With a very heavy heart, we are looking for a Chow Chow rescue or an experienced Chow owner who may be able to help our boy find the right home.He is a beautiful white/cream Chow Chow who has been deeply loved by our family. Unfortunately, after extensive training and management efforts, he recently bit our young daughter. Because of this, we have made the heartbreaking decision that he can no longer safely live in a home with children.This is not a reflection of him being a "bad dog." He is shy, anxious, and slow to trust new people, but once he knows you, he is one of the most loving, loyal, and protective dogs you could ever meet. He has so much love to give in the right environment.He would do best in an adult-only home with someone who understands Chows and is willing to be patient while he adjusts. We want to be completely transparent about his needs because finding the right fit is our top priority.We love him very much and want him to have the chance to thrive in a home

smokey was in Irvine pound & they were going to kill him because they said he was aggressive He was not. He was scared and protective while being incarcerated. The pound scared him by poling him. He was afraid of them all. His owner went to see him and he was a sweet boy. which surprised them. He was being reactive to other dogs on walks, aggressive however he has been in boot camp for a month and that issue has been worked with. He wants to be good boy and he is.
