Rescued as a stray alongside his siblings in Alabama, Niklas got a second chance when he was adopted last year. He settled into home life, learning what it means to be loved and safe. But due to an unexpected change in his family’s circumstances, they could no longer keep him—through no fault of his own. Now, this sweet boy is looking for a new beginning with a family who can give him lasting stability. And what a dog he is. Niklas loves to be petted—truly, wholeheartedly. It’s like he’s making up for lost time, soaking up every bit of affection he can get. He’s smart and eager, happily sitting for his harness and walking beautifully on leash. Out on group walks, he follows along with ease, enjoying both the adventure and the companionship. He’s wonderfully adaptable—comfortable in his crate, relaxed when roaming the house, and great with other dogs. Niklas has that special, easygoing nature that makes him a perfect addition to so many kinds of homes. Add in his handsome looks and soft, wavy coat, and it’s hard not to fall in love. Niklas says he enjoys backyard time, daily walks, and cooling off inside after a day of fun. What he’d love most, though, is a family who will take him on new adventures while helping him feel safe and confident with new people. He’s ready to love again. Ready to belong. Ready for his true forever. Please fill out an application and come meet Niklas—you just might be the happy ending he’s been waiting for.    April 7, 2026, 10:51 pm

Story
Kong is from Texas. He was found there, in a ditch alongside a busy road, along with his brother. They were both taken into rescue after their stray hold was up, and were given age appropriate veterinary care and nutrition. They have both been thriving while in rescue, and now it's time for them to find homes of their own. Kong is a loving, affectionate pup. His texan foster family has a young girl that will hold him like a baby while she watches TV, and he loves every minute of it. He would absolutely adore a family with children to play and grow with. while kids would be a great bonus for kong, they are not a requirement for adoption in any way. Kong is not yet potty trained, but what young pup is? He has been working on his potty training skills with his texan foster family, and will need some patience and grace as he acclimates to his new family/schedule. Consistency is key in potty training and a consistent feeding/potty schedule will be key in him becoming fully potty trained. Kong has also begun crate training, and will sleep there soundly through the night as well as kennel up when his people are gone during the day. He has begun leash training, but will need to continually polish those manners. If you think Kong is the perfect pup for you, please fill out an adoption application today.. he can't wait to meet you! ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*

I’m a sweet Southern pup who made my way from sunny Alabama up to the land of 10,000 lakes — and let me tell you, I’m loving this whole snow situation.  I may have traded biscuits for hotdish, but I’ve brought all my warm, affectionate charm with me! I’m a loving, cuddly companion who believes there’s no such thing as too many belly rubs. Kids? Love ’em. Other dogs? Let’s be friends! I’m happiest when I’m part of the action, whether that’s exploring a new trail, sniffing out a park adventure, or tagging along for a weekend road trip. I’ve got a curious nose and a brave heart — Minnesota, I’m ready for you! I’m crate trained (I like having my own cozy space), and I’m a very good listener… especially if you happen to be holding a treat. I’m highly treat-motivated — you’ve got snacks, I’ve got skills. It’s a win-win! If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who will shower you with love, keep up on adventures, and maybe need a little help picking out a winter sweater, I’m your dog. Let’s explore this big, beautiful world together!  If you are interested in meeting me, please complete an application.  I look forward to meeting you very soon!  April 7, 2026, 10:51 pm

Story
Location: Minneapolis, MN Meet Jambalaya! Looking for a "work-from-home" partner who knows how to party on the weekends? Jambalaya is your guy! This handsome, athletic pup is the perfect blend of smarts and snuggles. As a young pup, he’s already mastered the art of being a "good boy." The Highlights: Pro-Level Manners: Jambalaya is fully potty trained and already knows Sit, Shake, and Stay. He’s an A+ student! The Perfect Coworker: He does great hanging out quietly while I work, but he's always down for a game or a run with other dogs when it’s break time. Expert Sleeper: He’s a dream in his crate overnight, though he’s such a gentleman he’d likely do just fine free-roaming. Social & Sweet: He loves his people and being close to them. On walks, he’s a total pro—no barking at neighbors or other dogs! A Note on New Friends: > Jambalaya takes his "watchdog" duties a little seriously at first and will give a bark to announce guests. However, once he realizes they're friends, he calms down quickly and is ready for pets. If you’re looking for a smart, medium-energy companion who is ready to fit right into your routine, Jambalaya is your guy! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus taxMeet Finn Finn is an 8-year-old, 50-lb mellow guy who loves napping, short walks, and hanging out near his people. He enjoys toys (especially if treats are involved!), can be cuddly, and also appreciates his personal space. Finn is anxious around loud noises and reactive when he sees other dogs, so he’s looking for a quiet home where he can be the only pet. He hasn’t lived with cats but has ignored chickens. He greets people calmly outside the home and politely “announces” visitors with a bark. He does best with a predictable routine and would thrive in a home where someone is around more often—Respectful children are fine. Finn is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and eats a prescription urinary diet. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back companion, Finn is ready to meet you.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

Story
Meet Finley! Finley is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly — truly the best of both worlds. She’s always up for whatever the day brings, whether that’s zooming around the yard or curling up for cuddle time. Affectionate and full of love, Finley adores giving kisses and being close to her people. She has a goofy, playful personality and loves snacks almost as much as she loves running full speed outside. Toys? She loves them all! Being outdoors is one of her favorite things. She’s gaining confidence when meeting other dogs and may be a little shy at first, but she warms up nicely with positive introductions. Finley does great meeting new people and has a naturally loving, friendly personality. She’s currently learning how to walk on a leash and is doing well with potty training. With continued guidance and consistency, she’s going to grow into an amazing lifelong companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, affectionate pup who can keep up with adventures but also melt into your arms, Finley is your girl.
