This is Coco - she’s very smart, playful and loves for the hunt. She is obsessed at the idea of finding a squirrel or bird even rabbit.. anything interesting to say hi to. She loves the dog park, walks, hikes, laying out at the brewery or just hanging for a movie. While not a big cuddler she definitely still loves attention.She will come with a small bag of her food, her bed, blanket, crate and food bowl. She isn’t much for toys but enjoys treats.

This beautiful Chow Chow mix is a young adult with a story that will pull at your heart. When she was found alone and scared, she had just given birth to six puppies and had clearly endured more than any dog should. Despite everything she’s been through—and even with just one eye—her spirit is incredibly gentle, loving, and full of hope. She’s the definition of a cuddle bug once she feels safe. It may take her a little time to warm up, but with patience and kindness, she blossoms into the sweetest, most loyal companion. She’s looking for someone who understands that love sometimes takes time—and is willing to give her that chance. Misty is seeking a home with a confident, friendly dog who can help show her the ropes and build her confidence. She absolutely adores children and does great with cats. Story
Zeus is a 3 month old Chow-mix puppy. He is very gentle and sweet, but can be shy at first. Once he warms up he is goofy and loves to bounce and play, especially with toys and with other dogs. He loves food and is very food motivated so will probably pick up training quickly as he gets older. He is working on potty training and is very good about going on pee-pads. Chow chows can be a little antisocial so he will need a home where his family is committed to working on socialization and training. Zeus is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THIS DOG: Rosie is shy and fearful around humans and is bonded to Sammy. She requires patience, love, and guidance to help continue to show her how to properly dog and that the world is not as scary as it seems. Rosie is a very shy girl and is still feeling a little scared of humans. She does like to be pet and having her neck scratched. Her personality shows when she gets outside and argues with the squirrels but it takes a little while for her to get used to coming inside the house. Rosie has seen a lot in her life and has some trust issues with humans. She has never shown any aggression and will melt when she gets brushed or pet. Like her siblings, she will take some time adjusting to a new home and may never totally come out of her shell. She would be good in a home with a fenced yard or warm outside space and no cats. Rosie came into rescue with her two friends, who are also female chow mixes. All three were very scared of humans and refused to even be touched. Again, there was no aggression - but they would run away in fear if humans tried to approach. They have been fostered with our director's family for last couple of years while they have gone through a very slow introduction to the good side of humans. While they are now ready to find their forever homes, they do need adopters who are willing to take the time to win their trust and won't expect them to be going for walks around the neighborhood anytime soon. These girls can only go to homes with fully fenced backyards and very patient humans. These girls will not be attending our adoption events and will require meet and greets at the foster's home. ADOPTION FEE: $75 We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Petco in Fort Collins (2211 S College Ave. STE 200, Fort Collins, CO 80525)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Sammy will take some time and patience from a special human to get used to her surroundings and will need a fenced yard as she is not very comfortable on a leash. She will do best in a home by herself and no cats. Sammy came into rescue with her two friends, who are also female chow mixes. All three were very scared of humans and refused to even be touched.
