Story
Feather or Gus. We are neutered, chipped & vaccinated. We are Pug Schnauzer mix. Mom is 100% Pug & dad is Schnauzer/mini Poodle. We are 4 months old & our days consist of playing & taking naps. We are doing awesome with potty-training. Being 50% pug means we will shed. Even if you think maybe we won't because of our Schnauzer genes, it's better to assume that we will, because pugs shed a lot, so we won't be good in a home w/someone w/allergies. We are very playful. We are not crate-trained, although we do sleep in a playpen w/each other. We’ve never been alone before, so we will probably need to get used to it, or maybe someone will adopt who has a pup friend already. Tell us about yourself. Your location, your current pets, your work schedule & any info about your household. Adopt one... or maybe both!

Story
Hi, I’m Feather. I am a 4 month old pug schnauzer mix. I love playing with toys and doing zoomies. I am looking for a forever home with a family that will be home with me often because I really love the companionship of my humans. I’ve grown up with my littermates so I love other dogs. I’m not sure about cats. Please reply with a bit of information about yourself: your general location, current pets, work schedule, and a quick overview of your household. My humans want to ensure that I go to the best possible match for the both of us

Story
Pug / Dachshund Mix Age: ≈ 4 years old Female, spayed 15 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Cheerio came to the Sacramento County Shelter underweight and with an embedded foxtail in her neck. It was removed surgically, but post-op they had trouble stopping the bleeding. She tested negative for any blood clotting disorder - perhaps the surgery nicked an artery? Eventually, the bleeding stopped, but it left her anemic. The shelter needed a rescue group that specializes in medical cases to continue addressing her veterinary needs. Over time in foster care, her anemia improved and she gained her weight back. She is a very friendly, sweet dog. She likes attention and affection from her foster parents and volunteers. She likes roughhousing with the younger, larger dogs in her foster home. She doesn’t like being confined or kept away from the activities of the home. Crate training would be pretty difficult - lots of barking. Apartment living may not be the best option for her. We have no experience with her as an only dog. We would recommend that she go to a home with other playful, friendly dogs. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. Thelma is sweet, smart, energetic, loyal, and goofy! She is fully house-trained and is working on her leash skills which have really improved with her current foster family. She gets along well with other dogs and older kids. (She has not been introduced to cats yet.) She loves her squeaky toys and playing tug-a-war with other dogs. Rub her tummy and she gets blissed out. Super friendly on walks-wants to say hello to everybody: canine and human. Loves to run full speed when she can. Meet this 18-pound gal by filling out an application and a volunteer will contact you. (JH)

Story
Meet **Ruby** 💎❤️ Every friend group has *that* one... the fearless leader, the curious explorer, the one who says, "Come on guys, let's see what's over here!" That's our Ruby. Ruby is one of the six precious gems from Mama Jemma's surprise litter, born on **May 14, 2026**. She may have kept everyone waiting by being the **last puppy to make her grand entrance**, but she clearly just wanted to make it memorable! This spunky little girl is always the first to investigate anything new. New toy? Ruby's on it. Strange sound? She's already checking it out. New room? She's leading the tour while her siblings cautiously trail behind. She's confident, curious, and we have a feeling there's a very smart little brain working behind those adorable puppy eyes. When it's playtime, Ruby doesn't believe in holding back. She loves a good wrestling match with her siblings and can usually be found in the middle of the action, happily bouncing, tumbling, and convincing everyone else to join the fun. But once she's gotten all those puppy wiggles out, she's more than happy to soak up cuddles before gearing up for her next adventure. Ruby is looking for a **foster-to-adopt** home that will continue helping her grow into the amazing dog she's destined to become. She'll need a family ready for all the fun (and occasional chaos!) that comes with raising a puppy—training, socialization, adventures, and plenty of love. If you're looking for a confident little sidekick who will keep life exciting, make you laugh every day, and always be ready to discover something new by your side, Ruby just might be your perfect match. 💎 Apply to foster-to-adopt Ruby today and let this little gem lead the way to your heart.

Story
🐾 Meet Muffin 🧁 Freshly baked, extra squishy, and approximately 55–60 pounds of pure potato energy, Muffin is a 3-year-old English Bulldog with a PhD in Professional Lounging. His favorite hobbies include: ☀️ Sunbathing like he's on a tropical vacation. 😴 Taking championship-level naps. 🍽️ Performing the cutest little happy spins when food is involved. ❤️ Collecting belly rubs like they're a full-time job. Muffin is the definition of a gentle soul. He absolutely loves people, is wonderful with kids, and is happiest when he's soaking up all the love and attention his humans are willing to give. If you're looking for a laid-back sidekick who believes every day should include snacks, naps, and cuddles... congratulations, you've found him. Muffin came to California Bully Rescue as a rescue-only pull from the Bradshaw Shelter with a few medical hurdles to overcome. He's currently working closely with our veterinary team to get to the bottom of some incontinence issues. The good news? He's already making great progress! For now, this handsome little meatball rocks a diaper while we continue finding the best long-term treatment plan. His medical journey has been a big one, and we're still raising funds to help cover the cost of his diagnostics and ongoing care. If you'd like to help this sweet boy on his road to recovery, donations are always appreciated. ❤️ Through it all, Muffin has never stopped smiling, loving, or believing that his perfect family is out there waiting for him. So... who's ready to add one adorable, snorty, wiggly loaf of love to their family? 🧁🐾💕
