Story
Location: Maplewood, MN Ezekiel is a very friendly dog and just wants love. He really enjoys love and attention. Good with all humans and other dogs. Has not been cat-tested. Ezekiel seems to do fine occupying himself outside for many hours in this sunshine and does dig holes. This leads to him quickly falling asleep at night. And, he does start to miss a human or another dog though. He is completely house-trained and has not had a single indoor accident. Ezekiel is also very good on walks! Contains his energy and enjoys the moment with a human and others. Also, very good during car rides. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Nadia is 6 years old, we got her from a family in Mexico when we lived in California. She loves to cuddle and play but it would be better for her to go to a family without young children. She is a herding dog and her nips are pretty powerful and will hurt young ones. She is good with our cat but sometimes when they play, they will get too excited and end up scratching each other, or chasing around the house. Nadia is also a scaredy-cat, she takes awhile to warm up to new people, and you will know whenever someone is walking around your house! She may not be good as a protector, but she is the queen at alerting you! Overall she is a great dog with some quirks, but I'm sure the right family would love to have her.

Story
Meet Jackson 🐾 Jackson is a striking Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix born in 2017 with a big personality and an even bigger heart for the right person. He’s an intelligent, high-drive “alpha” type who thrives best as the only pet in the home, where he doesn’t have to compete for attention. Jackson can be the jealous type and prefers a calm, adult household without children, as busy environments can make him uneasy. He especially bonds well with women, who have a wonderfully calming effect on him and help him feel safe and secure. This loyal guy does best with an experienced dog owner who understands working breeds and can provide structure, consistency, and mental stimulation. In return, Jackson offers devotion, companionship, and a deep one-on-one bond that’s truly special. If you’re looking for a smart, loyal companion and can offer a quiet home where Jackson can be your one and only, he may be the perfect match for you. ************************************************ Fine Print: All dogs of NWMNAR are screened at the headquarters in Ada, Mn until they are vetted. Story
Burt is a 45# Australian Cattle Dog mix dressed in a Border Collie suit. Do not mistake this little sporty spitfire for a calm, thoughtful Border Collie. Burt's high-octane energy is what makes him fun. He believes he is invincible and can do anything. His foster family fondly calls him Crash. Roughly 3 years old, Burt is old enough to know better and too young to care. He learns quickly and loves a challenge! He likes to climb ladders, walk on his hind legs for apples, and forage in the garden. This makes him a good candidate for circus life or living on the lam. Burt also loves to swim and play tug. There is very little he doesn't like: he puts his all into everything he does. In Burt's foster home, he lives with two other dogs, cats, and teenage kids. Burt has learned how to be respectful with all of them. Burt is used to being crated at night and has excellent obedience and wonderful recall. He would love to continue learning in any setting: with an avid hiker, runner, or participating in rally, obedience, agility, dock diving... anything that involves action. He is the kind of dog who needs a person to be his leader and help him live up to his potential. Truly, the sky is the limit! Burt's perfect leader is fair and has experience with pushy/driven/busy dogs, time to work with him, and is not afraid to say no when the situation warrants it. If you are looking for a dog to be your personal sidekick, Burt is your guy. There is literally nothing he cant do if he understands the mission. APPLY to adopt him at hoabcr.org/how-to-adopt Burt is being fostered in St. Joseph, MN. His adoption fee is $450 + MN sales tax. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Upon adoption, all our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Story
Meet Kovu - This beautiful 2023 edition of Australian Shepherd x Blue Heeler was born deaf. But don't let that fool you. This boy will stick to you like glue and wants to please. Kovu knows some basic hand signals, but will be your sidekick and likes to regulate other animals and is best as an only dog. He has high herding instincts and may not be the best playmate for children, thus he will do best in an adult companion home. If you want a by your side pleaser, that travels well in a vehicle and would probably be an "AUSSOME" hiker, Kovu is your guy!! House trained, Crate and Kennel trained, Neutered, Will be up to date on vaccinations prior to adoption, and microchipped.
