Story
Meet Dai Mar – The Gentle Gentleman with a Playful Spark! Age: 12 years (13 in August) | Breed: Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog Mix Weight:    66 lbs | Adoption Fee: $375 | Neutered: Yes Don’t let his age fool you— Dai Mar may be a senior in years, but he still has the heart (and play drive!) of a much younger pup. This sweet, easygoing guy loves squeaky toys, a good game of tug-of-war, and—most of all—being near his people. He’s the kind of companion who’ll be by your side through thick and thin, offering loyalty, love, and the occasional goofy grin. Dai Mar is friendly with everyone he meets, including other dogs, cats, and respectful kiddos. He’s potty trained with a regular routine but does have an occasional accident, hasn’t needed to be crated, preferring to spend his time near the people he loves. While he's mostly agile, he occasionally needs a little help going up and down steps—but he’s still active and enjoys moving around. He is a vocal guy when it comes to unexpected noises, so a quiet, calm home would suit him best. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted friend with a golden heart and a playful streak, Dai Mar might be the perfect match for you. He’s ready to bring joy, love, and companionship into a home that will treasure him as much as he’ll treasure you. Ready to meet Dai Mar? Apply today and give this sweet senior the cozy, love-filled home he deserves. A s a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)  Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.  $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.   Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.  We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.  Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.  Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!     October 11, 2025, 9:59 pm

Story
Meet GoGurt, a member of the Texas Lunch Box crew! Gogurt is a playful, affectionate pup, he loves to play chase and explore new places. GoGurt is always up for an adventure and happiest when he’s on the move. He is gentle and polite when meeting new people and animals, but once he knows you… get ready for a party!! Gogurt is also quite the “collector” he loves to parade around his most recent find, whether it’s a rock, dried grass, stick, you name it, he will carry it. GoGurt loves a good nap paired with belly rubs too. 😊 Gogurt is still getting comfortable with regular mealtimes, so he’ll do best being fed separately from other animals until he feels secure. He is a smart little puppy that will do very well with consistency and training. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion who will keep you on your toes and grow into a great family member, GoGurt is the guy for you! Gogurt is from Texas. ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*

Story
Meet Hot Pocket, a member of the Texas Lunch Box crew! Hot Pocket is a big-hearted, silly pup whose main mission in life is simple: to make you smile. This playful boy is always ready for fun, whether it’s running around, sniffing the flowers (literally, he is a huge fan of flowers), or leaning into some well-earned head scratches. He’s a big baby who just wants to be close to his people, and fair warning… Hot Pocket doesn’t really have an “off” button when it comes to affection 😄 He thrives on attention and will do best in a home that can give him structure and guidance as he learns the basics, including how to settle and entertain himself. At bedtime, he might let out a few little whines if his human isn’t nearby, but once he realizes the house is settling down, he gets cozy goes to bed no problem. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion, Hot Pocket is here to save the day! Hot Pocket is from Texas. ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*

Story
Say hello to Duke! He came to TCHS as a transfer from another facility, so we don't know much about their history. Duke is shy initially, but once he warms up to people, he is a sweetheart. He would love his people to go at his pace. In the past, Duke has been around children and dogs and did well. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal into the home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. Duke would love to have durable toys to chew on and keep him entertained. Patient and consistent training using treats is a good way to work on obedience cues. Ask a TCHS staff about training and suggestions for the perfect toy for your new friend from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Story
Meet Colt! Colt is an energetic dog who loves to play and run. He enjoys playing fetch and tug-of-war. Colt loves to snuggle and take naps on someone's lap. Colt loves to go on walks and run around outside! Colt can tug hard on the leash so an appropriate harness or a Weiss Walkie may be useful. Colt has been around small children and does not do well. He has also been around cats and does not do well. Slow and proper introductions are always recommended when introducing new pets. Colt is a high-energy working breed and would benefit from multiple types of enrichment. Going on regular walks, using puzzle toys, and teaching new tricks are all great ways to help your dog stay entertained. Ask TCHS staff for more ideas for enrichment! Colt would love to have durable toys to chew on and keep them entertained. Patient and consistent training using treats is a good way to work on obedience cues.
