trust at his own pace. ❤️ ✨ If you have a little patience, a lot of love, and room in your heart for a small pup with a big personality, this sweet boy could be the companion you’ve been looking for! 🐾💖 Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. (Dogs in foster care are available to meet by appointment.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the dog first, or you’d like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a dog for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. **Holds are not available for puppies under six months, on Saturdays, or during adoption events.

Blue is 5 years old and a wonderful dog. He’s always lived with other dogs but as if 2 years ago doesn’t get along with older male chihuahua who is father actually. He’s not trained but listens and is super sweet. He also isn’t spayed. He is my third dog and they are mostly kept in the kitchen. I believe this has stressed him and it’s why he has become aggressive towards my other male dog Rexx. He really just needs a loving a patient person. Blue deserves a good loving home, that can be patient and willing to teach him. I hope someone can really give him a second chance. I don’t want an adoption fee only for him to go to a good home. I will keep him until he finds the perfect new home.

Karma is looking for a loving new home. She is a 2 year and 9 month old American Bully, spayed, friendly, playful, and lovable. She can be energetic and loves attention and belly rubs. She does great with other dogs, but because of her size and energy, she may not be the best fit for small dogs or very young children. She does have mild to moderate allergies that are manageable.  She can be both calm and energetic and I would love to find someone who can enjoy both sides. If interested, I can provide more details about Karma and answer any questions you may have. I also have lots of dog supplies that I would be happy to provide with her.
