Beautiful Wynter is ready to make your family complete! Wynter is a 3-year-old, 20-pound, mostly white Poodle mix with a gentle soul and so much love to give. She arrived at AFC as a stray, covered in fleas and ticks, with her hair cut very short. She came in alongside Willow, who we believe may be her daughter. Despite her rough start, Wynter is slowly learning what it means to feel safe, cared for, and loved. This shy sweetheart will need a patient, experienced owner who can help her blossom into the pampered princess she deserves to be. Once she trusts you, Wynter’s playful side shines through — especially when it’s time for walks or zoomies around the sanctuary yard! She walks nicely on leash, uses the doggie door, and is learning the routine of going outside on command. Wynter is also quite the talker and loves to express herself, so she would do best in a house rather than an apartment or condo. She arrived at AFC as a stray alongside Wynter, who we believe may be her mother. Poor Willow came in covered in fleas and ticks, and her hair had been cut very short — but despite her rough start, this sweet girl is ready for a fresh beginning. Willow is shy at first and will need a patient, experienced adopter who can help her learn what it means to be a loved and pampered companion. Once she feels comfortable, her happy personality starts to shine! Meet Louie — a truly special little soul with so much love to give 💛 Louie is a 5–6 year old Poodle mix, weighing about 25 pounds, and he’s ready to find the forever home he so deserves. When he first came into rescue, Louie was missing an eye due to what the vet believes was an old injury. He has since had surgery to repair and close the area, and he’s healed beautifully — now all that’s left is his bright, happy spirit shining through! Despite everything he’s been through, Louie is incredibly sweet and gentle. He absolutely adores people and forms loving bonds with those around him. He also gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making him a great companion for a home with canine friends. (Cats aren’t really his thing — he thinks they’re meant to be chased!) Louie looks forward to his daily walks and gets the cutest little burst of excitement when it’s time to go. He also loves simply being near his people, whether it’s relaxing at home or riding along on a car trip — he travels like a pro. At night, he happily settles into his dog bed in his foster’s room and sleeps peacefully through until morning. He’s housetrained with a dog door and has lovely manners in the home. Louie may only have one eye, but his heart is completely full — and he’s ready to share it with a family who will love him just as much as he’ll love them.
