Story
Hi! My name is Bella and I need a new home! I'm just a tiny girl so I don't take up much room and fit nicely in most people's laps. I am half Chihuahua and half Dachshund, so they call me a Chiweenie. Well, I may be half this and half that, but I am full-blooded affection! I just need a friend or family of my own to share my love with. I adore humans, especially when they take me on walks because i can go, go, go! I like other dogs and would not have a problem living in a home full of fur babies. I am well -mannered and will gently take treats from your hand. Won't you please consider me? I will be forever grateful for a forever home with you!

Story
I found SkyLili on line, a young man was gonna go back to school and decided that he could not keep her. I thought she was going to be much bigger, but since he took her picture closer up, I couldn't tell that she was small, he just said she was 6 weeks old. I was so scared to get her, she was going to be for my grandson, and he is very small. But my daughter walked into my room with the tiniest of dogs I had ever seen! She was adorable, and definitely would not be bitting my grandson. So I had no reason not to keep her. When I finally took her to the vet, she didn't even weigh 5 lbs. I can't remember how much she weighed , I am getting the info from the vet, I remember thinking, wow, then she must have only weighed about a pound when I got her! She's extremely playful and I always figure that she still thinks she is a puppy! I had her fixed and microchiped and have always gotten her shots, and keep her on simparica trio. She's very funny! Loves to play take away!

Story
Charlie is 6 yr old Chiweenie. She is temperamental, yet loving. She has been around a younger Chihuahua, whom play rough. She likes children, but has to get to know them first. She does have allergies (to chicken) and may need allergy shots. Charlie enjoys escaping the backyard.

Story
we call her Annie, she was born Nov 27, 2025. She has started She knows how to use wee wee pads, and go outside w a leash . and she is adorable and calm and sweet deserves a family of her own. She will need an experienced /patient adoptive family. I rescued several small dogs. Belle Starr , is a very petite five month old sweet girl she is indoor wee wee pad trained, she is very shy and skittish until she builds trust , she will do best when the patient adopter message me for an adoption application to be considered, has not been around kids yet, I FEEL SHE NEEDS TO BE ADOPTED TO A FAMILY WITH ANOTHER SMALL DOG FOR HER TO FOLLOW THE LEAD easier transition for her to learn the ropes . Her mom is a shih zu and dad a chiweenie. Text me your email address for an adoption application to be considered 830 237 8588 ✨ Special Adoption Opportunity – Small Chiweenie / Shih Tzu Mixes ✨ We have several of these sweet little rescue babies looking for very special adopters 💛 All of them are fully vetted, but they come from a very unique background. They spent their lives with one elderly owner (a truck driver) and had very limited interaction with the outside world. Because of this, many of them can be skittish and unsure around new people and environments. 🐾 What they’re used to: • Going in and out of a dog door • Sleeping in bed with their person • Living with other small dogs 🐾 What they need: • A patient, committed adopter who understands rescue dogs • A slow transition into their new home • Safe confinement at first (small room + wee wee pads) to build trust • Time to bond at their pace 🚫 These are NOT dogs that can be put straight into a backyard — they are flight risks and can easily get lost if scared. 💡 In my experience, they do BEST in homes that: • Already have another small, confident dog • Are willing to follow guidance and give them time to adjust • Understand that trust is earned, not forced The amazing news? ❤️ Several have already been successfully adopted by families who followed these steps — and they are now thriving in their new lives! These are what I lovingly call my “project babies” — they just need someone willing to give them a chance. If this sounds like the right fit for you, please reach out and I’ll send over an adoption application 🐶💛

Quarantine Up: 7/16/2026 Hi! My name is Greta, and I would make the perfect family dog. I absolutely love people, adore other dogs, and everyone here at Tracy’s Paws says I have one of the very best temperaments around. I’m one of their favorites! I only weigh 12 pounds, and I promise it’s all sugar. 💕 Please don’t pass me by just because I’m a black Chihuahua mix. Sometimes dogs that look like me get overlooked, but my personality shines far brighter than my coat. Click on my video and watch me play. I think you’ll fall in love with me! 🐾❤️ Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip Breed and age listings are our best guess, based on appearance. Whether you're adopting from us or anywhere in the southern states, please familiarize yourself with Chagas disease. It's endemic in the south. Story
Quarantine up: July 16th, 2026 Meet Pebbles—one of the most unique little dogs we’ve ever had at Tracy’s Paws! She’s an adorable mix of opposites: the sturdy chest of a pit bull with the long, low body that reminds you of a dachshund or Chihuahua. The result? Pure cuteness. Pebbles weighs only about 8 pounds, and we don’t expect her to get much bigger. She’s a happy little firecracker who loves to play with the other dogs here and is always ready for fun. Like many puppies, she can be a little mouthy while she’s learning, so we recommend enrolling her in a puppy training class and using a crate to help her develop good habits and give her a safe place to relax. Pebbles has a big personality packed into a tiny body, and she’s ready to bring a lifetime of laughter and love to the right family. She’s so small you could almost carry her around in your purse—but we think she’d much rather spend her days by your side, making memories. If you’d like to see additional videos of Pebbles, we’re happy to make them for you. Just let us know! We’d love to help you get to know this special little girl even better. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind best friend, Pebbles just might be your girl. Story
Quarantine up July 16th, 2026 Meet Twinkie! ❤️ Twinkie is an adorable 10-pound Chihuahua with the sweetest personality you could ask for. She came to us from a shelter in deep South Texas with a severely injured eye that had to be removed, but that hasn’t slowed her down one bit. At around four years old, Twinkie is gentle, loving, and gets along beautifully with other dogs. She has a kind, easygoing nature, and I can truly see her fitting into just about any family—whether you have children, other dogs, or you’re simply looking for a loyal little companion. Twinkie is currently located in Hondo, Texas, but we do transport! Be sure to check the transport schedule on our website—we may already have a trip planned near you. Twinkie tested positive for Chagas but please do to let that scare you. She is doing great on treatment and the app cost is $30 per month for every 20 lbs of dog weight so not much at all. If you have a Costco near-by.... that's all you need. You can find out more about this on our website or copying and pasting the below links into your browser. If you’d like to see additional videos of sweet Twinkie, just let us know. We’d be happy to share more of this precious little girl with you.
