This is Henry. He’s 6 years old (turning 7) and a deeply loyal, people-focused companion. His DNA shows Akita, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, and Chow Chow — which explains his guardian instincts and big, fluffy presence. Despite that, he’s a total love bug who craves human connection and happily leans in for pets (he truly thinks he’s a lap dog). Henry has a moderate energy level with a great off-switch. He enjoys daily walks, rides calmly in the car, and settles nicely indoors. He is fully house-trained, knows basic commands (sit, shake, wait), and is very smart and trainable. He has done well with other dogs in structured settings, but due to his strong attachment to his person, he would likely thrive best as the only dog. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has no known medical issues. Henry is devoted, intuitive, and happiest when bonded closely with his person.

smokey was in Irvine pound & they were going to kill him because they said he was aggressive He was not. He was scared and protective while being incarcerated. The pound scared him by poling him. He was afraid of them all. His owner went to see him and he was a sweet boy. which surprised them. He was being reactive to other dogs on walks, aggressive however he has been in boot camp for a month and that issue has been worked with. He wants to be good boy and he is. He will need an experienced owner who will know. to keep him confident and be the leader with exercise.. contact adoptachowla@gmail.com
