Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Marble. I’m a shy, soft-hearted girl who’s still discovering just how safe and fun the world can be. I may not show my full personality right away, but once I feel comfortable, my sweet and playful side starts to shine through. I came from a home with many dogs, and when I first arrived here I was very timid. I’ve been through a lot, so I’m naturally cautious with new people and new dogs. Sudden movements or loud noises can startle me, and I may bark at unfamiliar visitors or large dogs at first. Sometimes I’ll even bark through the fence at a neighboring dog or when a new dog comes into the home—but once I realize everything is okay, I settle quickly. With time and patience, I’ve made wonderful progress. I now seek out attention and pets on my own, and I’m starting to really enjoy exploring, playing, and relaxing in the quiet comfort of the house. I love toys (maybe a little too much!) and one of my funniest habits is stealing toys from the other dogs just to get them to chase me. I’m fast, playful, and surprisingly silly once my confidence kicks in. I get along well with dogs of all sizes, older children, and I politely ignore cats. I’ve lived peacefully with multiple dogs and have never had a cross word with any of them. A calm home with a confident companion dog would be ideal for me—someone who can show me the ropes and help me feel secure. I’m mostly potty-trained and do great using pee pads. I have excellent house manners, am very quiet overall, and rarely bark unless other dogs start it first. I’m not crate trained, but I sleep happily on the bed and can be trusted when left alone—I’m not destructive at all. I don’t love the cold, so my leash-walking skills are still a bit of a mystery. I’m independent and not clingy. I’ll come to you when I want affection, and when I do, it’s truly special. I may never be a full-time lap dog, but I am a loyal, gentle presence who bonds deeply with those who give me time and understanding. My previous owner had to enter a nursing home, and the rescue took me in along with four of my canine friends. With patience, stability, and love, I’ll continue to grow into the wonderful companion I’m meant to be. If you’re looking for a quiet, affectionate toy-lover who will bloom at her own pace, I just might be your Marble. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Nicholas is a sweet, happy dog with a gorgeous brindle coat and a heart that is learning to trust again. He was found as a stray in Texas alongside two other small dogs, and it’s likely he’s spent a long time on the streets. Despite his past, Nicholas has a sweet demeanor and shows his love in his own quiet, heartfelt way. He does best with slow, patient introductions to new people and a home that lets him build trust at his own pace. Once he warms up, Nicholas leans into affection, showing just how loving and loyal he can be. Nicholas would thrive in a calm, understanding home that can offer him time, patience, and plenty of gentle love. He would also prefer to have another confident dog in the home so that he can model his behavior off of theirs. Nicholas is from Texas.
