Story
Stray Bae is a two-year-old tri-color chihuahua with a gentle, steady way about her that you notice almost immediately. Whatever her early days looked like, she came through them still open and trusting, and she connects with people in a way that feels easy and natural. She’s a people-focused dog through and through. Other pets are fine, but they’re not her priority. Bae wants to be near her person, whether that means sitting quietly beside you or following along as you move from room to room. She watches, listens, and stays engaged, like she’s keeping pace with your day. When you come home, she’s right there to greet you, eager and happy, popping up onto her hind legs to meet you face-to-face before anything else. It’s her way of checking in and reconnecting. She’s also more agile than you might expect, light on her feet and comfortable navigating around furniture and busy spaces. One of her little habits is stepping just ahead of you as you walk, weaving in and out like she’s leading the way. Bae would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day and enjoys having a close companion. She responds quickly to consistency and attention, and once she settles in, she forms a strong, steady bond with her person. She’s not looking for anything complicated, just a place where she can be part of someone’s everyday life and know she’s there to stay.

Story
Meet Sara! We actually call her Sister Sara… when she was a little puppy, her markings on her face made it look like she had a perfect cross right between her eyes and down her nose. Sara is up for adoption because her 92-year old human momma recently passed away. Sara is 8 years old and weighs just under 8 pounds. She’s super shy at first but once she warms up to you, she’s all play and cuddles. She has some typical chihuahua traits of shaking and barking when she’s scared and can be a bit nippy if her boundaries aren’t respected. That’s why we don’t recommend her for a home with small /young children. She would thrive in a more active home, with or without another doggie. She has lived with a cat and does well with that. She is spayed and current on all her vaccines, as well as flea & tick and heart worm prevention.

Story
Otis is a incredible dog. We adopted Otis at 2 years old from a shelter while we were living in New Mexico. He is now seven years old, with the same fun spirit just a bit more grey around his muzzle. Hes resiliant and strong, but caring and fun to be with. He is world class protector - we used to live in an area with more crime, and I beleive Otis helped prevent anything from happening to our family or property. We recently moved to the Austin area several months ago, and the home we're in now does not have easy access for him to go outside. We've also had a second child recently, so between working and the kids, we are not able to give Otis the amount of attention we would like to. Our hope is to find a new home for him where he can be cared for and loved. We're very thankful for the years we've had Otis in our life, he will always be a part of our family, and we hope by re-homing him he can spend the rest of his life with a family that feels the same.
