Quarantine up July 16th, 2026 Meet Twinkie! ❤️ Twinkie is an adorable 10-pound Chihuahua with the sweetest personality you could ask for. She came to us from a shelter in deep South Texas with a severely injured eye that had to be removed, but that hasn’t slowed her down one bit. At around four years old, Twinkie is gentle, loving, and gets along beautifully with other dogs. She has a kind, easygoing nature, and I can truly see her fitting into just about any family—whether you have children, other dogs, or you’re simply looking for a loyal little companion. Twinkie is currently located in Hondo, Texas, but we do transport! Be sure to check the transport schedule on our website—we may already have a trip planned near you. Twinkie tested positive for Chagas but please do to let that scare you. She is doing great on treatment and the app cost is $30 per month for every 20 lbs of dog weight so not much at all. Meet Gabriel! Gabriel is our rescue’s official “Walmart greeter.” He has never met a stranger and loves everyone he meets—people and dogs alike. His sweet, outgoing personality makes him the first to welcome visitors with a wagging tail and a happy heart. Gabriel came to Tracy’s Paws Rescue after his beloved owner passed away. He is deeply bonded with his best friend, Evangeline. While Gabriel is the confident, social one, Evangeline relies on him for comfort and security. She becomes anxious when he isn’t nearby, so they are looking for a forever home together. Gabriel is truly a no-drama, easygoing companion. His favorite place in the world is curled up in someone’s lap, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. He’s also working on getting back to his ideal weight with a healthy diet, and we’re excited to help him shed a few extra pounds. Gabriel is currently being fostered just outside the Chicago area. Meet Molly, a petite, soft-hearted long haired Chihuahua mix is ready for a quieter life where she can finally feel safe and loved. At 17 pounds and just about 2 years old, Molly has all the makings of a little best friend—gentle, sweet, and happiest when she’s close to her person. Molly was found on the expressway, and while we don’t know much about her past, we can tell you this: She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She can be a little nervous when hands come in for pets, as if she’s still learning that kindness is the rule now—not the exception. With a patient adopter and a soft lap, she settles in beautifully and will continue to thrive with someone who’s home a lot and has time to help her continue to build the confidence she has already started to show. Molly’s eyes have shown some tear staining, but we’re already working on it, and it doesn’t take away from what she truly is: A beautiful little soul who just wants to be cherished. Molly will not do well in a home where people are gone all the time. She’s the kind of girl who’s looking for a lifestyle with couch time, companionship, and calm comfort—the simple things that mean everything to a dog who’s been through too much.
