Her gentle nature shines through in her unwavering love for people; she craves affection and thrives on human touch. But it's not just people she adores-her heart extends to every canine companion she meets, finding joy in playful romps and tail-wagging friendships. Louise's loyalty knows no bounds; she sticks close to her family, her unwavering devotion evident in her excellent recall skills. House and kennel trained, she's a model of canine etiquette. Yet, her past shadows linger, and she seeks solace in the company of other dogs, finding comfort and confidence in their presence. Her journey to healing is ongoing, as she learns to navigate the world she was once isolated from as a puppy. Long hours confined would dampen her spirits, but with the warmth of a loving family and the companionship of other furry friends, she blossoms. Currently fostering in the heart of Seguin, Texas, Louise awaits a forever home where her sweet soul can truly shine, reminding us all of the transformative power of love and second chances. Story
PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. **Hi, I’m Callie! ❤️** I’m a happy 18-month-old Collie mix girl weighing about 50 pounds, and I’m looking for my forever family! I have these big pointy ears that I love to perk up when I see people, a fluffy sable coat that’s super soft for cuddles, and I’m almost always smiling with my tongue hanging out because life is just so good. I’m the gentlest girl you’ll ever meet — I really don’t have a mean bone in my body. I’m sweet, calm, and easygoing. I love everyone I meet and I’m great with kids and other pets. I already know all the important house rules: I’m fully housebroken, I’m a champion at using the dog door, and I’m super chill in my kennel when you need me to be. I just want to be near my people, whether that’s snuggling on the couch or going for nice walks. I promise to be your loyal, loving companion who fills your home with wags, cuddles, and plenty of smiles. All I want is a family who will love me back and give me the forever home I’ve been dreaming about. Please know that by adopting me, you’re committing to giving me a safe, loving home with good veterinary care and lots of patience while I settle in. In return, I’ll give you my whole heart every single day. Ready to bring me home? I can’t wait to meet you! 🐾

Story
There are five adorable puppies in our Primrose litter of 10 week old orphans that have just joined our Connecticut Rescue: Claudia, Eliza, Marius, Primrose and Rayne. All the pups in this litter have gentle temperaments and playful, friendly personalities. Despite the chaotic shelter process, these pups have weathered the storm and show no obvious signs of trauma or neglect.  It appears that the pups’ owner unwittingly facilitated an accidental breeding of unaltered adult housemates and then was overwhelmed by puppy love. She offloaded the puppies to a high kill rural North Carolina Shelter, and we were able to transport them to our place in Canterbury, Connecticut.  We have had the puppies DNA tested, and they are a diverse mix of breeds, but 56% of that mix is Collie. The weight range is projected at 40 to 60 pounds, and their working roots suggest that adopters should be prepared to provide a lot of exercise and mental stimulation.  Any of these pups would be an excellent choice for a savvy Working Breed adopter, willing to commit to ongoing training and socialization. They have taken well to basic puppy Positive Reinforcement training techniques and seem to enjoy the learning process. We seek adopters willing to raise them as Canine Good Citizens.  All of these pups could easily join multi-dog homes with older, playful dogs, tolerant of puppy energy. They would thrive with an active single, couple or family with older kids who have been taught to be gentle with young dogs.  All puppies are in excellent health, fully vaccinated and dewormed. If you are interested in one of our Primrose litter mates, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

These pups are in Middletown, Connecticut too!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.MONROE and her 6 siblings were saved from a large hoarding case in Northern Texas (April 2026) where the American Humane were involved due to the scale of abuse and neglect. After getting vetted and healthy they arrived safely to Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine on 28 May 2026. We welcome adopters from across the East Coast and Canada — many of our families travel to meet and take home their new best friend! Health & Background Estimated date of birth: 2 February 2026 ✅ Spayed ✅ Rabies and core vaccines up to date ✅ Monthly preventatives ✅ Microchipped with FiNano - registered with Free Pet Chip Registry. ⚖️ Weight approx 20 pounds at end of May MONROE is a sweet puppy, very goofy as to be expected for her age, lots of fun and very affectionate. She does walk on the leash and rides good in the car. I cannot say she is house-trained as she has access to outside pretty much all day and does go outside, but she won't know to let you know she needs to go out - so you must be prepared to help her learn. We are looking for an active family who understands the need of mental stimulation as well as the physical exercise for this intelligent active girl Our adoption fee's are $550 per dog/pup or $1,000 for two. Adoption Details Location: Dover-Foxcroft, Maine Families must complete and submit an adoption questionnaire. Once approved, you’ll be invited to schedule an appointment to meet and hopefully go home together. ⏱️ Applications are generally processed within 24-48 hours Click here for our Application Form!   Want to See More of Pictures? You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.JASPER and his 5 siblings were born after their mum, was saved from a large hoarding case in Northern Texas (April 2026) where the American Humane were involved due to the scale of abuse and neglect. "Sweetie" their mum was heavily pregnant and had a rotted, infected foot/leg that caused her leg to need amputation. Luckily she was saved and was able to give birth to 6 healthy pups in the safety of the local animal control department and their foster team. After getting vetted and old enough to travel (8 wks) they arrived safely at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine on 28 May 2026. We had planned to take their mum, Sweetie along with the pups, but we are happy to share that she was a Foster-Fail down in Texas. They have been fostered whilst waiting for transport. We post our available pets across the east coast and Canada and welcome applications from anywhere on the understanding that approved families must be prepared to travel to the rescue in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend. Health & Background Estimated date of birth: 19 April 2026 ✅ SPAYED ✅  Core vaccines (DAPPv, Bordetella, Lepto) RABIES ✅ Monthly preventatives ✅ Microchipped with 24PetWatch - registered with Free Pet Chip Registry. ⚖️ Weight approx. 20 pounds Texas Foster Report Card Summary Savannah is an adorable, affectionate young puppy who is already showing a sweet and lovable personality. Foster describes her as curious, playful, and full of charm, noting that she loves exploring her surroundings and greets her foster with a happy little dance when they come home. Despite being only two months old, Savannah is calm and relaxed in the home, settles quickly after activity, and is respectful of her environment. She enjoys cuddling with her people, loves attention, and has a gentle, easygoing nature that makes her a joy to be around. Foster describes her as "sweet, tiny, and funny," emphasizing both her affectionate personality and her playful puppy antics. As expected for a puppy her age, Savannah is still learning many of the basics and will benefit from continued training and guidance. She is currently working on house-training, is still learning commands, and needs more practice walking on a leash. She can be mildly vocal when crated but settles without significant distress and has shown no resource guarding, aggression, handling concerns, or behavioral issues. Foster reports that she enjoys being around other dogs, has a soft and bouncy play style, and balances playful zoomies with a surprisingly laid-back personality. While she can be a little nervous in the car, she has not shown any fears or sensitivities in other areas. Overall, Savannah is a sweet, affectionate puppy who would fit well into a variety of homes, including those with children, first-time dog owners, or families looking for a loving companion they can watch grow and learn.
