Rescued as a stray alongside his siblings in Alabama, Niklas got a second chance when he was adopted last year. He settled into home life, learning what it means to be loved and safe. But due to an unexpected change in his family’s circumstances, they could no longer keep him—through no fault of his own. Now, this sweet boy is looking for a new beginning with a family who can give him lasting stability. And what a dog he is. Niklas loves to be petted—truly, wholeheartedly. It’s like he’s making up for lost time, soaking up every bit of affection he can get. He’s smart and eager, happily sitting for his harness and walking beautifully on leash. Out on group walks, he follows along with ease, enjoying both the adventure and the companionship. He’s wonderfully adaptable—comfortable in his crate, relaxed when roaming the house, and great with other dogs. Niklas has that special, easygoing nature that makes him a perfect addition to so many kinds of homes. Add in his handsome looks and soft, wavy coat, and it’s hard not to fall in love. Niklas says he enjoys backyard time, daily walks, and cooling off inside after a day of fun. What he’d love most, though, is a family who will take him on new adventures while helping him feel safe and confident with new people. He’s ready to love again. Ready to belong.
