Current Location: Lititz, PA Meet this handsome Cockapoo boy! With his gorgeous all black coat, soulful eyes, and gentle personality, this sweet guy is ready to find a family to call his own. He has a calm nature and enjoys a relaxed lifestyle filled with companionship, walks, and plenty of love. He is house trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, and walks nicely on leash. His moderate energy level makes him an easy companion. He enjoys daily walks and spending time with his people, but he is equally happy relaxing at home. This lovable boy tends to bond most closely with women, though he is friendly and affectionate with the people he knows and trusts. Like many dogs, he has a few quirks. He is particularly interested in paper products such as tissues and paper towels and can become protective of them if he finds one. He has done well with verbal redirection and responds when reminded to leave them alone. Management and continued training will help him succeed, making older children a better fit for his future home. He would do well as an only dog soaking up all the attention, or with another calm canine companion who shares his easygoing style. This sweet Cockapoo is looking for a family that will appreciate his gentle heart, good manners, and loyal nature. In return, he will offer companionship, devotion, and plenty of happy moments for years to come.

The only reason we are giving up our sweet lap dog is because of moving due to custody agreement for our daughter. She is 3 almost four in August. We can provide all of her records! She is very sweet and cuddly all the time. Excellent with young children. She’s been around our two youngest from birth up to age 3 and tolerates all of their shenanigans. She is house and crate trained due to my long work hours. She is okay with car rides, but will say they are not her favorite. She would much rather be playing outside for hours with the kids.

My name is Tracy, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am scared because I have not been around a lot of people or lived in a home as a pet. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The CSAC volunteer says that I am very shy, but I was loving all of the TLC that everyone was giving me, and I should be a good lap dog. The groomer says that I love to be held. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. I will need time to trust people who want what is best for me and are not going to hurt me. That is something I have not experienced so far in my life. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money.
