Updated: 5/6/26 Dog Name: Putzie Sex: Male Estimated Breed: Chow Chow Mix Approximate Age: 3 months Litter Name: Grease Litter Approximate Weight: 12-14 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Not yet (too young) Description: Meet this sweet, gentle boy who’s looking for a calm and patient home to call his own. He has a very relaxed, easygoing personality and is happiest staying close by your side, exploring the world at a slow pace. While he’ll occasionally play with other dogs, he’s more of a companion pup than a high-energy playmate. He appears to be potty trained with zero accidents so far and has excellent manners. He’s not mouthy during play and hasn’t gotten into any mischief, even when not crated. He’s already showing how smart he is too, with great recall once he learned his name, and he knows “sit” while currently working on “lay down. This boy absolutely loves belly scratches (and will gently guide your hand if you miss the spot!) and is very food motivated, which will make continued training a breeze. He also enjoys entertaining himself with his favorite bouncy ball. He can be a bit fearful of strangers at first, so he’ll need a home willing to give him time to warm up and continue positive, patient socialization at his pace. With that support, he’s sure to build confidence and thrive. With his calm nature, he may do well in a home with cats, though he hasn’t been formally tested yet. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion who just wants to be near you, he could be the perfect fit. Adoption Fee: $650We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433 ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. May 13, 2026, 12:42 pm
