Story
Hi there! I’m Halsey, an 8-year-old, 18lb Cavalier mix girl looking for my forever home! I’m what you might call the perfect package - I’m house broken, friendly to everyone I meet, and I absolutely LOVE my people! I’m totally chill with sleeping in my crate at night, but let’s be real… my favorite spot is cuddling with you on the sofa! I get along great with other dogs and would be thrilled to have a doggie sibling to play with in the yard. I’m probably best with older, dog-savvy kids. Just a little heads up - I was found in the middle of a busy road, so I might try to dash out the door sometimes, but I’m a good listener and getting better every day! I’m great in the car and sit perfectly, which makes me the ideal road trip buddy! I’m an Instafit girl who loves to run and play outside, but when we’re inside? Total snuggle bug mode activated! I’m the best of both worlds - playful when you want adventure, cuddly when you want to relax. Could I be your perfect match? Apply here: www.floridacockerrescue.org Adoption Fee: $350

Story
Hi friends! I’m Arthur, a 10-year-old cocker spaniel mix boy with a gorgeous coat and a full tail that wags non-stop! I’m 30lbs of pure sweetness looking for my happily ever after. My story is pretty wild – I was found as a stray in an overcrowded California shelter the week before Christmas, and I was pretty sick. But a Good Samaritan couldn’t leave me behind, rescued me, and brought me all the way to Florida where I was nursed me back to health! Now FCCR is helping find me my forever home. I LOVE people (including older dog-savvy kids) and would do best in a calm household where someone’s around most of the day. I’m a total lovebug who adores being with my humans! I will roll over for belly rubs whenever anyone talks to me…even in an elevator and that’s how I greet my foster mom when she comes home. It’s my signature move…i roll over to collect my tummy tax! That said, I do fine when left home alone too. I’m fully housebroken, polite (no barking or chewing!), and I have excellent house manners. I wait to be invited onto furniture and take treats so gently. I love to explore, love to run, and love to cuddle. I get along with other calm dogs but don’t know about cats. I walk great on a leash even near busy streets, and I’m super chill – loud noises don’t faze me one bit! Here’s what you need to know about me: I have great hearing but have limited vision (blind in one eye, limited in the other). I am a pretty confident guy and I can map out my surroundings quickly but I’m not comfortable with staircases (a few steps are fine). I take daily eye drops like an absolute champ! I Because of my eyesight, I would do best with a calm doggie sibling who doesn’t mind me getting really close to them. Conversely if a dog startles me by getting too close (even just to be friendly) I may bark and retreat — it can be a little scary when someone is in your face. You know, personal space and all. Oh, and I just learned how to play and did my first zoomie – talk about living my best life! Could you be the forever family this sweet senior has been waiting for? Story
Hi ya, I’m Georgie! I’m a 4-year-old, 26 lb Cocker Spaniel boy, and I’m basically a fun-loving goofball wrapped in a beautiful coat! Let me tell you about myself! I’m the kind of guy who lives life at full speed with maximum enthusiasm. I’m happy, playful, and I LOVE being in your face because you’re just so awesome! When I’m in the yard, I turn into a silly acrobat—I run around like a whirlwind, jump up to get your attention, and chase lizards like it’s my Olympic sport! Spoiler alert: I haven’t caught one yet, but that doesn’t stop me from trying! I’m good with other dogs and would absolutely LOVE an active doggie sibling to match my energy and keep up with all my shenanigans. I have good house manners and I don’t mind the crate. I’m super excited to ride in the car (road trip buddy right here!), and I’m very food motivated, which means training with treats is going to be a breeze for us! Full transparency: I pull on the leash because I just get SO excited about everything, but with some leash training from my new owner, I’ll be walking like a gentleman in no time! Here’s the important stuff: I need a cocker-savvy adopter or family who understands my breed and can handle my high energy and enthusiasm. I’m not a good fit for homes with kids—I need a household that can give me the structure and attention I thrive on. If you’re looking for a silly, playful, lizard-chasing companion who will keep you laughing and on your toes, I’m your guy! Visit www.floridacockerrescue.org to apply! ADOPTION FEE: $350

