I came to Big Dog Ranch from a shelter in North Carolina, and I’m so happy to be safe and ready for my next chapter 🐾 I’m a cuddle expert who also knows my basic commands — brains and beauty! I do need heartworm treatment, but no worries at all — it’s included in my adoption fee, and I’ll have lots of support along the way 💖 If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion who’s ready to snuggle up and be your best friend, I might be your perfect match. Meet Tumbes, a beautiful 2-year-old Collie/Hound mix who came to Big Dog Ranch from the Fitzgerald Humane Society in Georgia along with his five siblings and mom—all of whom have been adopted. Now it's Tumbes’ turn to find the right home where he can truly thrive. He has been adopted before but was returned because he struggled to get along with the children in the home. Because of this, Tumbes will do best in a calm, adult-only environment with a patient, experienced owner—especially someone familiar with hound or herding breeds. Tumbes is a high-energy pup who loves to stay active, play with toys, and go for walks. He’s already learned his basic commands and walks well on a leash. While he can be dog selective, he does enjoy the company of the right canine friends. Cats, however, are not a good fit for this guy due to his strong prey drive. Though he may be shy or reserved at first, once he warms up to you, Tumbes becomes a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys cuddling and one-on-one time. Tumbes is looking for a stable, understanding home where he can continue building confidence and enjoying life as a loyal and energetic best friend. Could that be with you?

WATCH MY VIDEO....Talk about a beautiful dog! Sky is beautiful in so many ways. Obviously she is gorgeous with those stunning blue eyes, but her beauty goes much deeper. She is super friendly and very generous with kisses. She loves to run and play, so if her new family has a yard, she will be so happy! She`s great with people, kids and other dogs, but a dog meet is recommended. She may be ok with cats. Sky is gentle, loves car rides, and as many toys as she can get. She is crate trained, and housebroken. Her family clearly loved her a lot, but when someone in the family became ill, they could no longer care for her. The family that gets to have Sky as one of their own will be so fortunate!

She loves saying hello to everyone she meets and is always excited to make new friends—both human and canine! She previously lived in a home with kids ages 4 and up and did great. She is always ready to play and would love to go on adventures. Playing outside is one of Mama’s favorite things. She enjoys running around, exploring, and soaking up the fresh air. When playtime winds down, you’ll often find her happily entertained with plush toys or anything soft she can cuddle or carry around. Mama is potty trained and ready to settle right into her forever home. Her experience with cats is unknown, and we would always encourage a meet and greet if you have a dog at home. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, social pup who brings smiles wherever she goes, Mama might be the perfect match for your family.
