Story
There are five adorable puppies in our Primrose litter of 10 week old orphans that have just joined our Connecticut Rescue: Claudia, Eliza, Marius, Primrose and Rayne. All the pups in this litter have gentle temperaments and playful, friendly personalities. Despite the chaotic shelter process, these pups have weathered the storm and show no obvious signs of trauma or neglect.  It appears that the pups’ owner unwittingly facilitated an accidental breeding of unaltered adult housemates and then was overwhelmed by puppy love. She offloaded the puppies to a high kill rural North Carolina Shelter, and we were able to transport them to our place in Canterbury, Connecticut.  We have had the puppies DNA tested, and they are a diverse mix of breeds, but 56% of that mix is Collie. The weight range is projected at 40 to 60 pounds, and their working roots suggest that adopters should be prepared to provide a lot of exercise and mental stimulation.  Any of these pups would be an excellent choice for a savvy Working Breed adopter, willing to commit to ongoing training and socialization. They have taken well to basic puppy Positive Reinforcement training techniques and seem to enjoy the learning process. We seek adopters willing to raise them as Canine Good Citizens.  All of these pups could easily join multi-dog homes with older, playful dogs, tolerant of puppy energy. They would thrive with an active single, couple or family with older kids who have been taught to be gentle with young dogs.  All puppies are in excellent health, fully vaccinated and dewormed. If you are interested in one of our Primrose litter mates, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

Amos was a stray that found himself as a stray and later at a high kill shelter. Amos is a very sweet dog who needs an owner to show him love and regain the confidence he has lost from what we believe was abuse and neglect. Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Lacy is a one-year-old Airedale Terrier mix with a beautiful scruffy coat, a bright and curious mind, and a smile that shows up so often it is basically her signature look! This 45-pound girl is playful, smart, and surprisingly quick to figure things out, picking up the dog door instantly and arriving at mealtime without a single reminder. She plays fetch, loves a good game of tug, and has absolutely charmed everyone she has met by greeting them with the sweetest little hand lick after working up the courage to say hello. Housetrained, quiet in the car, solid on a leash, and sleeping through the night in her crate like a champ, this girl is already checking a lot of boxes! Lacy is treat motivated which makes her a great candidate for continued training, and she already has a solid understanding of come. She is a gentle and non-aggressive girl who has played happily with dogs of all sizes, and her calm curiosity around squirrels suggests she may do just fine with a cat in the home. Lacy is still building her confidence around people, so this sweet girl is a little timid about being petted, though she is already showing signs that she is going to absolutely love it once she fully settles in. A patient family who understands shy dogs will find her blossoming beautifully with time and consistency. One important note is that she is an accomplished 4 ft fence climber, so a six foot fence or leash walks are a must to keep this adventurous girl safely at home. A playful canine companion, a large yard or rural property to explore, and a kind and patient family willing to show her that people are pretty wonderful after all is really all this sweet girl is asking for. She is already smiling, and something tells us she is just getting started. To learn more about Lacy, text AARF at 931-260-8018 or visit www.aarf-tn.com today!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. June 20, 2026, 5:04 pm

Story
Welcome Kai to CCPAL Rescue foster program.  Kai is a very sweet girl, she is just about 1 year old. She is a German Shepherd/Smooth Collie (BorderCollie)  She weighs about 60 pounds and should stay medium sized.  She is good on a leash, good with other dogs.  She is mostly with her sister in her foster home.  She uses a doggy door and is good on leash and in a car.  She is fully potty trained and very smart.  She is good with children and likes toys.  She would be best with someone that is active and outdoorsy.  She would be fine as an only dog or would be good with another dog.  She will be a fun one to train.  She has good eye contact and attention to who is speaking with her.  She has one upright ear and one that is not.  She is getting her vaccinations and will be spayed and ready for her forever home.  She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast.  She would be a great family companion and could go with children.  We like children to be 8 or older.  Please be patient when you put in your application. Adoption fee for Kia is $400 and transport is $200.  This is a very desirable breed mix.   We are being very careful in vetting people and we are a small group of volunteers. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
