Hi, I’m Impulse! 🐾💙
I’m a 1-year-and-1-month-old German Shepherd and Chow Chow mix with a heart full of love, a playful personality, and one very important goal in life… to make my favorite humans happy! 🥹💙
My foster says I'm the definition of "man's best friend," and I think that's a pretty perfect way to describe me!
First things first… I LOVE my people! ❤️
I'm an incredibly loyal boy who forms such special bonds with the humans in my life. Whether we're going on an adventure, playing together, or just spending some quiet time at home, I'm happiest when I know I'm making my people smile.
I'm also a people pleaser! I genuinely love learning new things and doing what makes my humans happy. My foster says I'm incredibly respectful, patient, and intelligent, and I'm always eager to show off just how good of a boy I can be!
And did I mention I'm a social butterfly? 🦋🐾
I get along wonderfully with big dogs, small dogs, cats, and people of all ages! I'm a friendly, confident boy who enjoys making new friends, whether they have two legs or four.
I'd absolutely love having a dog sibling in my forever home! Having another furry friend to play with, spend time with, and share adventures with sounds like a dream come true.
But here's something else that makes me special… I know how to have fun AND how to relax! 🤣💙
I'm still a young pup, so I have plenty of energy to burn. I love playing, going for walks, and enjoying anything that gets me moving! Give me some outdoor time and a chance to stretch my legs, and I'll be one happy boy.
But once playtime is over, I'm perfectly happy settling down and relaxing with my favorite humans. I don't need to be running around every second of the day. Sometimes, just being near the people I love is more than enough.
I'm the perfect combination of an adventure buddy and a loyal companion! 🥹
And guess what? I'm already a pretty well-trained gentleman!
I'm crate trained, potty trained, leash trained, and house trained! I also know some basic commands like sit, down, and stay. Pretty impressive, right? 🧠🐾
Of course, I'm still young, so there are a couple of things I'm working on.
Sometimes I get SO excited during playtime that I forget to keep my mouth to myself. I'm still learning to avoid playful nipping, and I'm also practicing sitting calmly when I'm excited.
The good news? My foster says I'm already making great progress! I'm smart, eager to please, and willing to learn, so with a little consistency and patience, I know I'll keep improving.
My dream home would be with an active family who enjoys going on walks, spending time outdoors, and including their dog in everyday activities.
I'd love having a securely fenced backyard where I can play safely, and a friendly dog sibling would make my life even better!
I could also do well in an apartment or townhome with a family who makes sure I get plenty of daily exercise and enrichment.
Most importantly, I just want a family who will love me as much as I'll love them. And trust me… that's going to be a LOT! 💙
✨ My ideal home:
💙 An active family who enjoys walks, outdoor adventures, and playtime
💙 A friendly dog sibling, big or small, to play and grow with
💙 A securely fenced backyard for safe outdoor fun
💙 Children, especially ages 10 and older, who enjoy an energetic companion
💙 A family who will continue helping me practice my puppy manners
💙 Someone who appreciates a smart, loyal, eager-to-please dog
💙 Plenty of affection, companionship, and opportunities to be part of the family
💌 A word from my foster:
"Impulse is amazing! He's the sweetest puppy, so patient and friendly. He gets along with every person, dog, or cat he comes across. He's incredibly loyal and loves his person more than anything. He has brought so much joy into my life and the lives of everyone around him. He's respectful, intelligent, and knows when it's time to play and when it's time to settle down. You truly can't go wrong with him. He's an incredible dog, and he deserves the world!"
I may still have a little growing and learning to do, but I already have so much love to give! 🥹💙
I'm looking for a forever family who will take me on adventures, help me become the best version of myself, and let me be their loyal companion through all of life's little moments.
Whether we're exploring the outdoors, playing in the backyard, or relaxing together after a long day, I promise to bring happiness, laughter, and unconditional love into your home.
If you're looking for a smart, affectionate, playful, and incredibly loyal best friend who will love you with his whole heart… I'm your Impulse! 🐾💙
