Story
Meet Haley — the beautiful cloud who’s ready to melt your heart! Haley is about 1–2 years old and takes her time making friends, preferring slow smiles, gentle pets, and whispered encouragements (doesn't every girl?). At first she might peek from behind a couch or offer a sweet, tentative sniff, but with patience she blossoms into a loyal, loving companion who will show you neverending love. She gets SO excited to see her people when they arrive home, wake up in the morning or just walk in from another room! Haley is incredibly well behaved. She's house trained, loves her crate and doesn't chew or get into things she shouldn't. She’s medium energy with the occasional playful zoomies when she’s feeling cheeky. Haley is best with calm dog friends who give her space and won’t overwhelm her with rambunctious play; pushy pups need not apply, so she thrives best with chill doggie friends. Her fluffy, show-stopping coat is basically a hug you can wear, but it does need regular brushing and the occasional pamper session to stay tangle-free and cloud-soft. A steady routine helps Haley feel safe and confident as she learns to trust new people and places. It doesn't take long and is well worth it!If your home is calm, your heart is patient, and you have extra treats for slow introductions, Haley will blossom into the sweetest, softest friend you could ask for. She may start shy, but give her time and she’ll fill your days with unwavering love and fluffy joy.   Requirements for adoption: Must live in Georgia  Fenced backyard No apartments No small children Haley‘s adoption fee is $300. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm free (or have been treated) and are current on preventatives. Lemon loaf is one of a kind! She has the head & legs of a chihuahua and the body of a husky/lab. She is the most precious low rider. She does have hypothyroidism and will be on medication for the rest of her life, but it's not expensive. She will be loosing weight as her hormones adjust to the meds. She lives in a foster home with 4 other dogs and 5 kids. She enjoys being by her foster moms side and doing her own thing. Blackberry and Lemonloaf came from a terrible neglect situation. They were abandoned in a condemned home for weeks. She is very sweet, dog friendly, kid friendly.

Story
Meet Luna — a resilient, gentle soul learning how to trust again 💛 Luna is estimated to be around 1.5 years old and weighs about 45 lbs. She’s spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines — ready for her next chapter with a family who understands just how special she is. Luna’s story hasn’t been an easy one, but in the past few months she has made incredible progress. What started as a scared, unsure dog has slowly blossomed into a smart, loving companion who just needs the right person to keep guiding her forward. ✨ The good stuff: Very smart and eager to learn Great with both large and very small dogs (she truly thrives with canine companions!) Good with small children About 85% potty trained and improving quickly Walks beautifully on leash — no pulling Luna is so close to being fully potty trained. She’s already learned to go outside consistently when given the opportunity — she just needs a little more time and structure to master letting you know when she needs to go. 💛 What Luna needs: Luna is still building confidence and will need an experienced, patient adopter who understands fearful dogs and is willing to continue helping her feel safe. She can be nervous around some men, likely due to her past, so any male in the home should be prepared to go slow and earn her trust. She would do best in a home with another confident, friendly dog to help show her the ropes and give her comfort. Luna has already come so far in a short time — now she just needs someone willing to meet her where she is and help her keep growing. If you’re looking for a deeply rewarding bond with a dog who will truly blossom in your care, Luna is your girl. 🐾

Story
I met Stevie after seeing a post on Nextdoor. The meeting with my dog and Stevie went wellso I was allowed to bring him home to spend the night and meet my husband. I was not told that Stevie was not good with cats. We have my daughter’s cat and Stevie was very excited when he saw the cat. When I called his foster to let her know that as wonderful as Stevie is, it was not a match, she told me she could not take him back and said he would have to take Stevie to a shelter. I could not do that so I decided to foster him and try to find him a good home. I am having surgery at the end of June. I will meet people who are sincerely wanting to Give him a forever home. Contact me for more information. He is a beautiful, loving, smart dog! He was neglected and abandoned but he still loves people. He is healthy, neutered, up to dateon shots, a fast learner and eager to please.

Story
Meet Dutchess, a beautiful 5-year-old husky-chow mix with a gentle heart and an independent spirit. She’s the perfect blend of sweet and a little aloof—happy to be near her people, but also content doing her own thing. Dutchess is very smart, though she can have a bit of a stubborn streak, so she’ll thrive with an adopter who appreciates her independent nature and can provide consistent guidance. She does well with kids and has a calm, easygoing presence in the home. She’s both crate trained and housebroken, making her an easy addition to a structured household. She enjoys her routines and settles in nicely once she feels comfortable. Like many dogs with a strong prey drive, Dutchess loves to chase, so a home without cats is a must. She’s also quite the escape artist and has a true love for running and exploring. Because of this, she will require a home with a secure, tall privacy fence to keep her safe while she enjoys the outdoors. Because of her tendency to bolt, we’re looking for a home without very young or small children—just to ensure everyone stays safe and stress-free. Dutchess currently weighs about 40lbs., is approximately 5 years old (est. birth date 04/04/2021), and her adoption fee is $315. Dutchess has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Dutchess, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.
