Story
Meet Tumbes, a beautiful 2-year-old Collie/Hound mix who came to Big Dog Ranch from the Fitzgerald Humane Society in Georgia along with his five siblings and mom—all of whom have been adopted. Now it's Tumbes’ turn to find the right home where he can truly thrive. He has been adopted before but was returned because he struggled to get along with the children in the home. Because of this, Tumbes will do best in a calm, adult-only environment with a patient, experienced owner—especially someone familiar with hound or herding breeds. Tumbes is a high-energy pup who loves to stay active, play with toys, and go for walks. He’s already learned his basic commands and walks well on a leash. While he can be dog selective, he does enjoy the company of the right canine friends. Cats, however, are not a good fit for this guy due to his strong prey drive. Though he may be shy or reserved at first, once he warms up to you, Tumbes becomes a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys cuddling and one-on-one time. Tumbes is looking for a stable, understanding home where he can continue building confidence and enjoying life as a loyal and energetic best friend. Could that be with you?

Story
Hey there, I'm Snoopy 5056! 🐕 I'm a 9-month-old Poodle-Collie mix with a striking white coat and adorable black ears — and I'm ready to go. I've got plenty of energy and love playing with other dogs, so a home where I can run and explore would be perfect for me. I'm gentle and loyal, and while I'm still learning the ropes, I'm eager to bond with my person. Come meet me and let's start an adventure together! 💕

Story
We adopted Hope from a shelter in Maryland in summer of 2017 when she was 1 1/2 years old. She was found as a stray and had a pretty traumatic start to her life. Since then, her life has been a real adventure. Hope really is a wholesome dog. She cannot live without long walks, treats, and spending time lounging around the house with her favorite people. She loves to be part of a pack (family). She has overcome so much in life, but with a new baby in the picture, caring for her has become extremely challenging. With a little love, a few treats, and some ear scratches, she is such a loyal friend. She has explored the Pennsylvania woods, climbed mountains in Colorado, hiked through waist-deep snow in Idaho, barked at bison in Wyoming, and braved the Florida swamps. Hope is a dog who deserves a chance to continue her life with someone who loves long car rides, spending time outdoors, and eating steak. She just wants to be good, be loved, and have a place to call home forever.

Story
Introducing Sheila, a spirited and affectionate soul currently being cared for at I Heart Animal Rescue. Rescued from a challenging situation where she was confined outdoors and used for breeding, Sheila's story is one of resilience and hope. We initially saved her son, and after discovering Sheila was in a shelter facing euthanasia following her owners passing, we didnt hesitate to bring her to our rescue ranch. Since her arrival, Sheila has been making remarkable strides. Although she experiences some anxiety when alone, she's thriving with the companionship of her son and the loving care of our team. Sheila adores water and can often be found making a splash in the pool or eagerly chasing after a thrown ball. She is also diligently working on her leash skills and showing consistent improvement. We warmly invite you to visit I Heart Animal Rescue Ranch to meet Sheila. Witness her joyful transformation and consider giving her the loving home she deserves. Her heartwarming presence is sure to inspire and bring happiness to her forever family.
