Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around WA state & Oregon but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, PayPal, if using PayPal the potential adopter will have to pay the fees & charges with PayPal. Talk about right time & right place. In an extremely busy well known park located on a busy road in China, Matt was found running around & on the road & was almost hit & killed. Our rescuer was there on a walk enjoying her day when she seen Matt almost get killed & hit by a car. She tried all over the park to see if anyone was missing Matt & searched & searched but no one come forward for him so they believe he was abandoned in the park. Now Matt is looking for a special family to cherish him & be patient with him & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all his needs. Matt was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Matt was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. Our beautiful boy is not the boy we first rescued, his lovely personality has now come out & he is flourishing. Matt brings so much joy & peace. He is a very gentle patient little soul. He just wants you to love him & he will love you back. He adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in his life to show him such true love & affection. He also can be found laying on his foster mums feet when she is sitting on the couch. When he finds people who love him they become his world. He is a very spirited & bouncy mini doodle love his foster mum & dad said he is just so lovely & can jump on the couch to cuddle either you. He is smart & can run up & down hardwood stairs. He will also want to cuddle in bed with you. He loves to run & play with his foster siblings & must go to a home with a young dog who will play with him & doesn’t mind him nudging him to play with him. Dogs are his world. He loves a good outfit & will get ready for you to put one on him. Matt eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats & supplements. He also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. All of his treats are homemade. When we first rescued him he was thin, we have already put several pounds on this adorable little chap. Matt has been taught to walk on harness & leash & has been doing wonderful. He would need continued work walking on his harness & leash. Matt is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Matt adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, baths, the hairdryer he loves it all. He also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Matt & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. He now loves his toys in his foster home. Matt has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. He is such an amazing, loving little lad. With Matt we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this boy. He does not like crates especially after everything he has been through. We are also looking for a forever home for Matt where someone is home during the day or Matt can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Did we mention this boy loves a good outfit too. Matt is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be very patient with him & understanding. Matt has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company in his loving foster home. He can be found at times snuggled up to his foster siblings. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Matt’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. Matt is now roughly 19 lbs & almost 2 years old & possibly a cockapoo & what he is mixed with we are not sure? He is microchipped, up to date on his shots including DHLPP, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we will not redo them except rabies as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. We have spent over $2000 on Matt with bringing him to the US with his travel airfare paying for his medical care, including, shots, neuter microchip etc, than his adoption fee comes close to covering. Matt has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had Matt with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Matt was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Matt’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Matt potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Matt & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Zoom followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Matt who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet boy. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Matt has an adoption fee of $850 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Description Hi! My name is Pumpkin, and I came all the way from South Korea in hopes of finding my forever home. I am a 6-year-old Poodle boy and weigh about 8 lbs — small, gentle, and full of love to give. (My age and weight are estimated.) I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, and now I’m ready for a new chapter filled with safety, kindness, and care. After everything I’ve been through, I’m so excited to finally have a family to call my own. So far, I have not shown any issues with other dogs, children, or people — but every dog may respond differently when settling into a new home. Adoption Details My adoption fee of $1,595 is a non-refundable donation that helps save the lives of other dogs in need. It covers my neuter, vaccinations, microchip, boarding fees, health certificate, and transport costs from South Korea to Seattle. A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs — you can bring your own when adopting or purchase one from us. Please note: We do not guarantee breed or age, as both are best estimates. Ginger’s Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and every adoption fee goes directly toward rescuing more dogs just like me. Thank you for choosing rescue. October 30, 2025, 11:55 am
