🐾 Meet Dotty — Born at AT2R, Ready for Her Forever Home Dotty’s story started right here at A Time 2 Remember. ❤️ Her mom came to us from a puppy-mill situation and gave birth to Dotty and her siblings while in our care. Mom has since found her forever home, and now it’s time for her babies to find theirs too. Dotty is a sweet, shy little girl who takes a little time to decide that everything is okay. Once she feels comfortable, her playful side comes out! She loves to run around, play, sunbathe, and hang out nearby watching you cook. We’re working on building her confidence and helping her learn that the world doesn’t have to be scary. 🏠 House trained 🛏️ Crate trained 🐶 Good with other dogs 🐱 Good with cats 👧 Good with children 💉 Up to date on vaccinations ✅ Spayed At bedtime, Dotty is perfectly happy sleeping in her own bed—but she won’t complain if there’s room in yours! Because she’s such a little girl, Dotty needs children who understand how to handle a small dog gently and respect her boundaries. If something scares or overwhelms her, she may jump out of someone’s arms or retreat to her kennel or bed. Those are her safe places, and once she feels secure again, she’ll come back out. Dotty doesn’t need someone to rush her. She needs someone who will give her a little patience, help her continue building confidence, and show her that she finally has a home of her own. Her mom already found her happily-ever-after. Now it’s Dotty’s turn. 🐾

Meet Gumbo! We saved this handsome boy from euthanasia at a high intake animal shelter. Gumbo needed a tail amputation due to a previous injury. His recovery went great and he is now all healed up and loving life! The only thing he is missing is a forever family. At this time, we're hoping to find a family for Gumbo who has another resident dog. Dogs help Gumbo feel safe and allow him to more easily settle into new environments. At only 19 lbs, Gumbo brings a whole lot of fun in a tiny package. He is super playful with dogs of all sizes. He even appears to be cat friendly! He loves to be around people, especially his foster mom. You will know when he’s happy because he has the most adorable smile! Story
Lothie’s story is one of heartbreak and resilience. Dumped in a parking lot in the Rio Grande Valley in over 100° temperatures, she and her littermates had all the odds stacked against them. A community with no resources, where rescuers homes are overflowing with unwanted and discarded pets, and no access to food or water. A video was shared online, and we couldn’t leave them outside. So Orphan Annie’s Neonatal Rescue agreed to take them in, pay for their transport to Austin, and provide the medical care they desperately needed. But before sweet Lothie could make the journey, a dog in the foster’s home bit Lothie on her face fracturing her facial bones. Lothie was immediately taken to the vet in Austin, where pain meds were prescribed, and a full evaluation was performed. The veterinarian believes there will be no longterm problems with the injury. Despite all this, she remains the absolute sweetest, calmest, most loving puppy. She just wants to be held, spoiled, and loved. Just like every puppy that comes through our rescue, Lothie is vaccinated for age, microchipped, dewormed, current on prevention, and the cost of her spay will be covered at Emancipet when she is old enough for surgery.

Meet Billy Jean!! This pint-sized pupper came to Orphan Annie’s at 3 days old from a partner rescue. Born in care, Billy Jean was the runt of the litter, weighing half the size of her littermates. At 135 grams (4.5 ounces), she just couldn’t keep up at the milk bar, and needed some extra support. We attempted to reunite her with her siblings at about 3.5 weeks old, but she was not about that life; and a hunger strike had her right back in the incubator at Orphan Annie’s. This feisty love-nugget has been hand-raised and bottle fed. She has known only the love, tenderness, and meticulous care provided by our wonderful bottle baby fosters. She loves laps for naps, faces for kisses, and friends to play with. If you think Billy Jean would make an excellent addition to your family, please fill out the app attached. Billy Jean has had her first round of vaccines, is microchipped, dewormed, current on heartworm and flea and tick prevention.
