Meet Gumbo! We saved this handsome boy from euthanasia at a high intake animal shelter. Gumbo needed a tail amputation due to a previous injury. His recovery went great and he is now all healed up and loving life! The only thing he is missing is a forever family. At only 19 lbs, Gumbo brings a whole lot of fun in a tiny package. He is super playful with dogs of all sizes. He even appears to be cat friendly! He loves to be around people, especially his foster mom. You will know when he’s happy because he has the most adorable smile! Meet Sara! We actually call her Sister Sara… when she was a little puppy, her markings on her face made it look like she had a perfect cross right between her eyes and down her nose. Sara is up for adoption because her 92-year old human momma recently passed away. Sara is 8 years old and weighs just under 8 pounds. She’s super shy at first but once she warms up to you, she’s all play and cuddles. She has some typical chihuahua traits of shaking and barking when she’s scared and can be a bit nippy if her boundaries aren’t respected. That’s why we don’t recommend her for a home with small /young children. She would thrive in a more active home, with or without another doggie. She has lived with a cat and does well with that. She is spayed and current on all her vaccines, as well as flea & tick and heart worm prevention.
