Meet Gumbo! This adorable boy was stuck in a high intake animal shelter for months before we saved him. Gumbo needed a tail amputation due to an unknown previous injury. His recovery went great and he is now all healed up and loving life! The only thing he is missing is a forever family. At this time, we're hoping to find a family for Gumbo who has another resident dog. Dogs help Gumbo feel safe and allow him to more easily settle into new environments. At only 19 lbs, Gumbo brings a whole lot of fun in a tiny package. He is super playful with dogs of all sizes and he is friendly with cats. He loves to be around people. His foster mom says he is the most snuggly foster dog out of the 50+ foster dogs she has cared for. Gumbo is estimated to be around 1 year old, neutered, vaccinated and current on prevention. I’ve been fostering Peanut since she was around 3 months old, she was born Jan 7, of this year, I also had her sister but she’s been adopted for over a month now and it breaks my heart that Peanut doesn’t have anyone to play with and I’m gone from home for work from around 9am-7pm. I love her so much and I want to keep her but I can’t afford the house I’m renting and I have to rent a room in my friends house and she has a dog that isn’t good with other dogs. I answered that Peanut isn’t house trained but she DOES go potty on pee pads in just one location of my house. She doesn’t go anywhere else. She is very cuddly and makes me lift my comforter at night so she can sleep against me the whole night. She doesn’t even get up til I do, she’s a very sweet dog who deserves someone who can be home more for her. I want to keep her so bad but my fiance left me and moved out of state and left me with this rental house I can’t afford. I don’t want to take her to a shelter

I'm writing about my dog Sammie. She's a 3-year-old female dachshund/Chihuahua mix, 11 lbs. She's sweet and loves to play, though she's standoffish with new people at first and then warms up. She needs a calm, adult-only home with no children and no other pets — she doesn't get along with other dogs. She is sweet and cuddly and always likes to sleep under the covers. Enjoys her toys and treats! Since my divorce I've been working much more, and Sammie was deeply bonded to my ex-husband and has been miserable without him. This is a heartbreaking decision, but I believe she'll be happier in a home that can give her more time and attention.
