Hi, I’m Impulse! 🐾💙 I’m a 1-year-and-1-month-old German Shepherd and Chow Chow mix with a heart full of love, a playful personality, and one very important goal in life… to make my favorite humans happy! 🥹💙 My foster says I'm the definition of "man's best friend," and I think that's a pretty perfect way to describe me! First things first… I LOVE my people! ❤️ I'm an incredibly loyal boy who forms such special bonds with the humans in my life. Whether we're going on an adventure, playing together, or just spending some quiet time at home, I'm happiest when I know I'm making my people smile. I'm also a people pleaser! I genuinely love learning new things and doing what makes my humans happy. My foster says I'm incredibly respectful, patient, and intelligent, and I'm always eager to show off just how good of a boy I can be! And did I mention I'm a social butterfly? 🦋🐾 I get along wonderfully with big dogs, small dogs, cats, and people of all ages! I'm a friendly, confident boy who enjoys making new friends, whether they have two legs or four. I'd absolutely love having a dog sibling in my forever home! Having another furry friend to play with, spend time with, and share adventures with sounds like a dream come true. But here's something else that makes me special… I know how to have fun AND how to relax! 🤣💙 I'm still a young pup, so I have plenty of energy to burn. I love playing, going for walks, and enjoying anything that gets me moving! Give me some outdoor time and a chance to stretch my legs, and I'll be one happy boy. But once playtime is over, I'm perfectly happy settling down and relaxing with my favorite humans. I don't need to be running around every second of the day. Sometimes, just being near the people I love is more than enough. I'm the perfect combination of an adventure buddy and a loyal companion! 🥹 And guess what? I'm already a pretty well-trained gentleman! I'm crate trained, potty trained, leash trained, and house trained! I also know some basic commands like sit, down, and stay. Pretty impressive, right? 🧠🐾 Of course, I'm still young, so there are a couple of things I'm working on. Sometimes I get SO excited during playtime that I forget to keep my mouth to myself. I'm still learning to avoid playful nipping, and I'm also practicing sitting calmly when I'm excited. The good news? My foster says I'm already making great progress! I'm smart, eager to please, and willing to learn, so with a little consistency and patience, I know I'll keep improving. My dream home would be with an active family who enjoys going on walks, spending time outdoors, and including their dog in everyday activities. I'd love having a securely fenced backyard where I can play safely, and a friendly dog sibling would make my life even better! I could also do well in an apartment or townhome with a family who makes sure I get plenty of daily exercise and enrichment. Most importantly, I just want a family who will love me as much as I'll love them. He’s neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and has finished his heartworm treatment, so he’s all set for a fresh start.   When Husk first arrived, he was a quiet, unsure guy who preferred keeping to himself. Fast forward to today, and you’d hardly recognize him! He now explores the house with confidence, happily hangs with the other dogs, and even greets us in the kitchen after his bath looking for treats (his favorite thing in the world). Snacks are his love language, and they’ve helped him blossom into a calmer, more affectionate companion.   Husk is dog-friendly and feels more at ease with canine buddies, so another pup in the home would be a huge plus. He’s still a work in progress with potty training and the leash, but with patience, consistency, and kindness, he’s proven he can learn and adapt. Glitch is a young playful boy who loves giving kisses and being in his persons lap. He’s a happy fun-loving adventurous boy. He is happy to meet all people. Great with the other dogs and has confidence to boot (yes, at his young age). He is one who must have direction due to his willingness to check out the world. He is a little mix of possibly Shepherd and chow. Loves wrestling with his frenchie foster and even playing with the big dogs. He has been interested in the cats and barks at them. Each cat is different and he matches their vibe. He is almost fully potty trained and does AMAZING in his crate. Eats in his crate, sleeps through the night and doesn’t put up any fuss or fight when he needs to be crated for various reasons throughout the day. Glitch loves the beach and being active-going on walks and hikes! His battery only needs a quick recharge before he’s ready to go again.
