Story
Meet Ruger, a sweet pup that needs help getting out of the shelter and to his new forever home. He was found in the orange groves with Remi (also available). Sadly, he is Heartworm positive and will need a soft spot to stay while he is going through treatment. He is looking for a foster or foster to adopt to help him on his journey. Ruger is a happy heeler with a tail that doesn’t stop wagging. He is appears to be good with dogs (slow intro). He isn’t sure what a toy is and will take treats but drop them on the ground. He loves scratches and will come for a little lap time and a kiss or two. He is multi-colored heeler approximately 2-3 years old, 39 lb,unaltered male. He will be neutered before leaving the shelter. If you would like to adopt directly, he is currently available directly from Highlands Co. Animal Services, 7501 Haywood Taylor Blvd, Sebring, FL
