Story
Livvy is a darling young Cockapoo with the sweetest, gentlest spirit. True to her breed mix, she has that wonderful blend of Poodle smarts and Cocker Spaniel softness — affectionate, people-oriented, and eager to be close. Livvy is a tripod, but having three legs doesn’t slow her down one bit. She is very mellow and easygoing, making her a perfect little lap dog for someone looking for a calm, loving companion. She is dog friendly and has a kind, social nature that makes her a joy to have around. Livvy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and ready to bring her gentle heart to a forever home.

Story
THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. THIS DOG IS NOT IN OUR CARE. This dog is being rehomed by its owner. Little Paws Doggie Rescue has not met or evaluated the dog and relays information supplied by the source without checking accuracy or veracity. We do not warrant health, temperament, or suitability and are not a party to any adoption. All inquiries, screening, fees, and contracts must go through its owner. Interested parties must conduct their own due diligence to determine if this dog is a suitable adoption for their situation. Meet Jack! 🐾 Jack is a ten year old poodle mix with a curly black and white coat, a nose for mischief, and an enormous amount of love to give. He is, above all else, a cuddler! Once he decides you're his person, expect him to find his way into your lap and stay there. He carries himself with confidence and takes his role as family companion seriously, but that steady self-assurance comes paired with genuine warmth. He takes a little time to size up new people, and once he does, he's all in. His owners describe him as a heat-seeking missile aimed directly at the nearest welcoming lap! The Details: 🐾 Poodle Mix | 🎂 10 years old |⚖️ 25 lbs | 💰 Adoption fee: $200 About Jack: 🛋️ Jack's idea of a perfect day involves being close to his people. Once he's comfortable, personal space is simply not part of his vocabulary. 😎 Confident and loyal, with a big personality in a small package. He'll announce himself to newcomers, but once he's decided you're good people, the affection that follows is absolutely worth the it. 🐕 Dog-friendly at heart. He grew up alongside a canine companion and has always welcomed other dogs he knows. He can be reactive toward unfamiliar dogs on leash, but off leash in open spaces he reportedly does well. Medical Info: ✅ Neutered ✅ Housetrained ⚠️ Mild vision impairment (does not appear to affect quality of life) 🚫 Not recommended for homes with cats For more information or to inquire about adopting Jack, please reach out to his owner directly, Brett at brettonswain@gmail.com

Story
As a rescue, we witness heartbreaking cases of animal abuse and neglect from all across the state. Sadly, this story is no different. And yes — this is real. These photos are NOT AI generated. This is a living senior dog we saved from euthanasia.   Meet Theodent Toothpaste.   Until he can be professionally groomed, we aren’t even sure what breed mix he is. He’s estimated to be around 8–10 years old and has a heart murmur. We are still getting to know him, but one thing is already clear — he is deeply attached to his foster and just wants to feel safe and loved. So far, he has been such a good boy.   UPDATE 5/28/26 -- he has been groomed and photos to be posted soon.  His DNA showed he is 71% poodle and the other 29% is split among Bichon-American Eskimo-Shih Tzu-Maltese-Pekingese-Pomeranian-Chihuahua-Schnauzer-Cocker Spaniel   As we continue learning about his medical and emotional needs, we are asking for your help to raise donations for his care. Every contribution will go toward veterinary treatment, grooming, medications, and helping “Theo” finally experience the comfort and kindness he deserves. If you find it in your heart to help Theo you can donate by sending a check or money order to: UOH 4040 Railroad Ave Pittsburg CA 94565 PayPal beourpet@gmail.com Zelle beourpet@gmail.com Venmo @Umbrellaof-HopeRescue Help us help Theo live a better life!! #theoslifematters    GENERAL INFO:   Housebroken?: Yes, we think so Crate Trained?: Yes Leash Trained?: Yes Rides Well in Car?: Yes Non-Shedding?: Low to no shed Good with cats?: Yes, we think so Good with dogs?: Yes Qualifies for Seniors for Seniors?: yes Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5 Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.  Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee.
