Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Annie is ready for adoption! She is a 3-year-old Mini Goldendoodle who weighs 18 pounds. Recently released from a breeder, Annie is learning what it means to be a dog in a loving home. Annie is a sweet little girl who just wants a couch to snuggle on and watch from afar. She is very timid and will take time to adjust to her new home. Once she knows she is safe, she will ask for your affection, but it will take time. She will sit on the couch with you, but not right next to you, at first. She will sleep in your bed, but jump off when you move. She has love to give, but it will be on her own time. Eventually, she will give kisses and even paw at you for some scratches. Annie will come into her own and having another confident dog in the home will help her learn; she loves playing with other dogs, especially outside. She does not walk on a leash, so she will need a fully fenced area to go outside (no invisible fences). Especially at first, she will be considered a flight risk. Annie requires a quiet home, as she is scared of quick movements and loud noises, so a home with no young children will suit her best. She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body, she would just be very scared. Annie uses a crate when her foster family isn’t home, because she is still exploring and can get into things she shouldn’t, like toilet paper rolls! Otherwise, she has the run of the house. She is not completely housebroken, but will go out with the other dogs in the house, just not on her own. House training was going better before the snow came! She will use a pee pad overnight, though. Annie is spayed, up to date with core vaccines, microchipped, and tested neg. for heartworm.  She has also been professionally groomed!  Her adoption fee is $475 We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 10, 2026, 1:50 pm

Story
Name: Luna DOB: 6/18/23Breed: Bichon/Toy Poodle MixSex: Female (Spayed)Weight: 10lbsLocation: Buffalo, NY***Fence Required / No Children under 12***I’m Luna, a retired mill mama. I spent the first 2 1/2 yeas of my life as a breeder dog, thanfully I was surrendered to this amazing rescue. I’m learning what it truly means to be a dog.  And wow!    I am a certified lap dog!   I love cuddling up with my foster mom!    I also love following her around but never get underfoot.   I love strawberries and blueberries!   What a treat!   And with my meals I get a dollop of low fat yogurt!   Scrumptious!  I have been working really hard on my potty training and as long as I’m kept in a schedule and you read my cues, no accidents!   I’ve learned my name and run when I am called!   I love the snow!   Can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this!   I also like to talk to those squirrels.  I think they want to play with me!   Here’s the deal though, this world is still so new to me and I’m still learning.   I would do best in a home where I can continue to be allowed to learn and explore at my own pace!   In return I will give you all the love and snuggles you could want!   Crate trained Good with dogs and cats Good with older, respectful kids (no small children)Life has gotten so much better!   All I need is my forever homeIf you’re interested in adopting Luna, please apply at www.716paws.org/adopt or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved ##2614906##
