Story
Meet Raul, an independent and spirited pup ready to find his forever home! Raul is currently living in a foster home and is looking for a family that understands his unique needs and can provide him with the love and attention he deserves. Raul does well with other dogs while out on walks, but his ideal home would not have resident dogs. He has a strong chase instinct with cats, so a cat-free household would be best for him. In his current foster home, Raul shares his space with two female cats, but they do not interact closely due to his tendency to lunge and bark. When it comes to being alone, Raul is quite content in a gated area or free-roaming for short periods. He's house-trained and hasn't shown any issues in that regard. While Raul is a loving companion, he can be a bit particular about being handled or picked up. Sometimes he enjoys being pet, but other times he may growl and snap. It's important to approach him with patience and respect for his boundaries. Raul has made progress in his behavior and no longer exhibits food guarding with humans. However, he still displays this behavior with the resident cats, so it's essential to feed him separately. If you're looking for an independent and spirited companion who thrives in a cat-free environment, Raul could be the perfect match for you. With the right understanding and care, Raul is sure to blossom into a loyal and loving member of your family. Don't miss out on the chance to give Raul the forever home he's been waiting for!

Story
Meet Mr. Cheese – Your Future Cuddle Buddy Extraordinaire! 🧀🐶 If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and delightfully quirky pup to share your days with, Mr. Cheese might just be your perfect match. This sweet, calm, and high-spirited guy is all about the simple joys in life—like curling up beside you on the couch, going for leisurely strolls, and catching up on your favorite shows (yes, he actually watches TV like a little human!). Mr. Cheese is a big-time lap dog and an even bigger people person. He’ll happily climb into your lap for snuggles and greet you with gentle kisses. He’s polite, respectful, and has impeccable house manners—plus, he loves his crate and will gladly head in there on his own when it’s time to relax. While he knows how to "sit," he's still learning the ropes when it comes to walking on a leash—sometimes his path is a little zigzaggy—but he’s eager to learn and would benefit from a patient human willing to work with him. He rarely barks (his foster has only heard it once!) and stays calm even when other dogs are noisy around him. Mr. Cheese is friendly with strangers but can be nervous around loud noises and unsure around children, so a quiet, kid-free home would suit him best. He’d thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time—he just wants to be close to his humans. His perfect day? A peaceful walk, some time with his favorite bumblebee toy, and a cozy nap curled up next to you. If you’re ready to welcome a sweet, gentle soul into your life and heart, Mr. Cheese is ready to melt into your arms (and probably fall asleep there too). Ready to meet your new best friend? Mr. Cheese can’t wait to meet you! 🐾

Story
Meet Fancy, a resilient 8-year-old rescue Chihuahua who, despite a rough start on the streets, has proven herself to be an incredible companion. After being found in neglected condition, Fancy cleaned up beautifully and revealed her sweet, affectionate personality. Now thriving in her foster home, she enjoys the comfort of a cozy doggie bed and spends her days relaxing, with her favorite toys close by for the occasional playful moment. She is tiny and all of 12 lb! Fancy is wonderfully well-behaved-she's not a chewer and can be trusted alone in the house without a crate. Her easygoing temperament and natural charm have made her popular with her foster siblings, and she's always up for a little playtime with her doggie friends. While Fancy is still mastering potty training, she's making progress and just needs a patient, loving hand to help her fully settle into a consistent routine. One of Fancy's favorite pastimes is snuggling on the couch, and she'd be the perfect cuddle buddy for cozy movie nights or relaxing weekends. Her gentle, affectionate nature shines through in everything she does, making her an ideal companion for anyone looking for a little extra love and loyalty. Fancy is ready to leave her past behind and find her forever home, where she can continue to blossom and be the cherished family member she deserves to be. If you're searching for a devoted, laid-back companion with a heart of gold, Fancy may be the perfect match! She is being fostered in a home in San Antonio, TX.

Story
Meet Mika!!! Mika is a Chihuahua that was my disabled mom’s dog. My mom passed earlier this year so I am hoping to find a loving home for her. She is currently in our home but we are unable to keep her. To my knowledge she is aprox 10 years old however she is still incredibly young spirted. She loves to cuddle, play and take walks. From what I’ve seen she does well with other smaller dogs. We do not have small children however she has always been friendly with anyone that she has come into contact with. I am not asking for any fees or funds, just want to see someone else love her as much as my mom did.

Story
Sundae is just as fun as her name sounds! She is the cherry on top of the chihuahua trio friends that her foster mom has in her care. She is the most social, outgoing and silly of the 3 ladies. She plays with the dogs here who want to play with her and she’s respectful of the ones who don’t want to. She is around 1-2 years old and about 11 lbs. She’s been a joy to foster and someone is going to be getting a great little lady with a wonderful personality to add to their family. I think she would be happiest with at least one other dog in the home. She is also happy playing with toys and with her foster mom. It’s unknown how she is with children but I think she would be fine with gentle kids. She is also house and crate trained. Sundae's adoption fee of $350 includes the vet exam, vaccinations, heartworm test, flea/tick preventions, rabies test, and spay. We prefer Austin, TX area adoptions. Will consider nearby cities.

Story
Sweet, tiny Tinkerbell is a 12 year "young" 6 pound little chihuahua. She loves to hang out in her little dog bed and watch activities in the home. She is quiet and loving. Does take a few days to warm up to new people. She gets along with all dogs but recommend a home with low activity and no kids under 12. Would be a great companion for retired person. She should not be allowed to jump from couch, chair or bed….she is delicate and has a luxating patella on the left knee. There is no pain despite this condition, which is typical of smaller dogs like Tinkerbell. Austin, TX metro areas only but we will consider nearby cities. Her $350 adoption fee pays for her vet care, microchip, vaccinations, flea-tick prevention, rabies vaccine.

Story
Welcome pretty PICKLES!! She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines as well as heartworm negative. Adoption fee is $350 and we prefer Austin, TX area adoptions. Pickles has had a tough time at the ranchette for the rescue, so she is in a foster home now. She can be slow to warm up initially, but once she feels safe--her little tail never stops wagging and so happily roll over for belly rubs. She has a sibling named Star (tri-colored) but it is best to separate them for adoption. The $350 adoption fee includes the vet exam, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and prevention, dewormer, and spay.
