Story
Bailey is a sweet 6.5 year old cockapoo girl. She absolutely loves people and belly rubs. She has a bit of separation anxiety and is very protective over her humans when it comes to other dogs, cats, and small children. She would do best in a household without any children where she is the only pet.

If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Tara, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am scared because I have not been around a lot of people or lived in a home as a pet. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. I will need time to trust people who want what is best for me and are not going to hurt me. That is something I have not experienced so far in my life. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Story
Hi! I am Evvie! Pleased to meet you. Are you looking for a lot of joy and giggles in a curly little package? That is how my foster mom describes me and I agree. Life is too short for grudges and I am here to enjoy each day the best I know how. I am a 4-year old cockapoo that came to Zoe's House after I was done raising puppies for my former owner. I must say that I much prefer a home setting over my former digs. Here is more my foster mom has to say about me: Socialization: Evvie is a fan of everyone she meets, humans and animals alike. Evvie is currently living with several larger dogs, but has met and played with the neighbor's smaller dog as well. She is fearless, but is very respectful about boundaries and reads other dogs well. Evvie has met several smaller children and absolutely adored them. She would be best suited to littles age 4 and up so that she doesn't knock them over as she does like to jump and try to give kisses. Training: Evvie knows how to sit for treats. She walks well on leash, although her nose is always trying to take her in multiple directions at once. Evvie is still mastering house-training and will need a home dedicated to creating structure and consistency so that she can continue to become more reliable in this area. Crate trained: Evvie is crate trained and stays in a medium-sized crate while her foster parents are at work. She goes in readily, especially when it is time to eat or she knows she will get a snack. She will rest quietly and does not whine or fuss as a general rule. Activity level/requirements: Evvie is a medium energy dog. She is over the puppy phase, but she is still quite energetic. She has done amazing on longer walks and hikes and loves to explore! Fence requirements: Fencing is preferred in a large lot setting, though not a deal breaker if the adoptive home is committed to frequent exercise on leash. Evvie is sight driven and will run when the mood strikes. She is very fast for such a little lady and she does not currently have a reliable recall. Boundary training is not an option for her. Personality: Has it been mentioned what a funny, happy-go-lucky lady Miss Evvie is? She is spunky and silly at times, but she also knows how to chill out and relax while the humans do their daily tasks. Evvie loves a good snuggle on the couch and likes to be held. When allowed to sleep on the bed, she prefers sleeping at the foot because covers make her too hot. She will sleep all night in crate or on the bed and is content to get up whenever the humans do. Health history: Evvie is UTD on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, & on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. She had a dental at time of her spay. If Evvie sounds like a good match, apply for her at zoeshouserescue.com and fill out an application under her profile. Applications are not received through other websites such as petfinder or adoptapet. Zoe'sHouseRescue Kennel #9117 Sinking Spring, PA

Story
Meet Libby! 🐾 Libby is a 4 year old maybe Cavapoo. That is what we were told, but honestly we are not entirely sure what this girl is, just that she is CUTE, spunky, and full of personality. Libby is learning what it means to be a loved, spoiled (and mannered!) dog. Libby is housebroken as long as she is taken out regularly and is crate trained. She will sometimes go into her crate on her own and does well being crated when left alone. She may occasionally cry for a short time but settles well overall. This girl has lots of energy and would thrive in a home with another playful dog who can match her enthusiasm. She loves having a canine buddy and would be most secure and happiest with a fenced in yard where she can run, play, and burn off her zoomies. Libby is sweet and affectionate with her people, but she is also very curious. She has a habit of counter surfing and grabbing things, so her future family must be very careful and consistent about keeping items picked up to keep her safe. She is already improving with structure and supervision. Libby has been good, though a little curious with cats. She is also great with young kids and does well with them. Libby would do best with an adopter who understands her energy level, is committed to continued training, and can provide both structure and playtime. In return, you will get a funny, loving pup with a big personality who is impossible not to fall for. If you are looking for a playful companion who brings equal parts sweetness and silliness, Libby might just be your girl 🐶💛 Apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com Kennel license 9117 Reading PA 19608