Story
**Meet Jackson** Well hello there! I’m Jackson, a strikingly handsome 9-year-old Cocker Spaniel boy weighing in at 33lbs, and I’m on the hunt for my forever home! Now, I know what you’re thinking – “Wow, what a good-looking fella!” – and you’re absolutely right! But trust me, my charm goes way deeper than just these movie-star looks! Let me tell you what my foster mommy says about me. I’ve got impeccable house manners, and I am a smarty and know my basic commands. I love to go on walks but need a quiet neighborhood (no city life for me!) where there aren’t a lot of other dogs — I am reactive to other dogs passing by, but my foster mommy is working with me and I know I can get better. I also let her know when other doggies or people pass by the house…I’m a good protector! After spending lots of time with other dogs, I realize I do better and feel better when it’s just me with my humans. I love their one-on-one attention and I am more confident and learn more when we can train together. So I need a calm, adult-only forever home with an experienced cocker spaniel owner where I can be the only dog. Plus a fenced-in yard where I can play and train would be ideal. Now here’s where I really shine: I am a certified CUDDLE BUG at heart! I absolutely LOVE attention, giving kisses, receiving kisses, back scratches, tummy rubs – basically all the good stuff! If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with affection and stay by your side, that’s me! Ready to make me part of your family? I promise to bring love, loyalty, and plenty of snuggles to your home! Fill out an application at www.floridacockerrescue.org today! ADOPTION FEE: $350

Story
Hi ya! I’m Prince and I’m a 1-year-old brown and white freckled cocker spaniel boy, and if you’re looking at my photos thinking “wow, he’s adorable” – you’re absolutely right! I’m looking for a new home where my humans are around more often and can give me all the time and attention a prince deserves (it’s in my name, after all!). I’m a happy, friendly puppy who loves adults, kids, and other dogs. Cats? Haven’t met one yet, so that’s still TBD! I’m housebroken but might need a quick refresher in my new palace – you know, learning the lay of the land. I’m working on my crate training and crushing it, but leash walking? Yeah, I could use some help with that. Right now I’m more of a “let’s go THIS way!” kind of walker. Full disclosure: I’m ALL puppy, ALL the time! I love to play, I’ve got energy for days, and I’m basically a bundle of joy wrapped in freckles. The only time I’m not happy? When my humans leave. I get a little sad (okay, I bark) because I miss you already! I’m learning to be brave when left alone, but honestly, a good puppy training class would be perfect for us to bond AND help me become the well-mannered prince I’m meant to be! I need an active family who’s home often and ready for puppy shenanigans mixed with lots of love. Think you can handle this much cuteness? Story
Hi! I’m Beauty, a 3 year old, 26-lb black cocker spaniel. My name is very fitting, don’t you think? I spent my early years as a breeder dog living outside and sadly arrived to FCCR heartworm positive. But GOOD NEWS, I just finished my treatment and I’m expected to make a full recovery. I’m SO ready for my new life and now looking for my forever home! I’m a little shy, especially around men, so I need an experienced cocker spaniel adopter who gets that I need time and patience. When we’re out walking and I see strangers especially men, I might hide behind you…I’m learning to be more confident and brave but it takes time. I LOVE being outdoors and seeing wildlife. I LIGHT up when I spot wildlife—ibis, bunnies, birds—and I transform into the happiest girl ever! My tail untucks, my worries disappear, and I’m just pure JOY! I love other dogs, but not sure about cats and no young kids for me - they move quickly and startle me. I’m nervous around loud and unexpected noises (vacuums, lawn equipment, trucks) and I can bolt out an open door if scared. But each day I’m learning how wonderful it is to be an inside dog and be a valued family member. I’m discovering how amazing dog beds are and I’m starting to follow my people around asking for treats and pets! With your help, consistency, and lots of love, I know I can blossom into the confident girl I’m meant to be! Apply to adopt me here: www.floridacockerrescue.org Adoption Fee: $395

Story
A Little note from Maggie's foster Mom. Maggie is an 9LBS- 6 months old bundle of sunshine and cuddles. In the short time we have fostered her, she has learned so much and come out of her initial timid shell. Now she is unafraid and very friendly to everyone she meets as well as other dogs. At 6 months she is good at going outside or on the paper when needed. She was not much for walking on a leash but we are working on it and that is improving every day as she does love getting to see and meet other people and dogs that way. She is typically a quiet dog, but is very curious to look out the window and watch things happening outside. She is vetted, microchip and will need to be spayed at approximate age. Her adoption fee is $1,250. We are a small rescue, and a portion of this fee helps support the ongoing care of our dogs, including Milo, a Little Cavalier who requires surgery on both back legs. This is how we ensure every dog receives the proper medical care and support they deserve. Please note our adoption policies: We do not adopt to families with young children. Seniors are encouraged to consider adopting a more mature dog. We do not adopt out of State unless the adopter has a second home in our area. Thank you for understanding and for supporting responsible rescue and adoption.
