Story
ADOPT ME! We are sad to announce that Chase from the Paw Patrol litter is back with ALDR, because his family did not think he was a good fit any longer. Handsome fella is now a year and a half old, about 80Ibs, incredibly sweet, but nervous around new friends and takes time to warm up. We are working on helping him build his confidence and helping him feel safe and loved! Chase is well behaved, crate trained, house trained and walks well on a leash! He can sometimes be dog selective, so he would do best in a home without another dog or with a patient adopter who is willing to do a slow and proper introduction to be sure he will get along with any other furry friends. He doesn't seem to react to squirrels or cats while out and about in the neighborhood, but he has barked at his foster guinea pig brother, because he was a little scared of him. Chase is currently in a home with children and doing well, but may not do well with all children since his fear reactions can sometimes be intimidating. His ideal home would be with a family that is willing to give him time to adjust and reassure him he is safe and loved. He has also started professional training to help him manage his reactions when scared and we are recommending he continues to make sure he is set up for success. All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Any questions, concerns and suggestions, please feel free to contact us at ALDR@animalluvrs.org. ##1373323##

Story
Meet Washington! Washington is an interesting personality. He is very, very affectionate with people that he knows, and loves to roughhouse, wrestle and play but is extremely gentle when doing so. He loves to chase a ball, amuse himself with toys and is very active. He is wary of strangers initially, but greets well if not grabbed or touched roughly by a stranger. His person will need to introduce him to strangers, but it only takes a minute for him to warm up and want hugs. He gets along with other dogs and loves to play, but if bullied will stand up for himself and set the other dog straight without doing any harm. He is crate trained and house trained. His obedience is EXCELLENT. He knows "touch," "sit," "down," "off," "up" and "leave it." He will pull a bit on a leash if excited, but wears a Gentle Leader head collar and does well with it. He loves food (any kind will do), play, toys and long walks on the beach. Won't you be his companion? Apply at https://www.ewenityfarmsbch.com

Story
Meet Adonis, the sweetest good boy you could ask for! Adonis is around cats, other dogs, small children, and teenagers. He becomes wiggly and excitable when he sees our cats, so we DO NOT recommend a home with cats. Adonis is sweet on our children, and enjoys long games of fetch and chase. He is still a pup, so he needs a lot of play. In the evenings, he wants to be curled up in your lap on the couch. He has deep, sweet eyes and his fur is soft, like a fawn. He needs a family that will stimulate him, and enjoy lots of cuddles. Adonis is shy and timid initially, but once he gets comfortable, he settles right in and it’s like he’s been there the entire time. Highly recommend a fenced-in yard, or lots of open space away from roads. Stumpy tailed. UTD on shots. Neutered. Fostered in Pace Fl.
