Meet Joni Introducing Joni! Joni is an adorable Chihuahua / Dachshund “Chiweenie" mix puppy who is approximately 4 months old and currently weighs 5 pounds. We rescued her from the Weslaco shelter in south Texas, near the border of Mexico. Joni is a typical happy, playful puppy. She is very curious, social and ready for adventures with her new family. She is having a great time learning how fun it is to play with toys and has been eagerly exploring her surroundings here at the rescue. She enjoys being held and cuddled and will make a loyal, loving little companion. We have no idea who mom and dad are, but do expect Joni to being the 20 pound range full-grown based on her current age and weight. Joni is just a fun and sweet little gal and we can really see her doing well growing up in just about any family environment. She just loves being with people and we can’t wait for her to find a loving home to call he own! Joni is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and will be available for adoption after May 11th , 2024. Meet Laci Introducing Laci! Lacii is an adorable Chihuahua / Dachshund “Chiweenie" mix puppy who is approximately 4 months old and currently weighs 5 pounds. We rescued her from the Weslaco shelter in south Texas, near the border of Mexico. We aren’t sure how she ended up thee but we suspect that people have not always been very kind to this little cutie. Laci is a typical curious, playful puppy. She has a little bit of a warm-up period when meeting new people. But once she feels safe and knows you will be kind to her, she enjoys being held and loved on. As she continues to settle in here at the rescue, her little personality continues to emerge. We can tell the is all pretty new to her, but as she gets more and more used to her routine she has been doing well. We have no idea who mom and dad are, but do expect Laci to be in the 20 pound range full-grown based on her current age and weight. Laci is just a darling little puppy and we can really see her doing well in a quieter home without small children that can give her time to learn how cool it is to live in a home with a loving family, where she can be the best puppy she can be. Meet Norton Introducing Norton! Norton is an adorable Chiweenie / Terrier mix puppy who is approximately 4 months old and currently weighs 5 pounds. We rescued this little guy from the Weslaco shelter in South Texas near the border of Mexico. We don’t know how he ended up in the shelter but we are so happy he is here with us to find his loving, forever home. Norton is a typical happy, playful puppy! He is very sweet, social and enjoys exploring and playing here at the rescue. He is curious and enjoys being held. He has a big, dynamic personality and in true terrier fashion, he is very smart and likes to be busy and engaged. We can really see Norton doing well in a home where he can get lots of attention and playtime with his family. He will be a good fit for family who understands and has experience with the terrier breed and will be a great companion to go on adventures.. As with any puppy, Norton would benefit from basic obedience training to help him learn his manners and be the best puppy he can be. He would be a wonderful, loyal companion to grow up in just about any family environment. He enjoys playing with other dogs and would be a fun buddy for another dog his size. We have no idea who mom and dad are so we can only estimate that any will be a smaller medium-sized dog full grown. He is just a fun-loving puppy who can’t wait to find a home of his own! Here's what the humans have to say about me: Meet Dutch! Dutch was found as a stray living on the streets along the border of Mexico. He was picked up by a good Samaritan, had no microchip, and was covered in fleas and ticks. After a search to find his owner and no one stepped up for him, we welcomed him into our rescue! Dutch has been just a perfect citizen since he has arrived. Playful, loves everyone and is just a happy funny dog to be around! He gets along well with others, and just enjoys life! He has cute short legs and a deep bark! We love Dutch, and he would be a great addition to any family, we have no idea how he survived on the streets, but we do know from this point on he will never be without a comfy bed and a full belly!
