Lilly was brought into a veterinary clinic to be euthanized because she had become "inconvenient". One of the vet techs (along with the vet) decided against that route and took her to the Carson shelter for a temporary hold until a rescue could be found. We could not say no. Lilly is sweet, even tempered and loves to take walks. She is a very good eater (and could actually stand to lose a few pounds) Medically, Lilly had some issues. She had a badly injured right eye which had to be removed. There was also the issue of an umbilical hernia and four mammary tumors. All of which have been take care of. Lilly's foster says she is an absolute delight! Having one eye doesn't slow her down and neither does her age. This sweet girl was found tied to a fence on a street corner by my son. She was matted, dirty, cold, and hungry. The vet said she’s not microchipped and is no more than 2 yrs When my son removed the leash, her personality instantly came out; she started running around, wagging her tail, and showing how happy she was to be free. Despite what she;s been through, she is incredibly gentle, loving, and trusting. We since bathed and shaved her, and she is so much happier and more comfortable now. She loves to play, cuddle, and be close to people. She does great with other dogs and people and has a very sweet, affectionate nature. She is not potty trained yet, so she will a need a patient home willing to help her learn, but she is eager to please and responds well to kindness. We would truly love to find her a safe, loving forever home where she can thrive and be loved. Please reach out if you think you might be the right fit for this special girl

1/2/26- The owner of the pups was taking off to college. He contacted our rescue and we agreed to help the pups. They are very sweet pups mom is a 15 lb pure cocker. They are very well rounded pups with great personalities. They are fully vaccinated, they went to our vet and received the 3rd vaccine and cleared. 12/1/25- Pepper came to us with her puppies about 2 and half months ago. Now is her time to shine. She is a wonderful . Sweet but shy pup. She loves all dogs of all sizes. She is very passive and shy. She does wiggle her cute butt like crazy but will dance around debating if she should come pick your hand. She is great with children. If you have the time and patience to give. You will never regret her. She had a very gentle spirit and lots of love to give. She rides well in thr car. She went to the vet and received her clean bill of health and shots. She is about a year and half and 15lbs.
