Story
Daisy is a 6 year old Rough/smooth collie. She is getting older but still energetic. She is a reactive dog which is why I said she is not great with kids or cats though she currently lives with both. She loves hanging out with you and keeping the house and yard secure. She also loves pets, walks, and keeping the house and yard secure. Oh also cheese. Ideally she could be in a home where she is the one special fur baby unless you are able to take on the challenge. She knows some basic skills like sit, wait, leave it, and down. She is semi house broken. She is a very good girl and loves to be loved for that. I am a divorced single mom and she is more than I can afford or really cherish the way she should be.

Clementine is one of those dogs who just keeps giving you more reasons to love her. She may be a little shy when you first meet, but give her a few treats—or introduce her to a friendly dog—and it won’t take long for her sweet, silly personality to make an appearance. Once she’s comfortable, get ready for some truly adorable whole-body wiggles when she’s excited to see you! Clementine is wonderful with other dogs and has a great ability to adjust her play style depending on her canine friend. She also does well with cats! She would absolutely love having another playful dog in her forever home, but it isn’t a requirement as long as her family can give her plenty of exercise, playtime, and enrichment. This smart girl is crate trained, nearly housebroken, and walks well on a leash. She’s treat motivated, eager to please, and a quick learner, which makes working on new skills genuinely fun. She’s still polishing up a few puppyish manners—particularly keeping all four paws on the ground when greeting people and remembering not to get mouthy when she’s really excited—but she has all the ingredients to be a training superstar. And Clementine LOVES her toys. Chew toys are the clear favorite, but she’s really not picky—if you tell her it’s a toy, she’s probably interested. 😂 One of Clementine’s best qualities is how easy she is to bring along on adventures. In new places, she tends to be a quiet observer, happily taking everything in without needing to be the center of attention. Sweet, smart, playful, dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and equipped with some pretty spectacular wiggles—Clementine is ready to find the people who will help her confidence keep growing and give her all the adventures, toys, and treats she deserves.

Check me out! I'm Megan* and even though I'm 10 years old, my foster says I have the energy of a three-year-old! I run and play with the best of them! I'm on the smallish side for a Golden Mix, just 50 pounds. I had heartworms when I got to TGRR so I've been with a foster family for many weeks while I've been treated to get rid of those horrible, dangerous things. During that time, I got along with most dogs, but sometimes I'm finicky about which canines I want to be friends with, so TGRR thinks it's best if I'm the only dog in your home. That's fine with me 'cause it means I'll get ALL the attention! I've not been around cats or kids so I don't know about them. I've got a couple of naughty traits, I must admit. If you leave me unsupervised, I get a little anxious and will look for things to chew up (socks, gloves, etc.), so it's best that your house remains puppy-proofed. The good news is that I crate well. I even go in my crate throughout the day and nap in there with the door open. And at bedtime, I curl up in my crate and don't make a peep so everyone in the house can get their beauty sleep. My other naughty trait is that I learned how to climb up the chain link fence and escape at my first foster home. So I need to go to a home that has a privacy fence. When I first walk on the leash, I pull a bit but I'm easily corrected and will walk beside you for the most part. If we walk to places I'm familiar with, you can count on me to walk with a loose leash. It's just new adventures that get me over-excited. But hey, that's how it goes with almost every dog, isn't it? I know how to sit on command for a treat (love me some treats) and will come when called. Foster Mom says I'm a fast learner, I'm smart, and that I'm eager to please. I'm always up for playing or going for a walk, but my favorite thing is a good cuddle. I hope you don't let my age deter you - I've got lots of life left in me and I'm hoping I can spend it with you!
