Meet Dai Mar – The Gentle Gentleman with a Playful Spark! Age: 12 years (13 in August) | Breed: Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog Mix Weight:    66 lbs | Adoption Fee: $375 | Neutered: Yes Don’t let his age fool you— Dai Mar may be a senior in years, but he still has the heart (and play drive!) of a much younger pup. This sweet, easygoing guy loves squeaky toys, a good game of tug-of-war, and—most of all—being near his people. He’s the kind of companion who’ll be by your side through thick and thin, offering loyalty, love, and the occasional goofy grin. Dai Mar is friendly with everyone he meets, including other dogs, cats, and respectful kiddos. He’s potty trained with a regular routine but does have an occasional accident, hasn’t needed to be crated, preferring to spend his time near the people he loves. While he's mostly agile, he occasionally needs a little help going up and down steps—but he’s still active and enjoys moving around. He is a vocal guy when it comes to unexpected noises, so a quiet, calm home would suit him best. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted friend with a golden heart and a playful streak, Dai Mar might be the perfect match for you. He’s ready to bring joy, love, and companionship into a home that will treasure him as much as he’ll treasure you. Ready to meet Dai Mar? Apply today and give this sweet senior the cozy, love-filled home he deserves. A s a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)  Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.  $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.   Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.  We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.  Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.  Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. Story
Meet Bandit! This handsome chap is looking for his furrever home! Bandit has been around other dogs and did well with them. Bandit is also good with kids of all ages, although when he's excited he can be a little jumpy. He has not been around cats, but he had a habit of chasing neighbor chickens, so we recommend doing a slow introduction to see how he does. Ask staff for tips! Bandit does well in a crate and is used to being kenneled when home alone. He is still learning about potty training and building his confidence with it. He loves to receive treats and attention, which are great for working on potty training! He does fairly well on the leash but is still working on pulling and can occasionally get distracted. Lots of patience and positive reinforcement will help Bandit blossom into the best boy he can be. Bandit does have moderate energy and tends to be destructive with toys. He loves ripping them apart - but if you'd rather avoid the mess, he also enjoys the tough chewer toys! He also loves to learn - he knows sit, stay, and "no"! Bandit also *loves* the water. It is his favorite thing! Could Bandit steal your heart? Come meet him today! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Story
Meet Nova! She has been described as loving, playful, and snuggly. She is on the hunt for a quiet, slow-paced home with someone who has lots of time to spend with her. Nova has lived with a child around the age of 2 years old and was nervous. We think she would do best in a home without young children. She has been around other dogs and cats and was friendly and playful. All introductions should be slow and proper when bringing home new animals. Ask staff for tips! She is housetrained and is used to being let out after meals. She will wait by the door or nudge the doorknob when she needs to go out. Nova has used a kennel in her previous home and did great! She knows "sit," "stay," "down," "kennel," and "wait." Nova would benefit from basic obedience training with lots of positive reinforcement to help her become more confident and understand boundaries. She loves following her people around, running around outside, and snuggling with her Lamb Chop. Come meet this sweetheart today! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD Meet Humphrey a.k.a. “Dave” Humphrey, affectionately known as Dave, is looking for his tribe — and by tribe, we mean a family who will appreciate just how lovable, social, and well-rounded this boy truly is. Dave gets along wonderfully with dogs, people, and kids, making him an easy fit for almost any home. He may bark at a guy or two when first meeting them, just to let everyone know he’s keeping watch, but give him a treat and a little time and he’ll quickly become your loyal sidekick. Underneath his watchful nature is a sweet, affectionate dog who simply wants to be part of the family. Humphrey was rescued from a South Dakota reservation and had been living with a family who clearly loved and cared for him deeply until they were no longer able to keep him. It’s easy to see this boy has known love and structure — he is house trained and crate trained to perfection. Just say “kennel up” and he happily trots right into his crate. This smart boy already knows an impressive list of commands including sit, shake, high five, stay, spin, kiss, boop on the nose, and even jumping through a hoop. Humphrey loves being involved in whatever his people are doing. Whether it’s running errands, relaxing at a brewery, grabbing a morning coffee, or heading out on an adventure, he is ready to go. His long legs love a good stretch, but he’s just as happy curling up beside you for a quiet movie night at home. Humphrey truly is the full package — handsome, smart, social, loyal, and full of love to give. If you’re looking for a unique pup who will become your best friend and adventure buddy, this boy is for you. Schedule your meet and greet by applying for Humphrey today! ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (Distemper, Rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Location: Buffalo, MN After 3 years in a home, Greta sadly found herself back in rescue. Despite everything, this sweet girl continues to be nothing but loving, loyal, and ready to give her whole heart. Greta is truly the total package: 🐾 House trained 🐾 Crate trained 🐾 Knows all her basic commands 🐾 Great with dogs and cats 🐾 Calm, affectionate, and easy to love Her only requirements? Greta needs a home without children and should be fed separately due to resource guarding around food and treats. Outside of mealtime, she happily coexists with other animals and has been an amazing foster dog. Greta is still feeling a little unsure being returned, and it can take her a few minutes to get over her initial stranger danger. Once you win her over, she’s the kind of dog who settles in beside you like she’s always belonged. After losing the family she thought was forever, Greta deserves a second chance with someone who will love her for life! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Meet GoGurt, a member of the Texas Lunch Box crew! Gogurt is a playful, affectionate pup, he loves to play chase and explore new places. GoGurt is always up for an adventure and happiest when he’s on the move. He is gentle and polite when meeting new people and animals, but once he knows you… get ready for a party!! Gogurt is also quite the “collector” he loves to parade around his most recent find, whether it’s a rock, dried grass, stick, you name it, he will carry it. GoGurt loves a good nap paired with belly rubs too. 😊 Gogurt is still getting comfortable with regular mealtimes, so he’ll do best being fed separately from other animals until he feels secure. He is a smart little puppy that will do very well with consistency and training. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion who will keep you on your toes and grow into a great family member, GoGurt is the guy for you! Gogurt is from Texas. ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*

Story
**Duke is available through TCHS' Adoption Ambassador Program and is not at the shelter! Call 320-252-0896 to arrange a meet-and-greet** Meet Duke! Duke is a transfer from another facility, so his full history is unknown. He may be a bit shy at first, but with a little patience and understanding, his true personality begins to shine. Once he warms up, Duke is an incredibly sweet and affectionate boy who enjoys being close to his people. Duke would do best in a home that allows him to move at his own pace as he builds trust and confidence. He has a special love for chicken-flavored treats and milk bones, which can be a great way to bond with him. He also absolutely adores ear scratches and will happily soak up gentle affection. Duke recently had both of his removed due to eye issues so due to this, he can sometimes startle himself, so a calm and predictable environment will help him feel more secure. In the past, he has done well around both children and other dogs. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal into the home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. Duke is a gentle, loving companion who just needs a little time—and in return, he’ll give you plenty of sweetness. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. Story
Meet Colt! Colt is a high-energy dog who would love a very active home - a job would be even better! We think he would make a perfect addition to some farms because he likes to stay busy. He is a little bit of a puller when he walks, so an appropriate harness or Weiss Walkie (sold in our Re-Tail Shoppe) would be a good idea. Colt loves fetch and tug-of-war, but he's equally happy to snuggle in someone's lap. He is a super sweet dog, with two catches - he does not like being around small children OR cats. Ask to see Colt outside of his kennel to get to know the real him - he never stops smiling! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. Story
Meet Rue! Rue is a sweet but nervous gal who is looking for a home that can help her build confidence. She has lived with cats and dogs; she coexisted well with both. She did not do well in a home with chickens and did have a tendency to chase them. She lived with older children and was fearful of them; she may do best in a home with no kids or dog-savvy kids. Rue enjoys nap time in her dog bed. She is used to being kenneled overnight and when her owners are away. Her previous home described her as lazy, skittish, and sweet. She seems to attach herself to one person in the home whom she is most comfortable with and becomes their shadow. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896.
