Favorite activities include carrying around sticks, playing with stuffed toys, and an enthusiastic game of tug-of-war. He's always ready to chase the resident dog around the yard and then happily climb into the foster mom's lap for cuddles and attention. If there's something nearby, there's a good chance he'll give it a lick—this curious pup loves exploring the world one sniff and lick at a time!  Leash walks are going great, and they're gaining confidence every day. Potty training is also progressing well, especially with a consistent routine. This smart, affectionate puppy is eager to learn and would thrive in a home that will continue providing love, playtime, and positive reinforcement. He is very good about going into his kennel with no issue. He sleeps in his kennel at night and goes in during the day. He gets to see his puppy sitter for potty and playtime in the middle of the day. And more play time after dinner in the evening. If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling, this puppy could be the perfect addition to your family! About Me: I was so lucky to get to come to MN from Alabama for a great life with a new family. That van ride took a long time, but I don't  mind being on the open road. I don't  mind the peace and quiet at my foster home. I am learning the ropes around here by following everyone around. I keep my eyes on the resident dog to see what he's up to most of the time. He lets me know when I'm  being a bother, but I think he likes me. We do play together often. I love all the sticks in the yard and I love to find the biggest one to drag around.  After a good play session I like to cuddle up with my foster mom in the recliner and take a snooze.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. **Hi, I’m Callie! ❤️** I’m a happy 18-month-old Collie mix girl weighing about 50 pounds, and I’m looking for my forever family! I have these big pointy ears that I love to perk up when I see people, a fluffy sable coat that’s super soft for cuddles, and I’m almost always smiling with my tongue hanging out because life is just so good. I’m the gentlest girl you’ll ever meet — I really don’t have a mean bone in my body. I’m sweet, calm, and easygoing. I love everyone I meet and I’m great with kids and other pets. I already know all the important house rules: I’m fully housebroken, I’m a champion at using the dog door, and I’m super chill in my kennel when you need me to be. I just want to be near my people, whether that’s snuggling on the couch or going for nice walks. I promise to be your loyal, loving companion who fills your home with wags, cuddles, and plenty of smiles. All I want is a family who will love me back and give me the forever home I’ve been dreaming about. Please know that by adopting me, you’re committing to giving me a safe, loving home with good veterinary care and lots of patience while I settle in. In return, I’ll give you my whole heart every single day. Ready to bring me home? I can’t wait to meet you! 🐾

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.       Snow’s story begins in a way no dog’s ever should. She was rescued in Arkansas as part of an animal cruelty case, and what she endured is something we’ll never fully understand. But what matters most about Snow isn’t where she started—it’s who she is now. And who she is now? An absolute angel. Snow is one of those dogs who just… wants to love and be loved. She’s gentle, sweet, and so eager to make her people happy. Despite everything she’s been through, she meets the world with trust, kindness, and the softest little soul. She does great with kids, gets along well with other dogs, and while she hasn’t officially met any cats yet, her easygoing nature suggests she might be just fine. She’d love a doggy friend, but she’d also be perfectly content being your one and only—as long as she’s getting all the love she deserves. Snow is potty trained when kept on a schedule (about every 4 hours works great in a fenced yard), and she thrives on routine. She’s still building confidence on a leash, so a fenced yard would be helpful for her while she continues learning, but not required if you continue to help teach! And yes—Snow has just one eye. But around here, we think that just adds to her charm and her story. She doesn’t let it slow her down one bit, and honestly? She’s already twice the dog—strong, resilient, and full of love. Snow isn’t defined by what happened to her. She’s defined by how she shows up now: brave, forgiving, and ready to be someone’s whole world. If you’re looking for a best friend who will love you deeply, quietly, and completely… Snow is your girl   I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Want to meet me? Come to Underdog Rescue Headquarters (3345 Dakota Ave, St. Louis Park, 55416) on Thursday, July 23rd from 5:00-6:30 pm. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs.   Nashville is a bright, confident puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This zany little guy approaches life with enthusiasm and curiosity, always ready for his next adventure. Whether he’s zooming around the yard, playing with his favorite toys, or making new friends, Nashville brings fun wherever he goes. Nashville loves people of all ages, including children, and is incredibly affectionate. Give him about two minutes to introduce himself, and he’ll be ready to shower you with cuddles and puppy kisses. He thrives on attention and loves being part of whatever his family is doing. This intelligent pup is doing wonderfully with leash training and enjoys exploring the world on walks. One of his cutest habits is stopping mid-walk just to sit and take in the sights around him. He loves observing everything happening in his surroundings before continuing on his way. Nashville is also learning to fetch and enjoys running and playing in the yard. Playful, goofy, smart, and eager to engage with his people, Nashville has all the makings of an amazing companion. He rides well in the car and would love a family that is ready for the fun, laughter, and occasional puppy antics that come with raising an active young dog. Playful, athletic, intelligent, loves to cuddle. He is great with kids, and all dogs and cats. Has already learned sit, turn and kennel commands, is very food on leash and is fully crate trained. Almost totally housebroken, but has a large appetite and needs to be let out soon after eating or drinking. An old soul and very affectionate, Nash will be a wonderful family companion.  If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic sidekick who will keep you smiling and then happily curl up for snuggles, Nashville may be the perfect addition to your family! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Story
Meet Finley! Finley is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly — truly the best of both worlds. She’s always up for whatever the day brings, whether that’s zooming around the yard or curling up for cuddle time. Affectionate and full of love, Finley adores giving kisses and being close to her people. She has a goofy, playful personality and loves snacks almost as much as she loves running full speed outside. Toys? She loves them all! Being outdoors is one of her favorite things. She’s gaining confidence when meeting other dogs and may be a little shy at first, but she warms up nicely with positive introductions. Finley does great meeting new people and has a naturally loving, friendly personality. She’s currently learning how to walk on a leash and is doing well with potty training. With continued guidance and consistency, she’s going to grow into an amazing lifelong companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, affectionate pup who can keep up with adventures but also melt into your arms, Finley is your girl.
