Noah is our tall, dark and handsome man! He is a distinguished Cocker Springer Spaniel gentleman at 11 years young and around 50 lbs.( yes he is a bit chubby and needs to lose about 12 lbs). His owner passed away and no one else in the family would take him so we promised him a wonderful new home for his golden years. He loves attention and being petted and likes an occasional game of fetch. Noah has started to come out of his shell and is showing interest in going out and wagging his tail. He is pretty good on a leash and enjoys short strolls. Noah does well with other dogs his size or bigger so would be best as an only dog. He has not been tested with cats; we think he would do best in a kid-free home. As with anyone with senior status, his vision and hearing are not pawfect anymore (we can relate ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD) but he gets around just fine. He is a sweet, mellow boy who will make a great companion for a family especially one where someone is home of the day. Meet Mykah, a magnificent looking 3 year old, 28 lb cocker spaniel boy. If you are looking for an exercise buddy, he is your boy! He still has the energy of a puppy and needs an active adopter/family — he gets a 40 minute walk each morning and 2 hours of play in the backyard in the evening and could go longer if his foster dad let him. He loves to run in the yard where he has taken up the time honored tradition of chasing squirrels. He loves toys and balls (and does not like to share them) and has found every last one in his foster home. Mykah loves to go on walks and is strong! He wears a harness without issue and is working on his leash walking skills. He will need continued training to become more secure when he sees other dogs and cyclists. He is dog selective — good with his foster brother, an older dog but NO CATS. Mykah is very snuggly and affectionate with his chosen human and attaches to that person quickly. As such he needs an ADULT ONLY home (NO KIDS). He does ok in the car but needs to be crated (which he is fine with). He has a great appetite - no worries there - and has developed a taste for cheese. He is great for brushing, grooming and ear cleaning. Mykah prefers someone to be home more often than not and will bark when left alone or wants your attention. For that reason, we are looking for an adopter with a single family home and a fenced-in yard and where he will not be left alone for long periods. Hiii there! My name is Bella and I am 3 year old 21 lb cocker girl in search of my forever home. I was found tied to a tree in a lot belonging to some fireman in Broward county and let me tell you- ever since then - I have gotten nothing but S.P.E.C.I.A.L. treatment from everyone. I am such a happy girl!!!! I even received my own private escort on a big firetruck to the local shelter where they IMMEDIATELY called FCCR for help. Now I am safe in a foster home that is full of love, treats, and kindness!!! My ears are pretty bad and FCCR will be raising money to do a TECA surgery on them ...so I may not be able to hear after that, but I sure will be more comfortable and out of pain. Hellooooooo my name is Johnny!!! I am a 4 year old 30 lb cocker boy full of life, personality and energy BUT my story is one of loneliness, neglect and outright abuse! The nice gals at FCCR took me in after my "owner" decided they really didn't have time for me - I came severely matted with a collar embedded in my neck, heartworm positive, and scared to death of people. My old life consisted of living in a crate or running loose in a yard full of fleas and a brother who bullied me constantly - BUT THAT IS MY PAST and FCCR says my best days are now ahead of me. That nasty collar was surgically removed, my neck infection was treated and has resolved, I've been professionally groomed, and I have completed my heartworm treatment. My foster Mommy and Daddy are taking super good care of me- they say I am a survivor turned heartthrob LOL- they lavish me with love and attention, are patient with my quirky behavior ( it takes a while for me to trust humans and strangers) due to my previous trauma, and they understand that time heals most wounds, both physical and emotional . I'm told I am a super intelligent boy and a quick learner- specially with positive reinforcement in the mix ( ie food- I love food!). I get along with other pups as long as they respect me , are not aggressive / alpha and don't bully me. My foster mom says with the right "human leadership" I am a calm and sweet prince. NO KIDS PLEASE- they scare me- I need a quiet home where I can be the center of attention :-). I'm in a quiet, nurturing and loving foster home now- life is Good- the only thing better would be a forever home---with experienced pawrents that can decode my "stress signals," maybe take me to some pet training , and turn my sad story into a fairytale ending- could that be you? Hi everybody! My name is HollyHope but you can just call me Holly for short. I am an 8 year young/ 26 lb cocker girl with a southernbelle pedigree- at least that's what foster mommy says since I came all the way from Alabama LOL. A good samaritan and transporter was kind enough to rescue me from that Alabama shelter and bring me to the FCCR girls. Whew!!! glad she did that because I was heartworm positive, smelled a little funky and overweight. Now I have received my 1st heartworm treatment with the next and last one in a few weeks ( prognosis is excellent for full recovery btw) and I am looking like my svelt best!
