Story
Woof! The name's Mykah, and I'm a gorgeous 5-year-old black cocker spaniel with a BIG personality packed into my perfect 28-pound frame! Let me paint you a picture of my ideal day: It starts with me doing my happy dance because someone's reaching for my leash - I am PASSIONATE about my walks! Sure, I'm still working on my "chill out when I see other dogs and people" skills, but hey, nobody's perfect, right? Next up? Time to channel my inner athlete! Whether I'm dominating a game of fetch, conducting serious squirrel research in the yard, or making waves in the backyard pool, I bring 110% energy to everything I do. But here's where I get really special - I’m a big love at heart and once I get to know you and feel safe, I am yours forever!! I will become your devoted sidekick, ready for movie nights, morning snuggles, and being the best shadow you've ever had! and because I bond so strongly with my humans, it would be best if there are no small kids in the house. I'm also a total gentleman when it comes to house manners and grooming (these good looks don't maintain themselves!), I get along with other dogs but not cats, and I've already mastered the art of toy hunting - seriously, I've found every single one in this place! I’m looking for an active, adult-only family where someone is home most of the time to appreciate all this fabulousness. Think that could be you? Story
BONDED WITH LEYLA Hi there! We’re Dexter and Leyla, a bonded pair of 10-year-old Cocker Spaniels looking for our forever home — together! We were recently surrendered to a Florida shelter through no fault of our own, and now we’re ready to fill someone’s home (and sofa!) with all the love we’ve got. Let’s talk about us individually, because we have very different personalities! Dexter is the social butterfly of the two — high energy, totally trustworthy, and always ready to start the day the moment you open your eyes. Oh, and fair warning: he’s a certified sock thief. Leyla is our more reserved girl and has some strong opinions — she is not a fan of being picked up suddenly or having her trash treasures taken away. She won't always be glued to your side, but don't let that fool you. Scratch her ears and watch her little paw reach out asking for more. She is a sweet senior lady. We are both treat-motivated (yes, VERY) and our weights (35lbs each) show it!! We are pretty good leash walkers who just need a few minutes to find our groove which is a good thing because we both need to slim down! We sleep through the night like champs in our cozy bedroom beds. We've been left home alone without any issues, and we are mostly housebroken — just a couple of minor accidents early on that were likely just tummy adjustments from a food change. We would do best in a home with dog-savvy kids 13 and up, and while we're probably fine with other dogs, we have no idea how we feel about cats. We come as a package deal — two hearts, four ears to scratch, and twice the love. Apply to adopt us using this adoption application link: https://tinyurl.com/FCCRadoptionapp Adoption fee: $495 for both of us together

Story
Hey there, I’m Charlie! I’m a handsome 5-year-old cocker spaniel boy with a full fluffy tail and I weigh a solid 26 pounds. If you’re looking for a friendly, playful pup whose tail never stops wagging, you’ve found your guy! I am great with other dogs and I’m always ready for a good time. But…a few important things you need to know first: The humans - especially the kids - in my early life were not good to me and so I need a home without kids. I do not like to share my food or toys and when I get a hold of something I really like and want to keep, I can be stubborn about giving it up unless you offer something better. As a result, I need a cocker spaniel-savvy owner who understands how I can be, will work with me and let me think everything (my human wants me to do) is really MY idea. Now, let me tell you about my special talent – the non-stop butt wiggle! When you pet me, hug me, or give me kisses, my whole back end just can’t contain the joy and I wiggle like there’s no tomorrow. It’s pretty much my signature move and I’m told it’s absolutely adorable. I can be a bit of a goofy boy and I wear that badge with pride! I’m crate-trained, love going for car rides and walks, and I know a few basic commands already. I’m a smart cookie and I’d love to learn even more tricks with my new family – just make it fun and I’m all in! Ready to meet your new best friend? Story
Hi, I’m Tony! I’m a handsome 2-year-old English Cocker Spaniel with soulful eyes, a gorgeous black-and-tan coat, and a personality that’s every bit as big as my good looks! I’m a young guy who loves being with my person. In fact, I’m a true Velcro Cocker! Once I decide you’re my person, I want to be close to you and involved in whatever you’re doing. One of my favorite hobbies is carrying treasures around! Tennis balls, toys, rocks… if I find something interesting, there’s a pretty good chance I’ll want to carry it along on my walk. I enjoy playing fetch too, although sometimes I need a little convincing that giving the ball back is part of the game. I also LOVE to swim! Put me near the water and I’ll happily show you my swimming skills. Having a pool isn’t a requirement for my forever home, but if you happen to have one, well… that’s just an extra bonus in my book! I’m a Cocker with a big personality, so I’m looking for someone who understands me and can give me the patience, consistency, and time I need to feel comfortable and build trust. New situations and unfamiliar people can make me anxious, and I can be vocal when I see strangers or other dogs on walks. I’m currently taking medication to help with my anxiety, and it’s making a positive difference for me. I’d do best in a home without children. I may be happiest as your one-and-only dog, although I could potentially live with a calm, easygoing dog who respects my space. So, what am I looking for? My person. Someone who appreciates a handsome young Cocker with a big personality, a loyal heart, and plenty of love to give. Give me the time to get to know you, and I’ll be your devoted companion for life. Could you be the person I’ve been waiting for? Apply here: https://tinyurl.com/FCCRadoptionapp Adoption fee: $375

