Story
🐾 Meet Louie! 🐾 Louie is a 9-year-old Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel/Miniature Poodle mix) with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he quickly becomes a total love bug who just wants to be close to his person. 💛 Louie weighs about 41 lbs and could benefit from losing a little weight, but he’s already on the right track—especially since one of his favorite snacks is cucumbers (yes, really!). He also loves pets and leisurely walks, making him a wonderful companion for a calm, consistent routine. He is great with dogs of all sizes, but is not a fan of cats. Louie is crate trained and housebroken, so he’s ready to settle right into his new home. He would do best in an adult-only home without children. ✔️ Neutered ✔️ Fully vaccinated ✔️ Microchipped 📍 Located in the Tampa area 💲 Adoption fee: $300 If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, Louie may be your perfect match. 👉 Apply here: www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt

Story
Hi friends! I’m Arthur, a 10-year-old cocker spaniel mix boy with a gorgeous coat and a full tail that wags non-stop! I’m 30lbs of pure sweetness looking for my happily ever after. My story is pretty wild – I was found as a stray in an overcrowded California shelter the week before Christmas, and I was pretty sick. But a Good Samaritan couldn’t leave me behind, rescued me, and brought me all the way to Florida where I was nursed me back to health! Now FCCR is helping find me my forever home. I LOVE people (including older dog-savvy kids) and would do best in a calm household where someone’s around most of the day. I’m a total lovebug who adores being with my humans! I will roll over for belly rubs whenever anyone talks to me…even in an elevator and that’s how I greet my foster mom when she comes home. It’s my signature move…i roll over to collect my tummy tax! That said, I do fine when left home alone too. I’m fully housebroken, polite (no barking or chewing!), and I have excellent house manners. I wait to be invited onto furniture and take treats so gently. I love to explore, love to run, and love to cuddle. I get along with other calm dogs but don’t know about cats. I walk great on a leash even near busy streets, and I’m super chill – loud noises don’t faze me one bit! Here’s what you need to know about me: I have great hearing but have limited vision (blind in one eye, limited in the other). I am a pretty confident guy and I can map out my surroundings quickly but I’m not comfortable with staircases (a few steps are fine). I take daily eye drops like an absolute champ! I Because of my eyesight, I would do best with a calm doggie sibling who doesn’t mind me getting really close to them. Conversely if a dog startles me by getting too close (even just to be friendly) I may bark and retreat — it can be a little scary when someone is in your face. You know, personal space and all. Oh, and I just learned how to play and did my first zoomie – talk about living my best life! Could you be the forever family this sweet senior has been waiting for? Story
Woof! The name's Mykah, and I'm a gorgeous 5-year-old black cocker spaniel with a BIG personality packed into my perfect 28-pound frame! Let me paint you a picture of my ideal day: It starts with me doing my happy dance because someone's reaching for my leash - I am PASSIONATE about my walks! Sure, I'm still working on my "chill out when I see other dogs and people" skills, but hey, nobody's perfect, right? Next up? Time to channel my inner athlete! Whether I'm dominating a game of fetch, conducting serious squirrel research in the yard, or making waves in the backyard pool, I bring 110% energy to everything I do. But here's where I get really special - I’m a big love at heart and once I get to know you and feel safe, I am yours forever!! I will become your devoted sidekick, ready for movie nights, morning snuggles, and being the best shadow you've ever had! and because I bond so strongly with my humans, it would be best if there are no small kids in the house. I'm also a total gentleman when it comes to house manners and grooming (these good looks don't maintain themselves!), I get along with other dogs but not cats, and I've already mastered the art of toy hunting - seriously, I've found every single one in this place! I’m looking for an active, adult-only family where someone is home most of the time to appreciate all this fabulousness. Think that could be you? If yes, then please complete an application through our website: www.floridacockerrescue.org.

Story
Hi there, I’m Brandi. I’m a gorgeous, sweet, six-year-old girl and at around 30 pounds, I’m the perfect snuggle-sized companion. I’m on the quieter side — you won’t find me barking up a storm unless someone knocks at the door and I gotta let you know! I’m a little shy when I first meet you. But once I decide you’re my person? Oh, the kisses you’ll receive. The cuddles. The warmth. I am a LOVER, through and through. I do best with calm, patient humans who will give me time to come out of my shell — and once I do, I’m all yours. I’m fully housebroken, a total pro in the car (road trip, please!), and I sleep like an angel — ideally right next to you in bed, if you’ll have me. I’m also treat-motivated, and fun fact: I am a big fan of baby carrots. Yes, really. I’ll do best as the only pet or with dogs my size or larger, and in a home without young children (no kids under 12). You can apply to adopt me through the rescue website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. Adoption fee: $395

Story
Hi friends, I’m Sadie Mae, and true to my name, I’m a Southern belle, sweet as can be and full of gentle charm. 💕 My family could no longer care for me and asked FCCR for help. I landed with a wonderful foster family who quickly discovered just what a gem I am. If you’re looking for a calm, gentle soul to share your life with — let’s talk. 🌸 I am an 8 year old, 30 lb cocker spaniel girl with a beautiful full tail. I’m the perfect size for snuggling.😄 During the day you might find me draped across the back of the couch, keeping an eye on the neighborhood and at night I would love to sleep in the big bed. I have excellent house manners — my foster mom leaves me free to roam in the house when she goes out. I’m a total pro…I don’t even need a crate! I will go into one with a little encouragement though if needed. I walk nicely on leash, love a good romp in the backyard with my foster siblings, and I’m a champ in the car. I’m still discovering the joy of toys — turns out play is pretty fun! 🐾 I know “sit,” I take treats like a lady, and I get along beautifully with dogs and all humans including kids. Cats — I’m interested in them but have not gotten close enough yet to know if we can be friends. But I’m basically I’m an instafit dog! 💕 I’m ready to give my whole heart to a new family of my very own. Could that be yours? 🏡 Apply to adopt me through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org Adoption fee: $325

Story
Hi, I'm Tony! I'm a 1.5-year-old English Cocker Spaniel boy with a gorgeous black and tan coat and a whole lot of personality to match. I came to FCCR from a local animal shelter, and I am SO ready to find my forever person. Let's talk about my favorite hobby: carrying things. Tennis balls, rocks, whatever I can find — I love to have something in my mouth on my walks. I'll even fetch for you! Fair warning though: I'm not really into dropping it… but once I trust you, I'll let you take it right out of my mouth so you can throw it again. I am a certified Velcro Cocker, which means I want to be close to MY person at all times. I do best as the one and only dog in a home, OR with a calm, easygoing pup who understands the concept of personal space. If another dog tries to get between me and my person, I'm not a fan. I also like to eat my meals in peace — solo dining only, please! I can be protective of my food bowl, but I trust my person to handle it. I'm currently on medication to help manage my anxiety, and it's making a real difference. On walks I can get a little vocal around strangers and other dogs — I'm just working through my feelings! — and I'll need some patience and treat motivation around my crate. A little grooming sensitive too — I may need to be medicated to get through a grooming session. I'm looking for an experienced Cocker home with NO kids — someone who gets the Cocker-tude and loves us anyway. Apply to adopt me through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org Adoption fee: $375
