Bailey is a sweet 6.5 year old cockapoo girl. She absolutely loves people and belly rubs. She has a bit of separation anxiety and is very protective over her humans when it comes to other dogs, cats, and small children. She would do best in a household without any children where she is the only pet.

My name is Tara, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am scared because I have not been around a lot of people or lived in a home as a pet. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. I will need time to trust people who want what is best for me and are not going to hurt me. That is something I have not experienced so far in my life. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. THEO IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE ADOPTED!    Meet Theo! If you love kisses in the morning, kisses in the evening, and kisses at suppertime, Theo might be the perfect pup for you! This adorable little doodle is incredibly affectionate and loves being around people. At just 5 months old and about 12 pounds, Theo is the perfect small companion with a big personality. He loves to run and play—especially games of keep-away—with both small and large dogs, and he does great with kids.  Theo is a smart boy who already knows how to use a doggy door and is crate trained. He’s also great at letting you know when he wants something! He’s currently working on leash training and slowly learning how to interact with cats. Theo would thrive in a loving home where he can get plenty of playtime, cuddles, and attention. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate companion, Theo may be your guy!
