Story
Meet Tumbes, a beautiful 2-year-old Collie/Hound mix who came to Big Dog Ranch from the Fitzgerald Humane Society in Georgia along with his five siblings and mom—all of whom have been adopted. Now it's Tumbes’ turn to find the right home where he can truly thrive. He has been adopted before but was returned because he struggled to get along with the children in the home. Because of this, Tumbes will do best in a calm, adult-only environment with a patient, experienced owner—especially someone familiar with hound or herding breeds. Tumbes is a high-energy pup who loves to stay active, play with toys, and go for walks. He’s already learned his basic commands and walks well on a leash. While he can be dog selective, he does enjoy the company of the right canine friends. Cats, however, are not a good fit for this guy due to his strong prey drive. Though he may be shy or reserved at first, once he warms up to you, Tumbes becomes a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys cuddling and one-on-one time. Tumbes is looking for a stable, understanding home where he can continue building confidence and enjoying life as a loyal and energetic best friend. Could that be with you?

Story
Meet Bernadette—if you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and loyal companion, she might just be your perfect match. She has a gentle heart, a fun-loving personality, and a soft spot for her favorite toys (her stuffed blue whale and champagne bottle are non-negotiables—they’ll be coming with her). She loves to play, but she’s just as happy being near her people and soaking up attention. Bernie is currently learning the ropes of being a house dog and is doing a great job. She’s smart, eager to please, and growing more confident every day. She even sleeps on her own in her bed in the living room—independent, but still close enough to keep an eye on things. Her ideal day includes some playtime, a cozy nap, and plenty of love. If you can offer a little patience and a lot of affection, she’ll meet you with loyalty, warmth, and a whole lot of love. Adoption fee for this dog includes DHPP vaccine, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) heartworm testing, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, wellness vet visit, one month of pet insurance and microchip. All animals are examined by a veterinarian. Please fill out our application at https://gkarma.wufoo.com/forms/good-karma-pet-rescue-dog-adoption-screening/ if you would like to adopt or meet this dog, and we will be in touch right away!
