Story
Gracie didn’t get the life she deserved in her first two years. Instead of safety, she learned fear. Instead of comfort, she learned to hide. Today, she still finds comfort tucked away in a quiet corner or closet—small spaces where she feels safe. But when Gracie chooses you… when she slowly, bravely comes forward for affection… you see her heart. And it’s something truly special. Gracie isn’t looking for an active home. She’s not asking for long walks or games of fetch. Gracie is looking for a sanctuary home. A place where she can simply exist without pressure. A person who understands that love doesn’t have to be loud to be real. Someone who will let her come forward on her own time… and celebrate the quiet, meaningful moments when she does. She loves peaceful mornings and calm evenings outside. She is HOUSE BROKEN!, incredibly quiet, and so very gentle. Gracie is not broken—she has just been through more than most. And despite everything… she still loves. What she needs now is someone to be her constant. Someone to give her the safety she has always deserved. This is a different kind of adoption. It’s not about what she can do for you—it’s about what you can give to her. If you have the patience, the compassion, and the heart to offer Gracie a true sanctuary home… please step forward. She doesn’t need perfect. She just needs safe.

Story
Paige joined our family in July of 2018 after being adopted from the Boyle County Humane Society. We believe she was around a year and a half old at the time. She came to us already housebroken and knowing basic commands such as sit, lay down, and fetch. Paige is a sweet, laid-back dog who enjoys lounging around the house just as much as she enjoys being outside to play. She has spent most of her life living with other dogs and cats and has done well with them overall. Recently, we’ve had some challenges after adding a small dog to the home. While they initially got along, ongoing tension has developed as the younger dog has matured. We feel Paige would do best in a home where she can be the only dog or in a calmer environment that better suits her as she gets older. This decision has been incredibly difficult, and Paige is deeply loved. Our hope is to find her a loving, stable home where she can relax, feel secure, and continue to be the wonderful companion she has always been.
