Story
Location: St Paul, MN Meet Juno! She has the cutest "masked" face and behind that mask is a beautiful girl with the sweetest temperament. She is eager to please and very affectionate. She's got the perfect amount of puppy energy combined with superb cuddling skills. Juno is housetrained and is quickly learning new commands like "sit" and "down". She gets along well with her resident dogs and loves toys. Juno is working on gaining weight as she came into the rescue underweight, but she loves eating so will quickly get back to an ideal weight. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. *This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Hi, I’m Tedah. I’m a gentle, dignified girl who has been through a lot in my life. I spent time on the streets caring for my puppies all on my own, so now that I’m safe, warm, and well-fed, I’m learning how to truly relax. Every day my sweet personality and quiet confidence continue to shine a little more. I’m completely house trained, very polite with my food, and I don’t chew on anything that isn’t mine. I love every person I meet, walk calmly on a leash, and ride quietly in the car. New situations can make me a bit cautious, but if I trust my humans and they stay by my side, I’m brave enough to follow them anywhere. I’m a mellow, go-with-the-flow kind of girl. Most of my day is spent napping, following my person from room to room, enjoying mealtimes, and soaking up cuddles. I love being invited into your space and will gently tuck my nose under your hand if I’d like a few more pets. If you ask me to move along, I’ll politely do so and settle nearby. I even enjoy being brushed! Toys aren’t really my thing — I’m far too refined for such silliness — but I do enjoy a good meaty bone outside. Because of my past, I need to be the only dog in the home and don’t like sharing food-related items. In return, I promise to be the easiest, sweetest companion you could ask for. When you walk through the door, I’ll sit like a lady and do a tiny tippy-toe dance while I wait for proper greetings. I smile in my sleep, wag my tail in happy circles, and somehow manage to steal the hearts of everyone I meet. I’m a soulful senior lady looking for a soft, quiet place to land — a peaceful home with patient, loving people who will cherish me as much as I’ll cherish them. If you’re ready for a calm, affectionate best friend with a heart full of gratitude, I’m ready to fill your life with warmth and gentle love.  Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and rec ommendations to keep your senior dog in top shape. Tedah is from a local impound.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Story
Meet Dai Mar – The Gentle Gentleman with a Playful Spark! Age: 12 years (13 in August) | Breed: Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog Mix Weight:    66 lbs | Adoption Fee: $375 | Neutered: Yes Don’t let his age fool you— Dai Mar may be a senior in years, but he still has the heart (and play drive!) of a much younger pup. This sweet, easygoing guy loves squeaky toys, a good game of tug-of-war, and—most of all—being near his people. He’s the kind of companion who’ll be by your side through thick and thin, offering loyalty, love, and the occasional goofy grin. Dai Mar is friendly with everyone he meets, including other dogs, cats, and respectful kiddos. He’s potty trained with a regular routine but does have an occasional accident, hasn’t needed to be crated, preferring to spend his time near the people he loves. While he's mostly agile, he occasionally needs a little help going up and down steps—but he’s still active and enjoys moving around. He is a vocal guy when it comes to unexpected noises, so a quiet, calm home would suit him best. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted friend with a golden heart and a playful streak, Dai Mar might be the perfect match for you. He’s ready to bring joy, love, and companionship into a home that will treasure him as much as he’ll treasure you. Ready to meet Dai Mar? Apply today and give this sweet senior the cozy, love-filled home he deserves. A s a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)  Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.  $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.   Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.  We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.  Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.  Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!     October 11, 2025, 9:59 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus taxMeet Finn Finn is an 8-year-old, 50-lb mellow guy who loves napping, short walks, and hanging out near his people. He enjoys toys (especially if treats are involved!), can be cuddly, and also appreciates his personal space. Finn is anxious around loud noises and reactive when he sees other dogs, so he’s looking for a quiet home where he can be the only pet. He hasn’t lived with cats but has ignored chickens. He greets people calmly outside the home and politely “announces” visitors with a bark. He does best with a predictable routine and would thrive in a home where someone is around more often—his current home’s 12-hour shifts are just too hard on him. Respectful children are fine. Finn is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and eats a prescription urinary diet. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back companion, Finn is ready to meet you.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

Story
Hi, my name is Mona and I am from Oklahoma! From her foster: Meet Mona! Mona is a 7-month-old Collie/Australian Shepherd mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for people. She settled into her foster home quickly and wants to be part of everything you’re doing. Mona is very smart and has already started picking up basic commands, showing just how eager she is to learn. She loves going on walks, playing in the snow, and romping around with dogs of all sizes, especially her foster’s small dog. Mona is on the higher-energy side and will do best with an active home that can give her plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. While she can get hyped up easily, she also settles down well. She’s been doing great with potty training, has had only one accident, and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. Mona is spayed, nearly done with her meds, and ready for her forever home!