Story
Woof! It's me, King Leo, and I turned the big 1-year-old this month, so I'm basically royalty now, right? I'm a chocolate and white cocker spaniel boy, 22 pounds of pure snuggle-seeking charm. I'm a little shy when we first meet — I like to take my time getting comfortable with someone new. But once I do? Oh boy. I turn into the biggest Velcro dog you've ever met. I'll follow you room to room, lean on your leg, and paw at you for pets like it's my full-time job. Because it is. I came from a breeder, so I didn't get to learn much about the world yet, so I'm still figuring things out — think of me as a late bloomer with a whole lot of love to give. I'm learning my house manners and do great in a crate and even at night (though let's be honest, I'd much rather stretch out on the bed with you). I love the great outdoors and walk pretty well on a leash but need continued training to learn how to stay calm when I see other dogs. I'd really thrive with a canine sibling in the house — a gentle, confident pup who could show me the ropes and help me come out of my shell even faster. I am still a puppy and love to play, play, play! I’m good meeting other dogs once I've had a proper introduction. I have not met any kids yet but I think I would do ok with older, dog-savvy kids who understand a shy guy needs a little extra patience and gentle hands. I also haven't met any cats, so I can't make any promises there. Toys are my love language (besides cuddles, obviously), and I'm working on sharing nicely, though a boy's gotta have priorities. I also love treats — like, really love them 🦴 — and I'm learning how to take them gently instead of like it's the last snack on Earth. I do best when I get my own food and treats separate from my doggy siblings, at least until we're good buds and everyone knows to stay out of my bowl. This shy, lovebug is just waiting to open up to the right family. Could that be you? Apply here: https://tinyurl.com/FCCRadoptionapp Adoption fee: $450

Story
Hi there! I’m Dali, a 6-year-old cocker spaniel boy with a gorgeous white and tan coat! I’m 27lbs of hubba-hubba handsome just waiting for the right home to help me shine. Here’s my story: I spent my early years in an apartment with limited outdoor time, so I’m still learning about this big, exciting world! My family realized I needed more – more space, more time, and more adventure – so they asked FCCR to help me find my perfect match. I’m looking for that special someone who will take time to understand me. I have a big heart and lots of love to give but I can be a little nervous when meeting new people (I might bark at first). Once I get to know you and trust you, I’m a big playful lovebug! I need an experienced dog owner who understands that slow introductions and patience help me feel safe and loved. What I REALLY need: a fenced yard where I can run and play to my heart’s content! I LOVE being outside, I LOVE play ball, and having another dog to play with and learn from would be amazing. I’m good with other pups and good with older, dog-savvy kids. I working on my house manners and need a regular potty schedule to help master this skill. As much as I love the outdoors, I get nervous when walking on a leash and can react to other dogs, so I need training and patience from my humans. That’s another reason why having my own fenced-yard to play in is so important for me! Could you be the patient, experienced dog owner I’ve been waiting for? I can’t wait to meet you!
