Story
Hi there! My name is Caramella and I am looking for my furever family- is it you?!I am a beautiful 7 month old cocker spaniel girl. My coloring and markings are what’s called a “chocolate Merle”. I came from a pet store that wanted to make room for younger puppies. As I am a breeder/puppy store dog, I am very shy when first meeting people. I’m simply not used to having the freedom to walk around and explore. When I first came to Guardians, I went to a foster home where it was quieter and I could get some socialization skills. There were other dogs there and we all got along really well!My adoption fee is higher than the other puppies and dogs at my rescue, but I'm told that I'm a more 'desirable' puppy than my other friends who are not as fortunate as me and will be at the rescue much longer than me waiting for their forever home. My adopter will know that their fee will be helping support the other 200 or so animals at the rescue and not lining a breeder's pockets. My $1500 adoption fee includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, deworming, microchip, and spay. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. If you'd like to experience all the love I have, and want to make me part of your family, please complete the adoption application by pasting this link into your browser: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sm2546&method=online_form_html&formid=21

Story
Hello, my name is Emma Grace! I'm an adorable little small breed puppy at 5 months old in early August. My mama, Estelle, was found as a very pregnant stray. The Good Samaritan that found her helped her have a safe place to give birth to me and my siblings and then our whole family was taken in by Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue. There we receive all of the medical and general care we needed to be ready for our forever homes. Mama appears to be a pure cocker spaniel, no one knows what daddy was, but we all look like cocker spaniels! I am friendly with a gentle puppy personality and love getting cuddles. My triple colors give me a very unique and beautiful look!My adoption fee is higher than the other puppies and dogs at my rescue, but I'm told that I'm a more 'desirable' puppy than my other friends who are not as fortunate as me and will be at the rescue much longer than me waiting for their forever home. My adopter will know that their fee will be helping support the other 200 or so animals at the rescue and not lining a breeder's pockets. My $1250 adoption fee includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, deworming, microchip, and spay. Story
Woof! The name's Mykah, and I'm a gorgeous 5-year-old black cocker spaniel with a BIG personality packed into my perfect 28-pound frame! Let me paint you a picture of my ideal day: It starts with me doing my happy dance because someone's reaching for my leash - I am PASSIONATE about my walks! Sure, I'm still working on my "chill out when I see other dogs and people" skills, but hey, nobody's perfect, right? Next up? Time to channel my inner athlete! Whether I'm dominating a game of fetch, conducting serious squirrel research in the yard, or making waves in the backyard pool, I bring 110% energy to everything I do. But here's where I get really special - I’m a big love at heart and once I get to know you and feel safe, I am yours forever!! I will become your devoted sidekick, ready for movie nights, morning snuggles, and being the best shadow you've ever had! and because I bond so strongly with my humans, it would be best if there are no small kids in the house. I'm also a total gentleman when it comes to house manners and grooming (these good looks don't maintain themselves!), I get along with other dogs but not cats, and I've already mastered the art of toy hunting - seriously, I've found every single one in this place! I’m looking for an active, adult-only family where someone is home most of the time to appreciate all this fabulousness. Think that could be you? If yes, then please complete an application using this link: https://tinyurl.com/FCCRadoptionapp

Story
BONDED WITH LEYLA Hi there! We’re Dexter and Leyla, a bonded pair of 10-year-old Cocker Spaniels looking for our forever home — together! We were recently surrendered to a Florida shelter through no fault of our own, and now we’re ready to fill someone’s home (and sofa!) with all the love we’ve got. Let’s talk about us individually, because we have very different personalities! Dexter is the social butterfly of the two — high energy, totally trustworthy, and always ready to start the day the moment you open your eyes. Oh, and fair warning: he’s a certified sock thief. Leyla is our more reserved girl and has some strong opinions — she is not a fan of being picked up suddenly or having her trash treasures taken away. She won't always be glued to your side, but don't let that fool you. Scratch her ears and watch her little paw reach out asking for more. She is a sweet senior lady. We are both treat-motivated (yes, VERY) and our weights (35lbs each) show it!! We are pretty good leash walkers who just need a few minutes to find our groove which is a good thing because we both need to slim down! We sleep through the night like champs in our cozy bedroom beds. We've been left home alone without any issues, and we are mostly housebroken — just a couple of minor accidents early on that were likely just tummy adjustments from a food change. We would do best in a home with dog-savvy kids 13 and up, and while we're probably fine with other dogs, we have no idea how we feel about cats. We come as a package deal — two hearts, four ears to scratch, and twice the love. Apply to adopt us using this adoption application link: https://tinyurl.com/FCCRadoptionapp Adoption fee: $495 for both of us together

Story
Hey there, I’m Charlie! I’m a handsome 5-year-old cocker spaniel boy with a full fluffy tail and I weigh a solid 26 pounds. If you’re looking for a friendly, playful pup whose tail never stops wagging, you’ve found your guy! I am great with other dogs and I’m always ready for a good time. But…a few important things you need to know first: The humans - especially the kids - in my early life were not good to me and so I need a home without kids. I do not like to share my food or toys and when I get a hold of something I really like and want to keep, I can be stubborn about giving it up unless you offer something better. As a result, I need a cocker spaniel-savvy owner who understands how I can be, will work with me and let me think everything (my human wants me to do) is really MY idea. Now, let me tell you about my special talent – the non-stop butt wiggle! When you pet me, hug me, or give me kisses, my whole back end just can’t contain the joy and I wiggle like there’s no tomorrow. It’s pretty much my signature move and I’m told it’s absolutely adorable. I can be a bit of a goofy boy and I wear that badge with pride! I’m crate-trained, love going for car rides and walks, and I know a few basic commands already. I’m a smart cookie and I’d love to learn even more tricks with my new family – just make it fun and I’m all in! Ready to meet your new best friend? Story
Hi, I’m Tony! I’m a handsome 2-year-old English Cocker Spaniel with soulful eyes, a gorgeous black-and-tan coat, and a personality that’s every bit as big as my good looks! I’m a young guy who loves being with my person. In fact, I’m a true Velcro Cocker! Once I decide you’re my person, I want to be close to you and involved in whatever you’re doing. One of my favorite hobbies is carrying treasures around! Tennis balls, toys, rocks… if I find something interesting, there’s a pretty good chance I’ll want to carry it along on my walk. I enjoy playing fetch too, although I sometimes get a little attached to the ball and need convincing that giving it back is part of the game. I’m looking for someone with dog experience who understands that some of us have big personalities and need patience, consistency, and time to build trust. New situations and unfamiliar people can make me anxious, and I can be vocal when I see strangers or other dogs on walks. I’m currently taking medication to help with my anxiety, and I’m doing much better. And once I trust my person, I form a strong bond and become much more comfortable with them. I’d do best in a home without children. I may be happiest as your one-and-only dog, although I could potentially live with a calm, easygoing dog who respects my space. I also prefer to enjoy my meals peacefully without anyone bothering me. So, what am I looking for? My person. Someone who appreciates a handsome young Cocker with a big personality, a loyal heart, and plenty of love to give. I may take a little patience and understanding, but I promise I’ll make the right person feel very special. Could you be the person I’ve been waiting for?
