Viggo can be stubborn and may become mouthy when excited, tired, or frustrated, including teeth-chomping when asked to do something he doesn`t want to do. His future family should be comfortable continuing positive training and providing plenty of structure, exercise, and enrichment. Viggo has lots of potential and will thrive with a family willing to put in the time with this smart, active young dog.

Julien is a gorgeous Border Collie mix with a striking black coat, a white neck ring, and matching chest markings, and a personality just as striking. He's usually the first to say hello, greeting new people with real excitement — but once the hellos are done, he's happy to settle in and do his own thing, taking a good, long nap whenever he gets the chance. He's not a high-energy dog, and he's perfectly content keeping things low-key. That doesn't mean he skips his fun. He loves his daily walks and once a day the zoomies hit, sending him tearing around with pure joy before he settles back down. He's a big fan of a good game of fetch, and he already knows "sit," "paw," "other paw," and "high five" — smart and eager to learn even more. He's also a devoted follower: wherever you go, he wants to go too, even into the bathroom! Goofy, friendly, and great with other dogs, Julien is sweet with kids too, greeting the ones he meets on walks with plenty of kisses. Affectionate, easy, and full of love to give, Julien is ready to find a family of his own.

Onyx is a pure bred who comes from a working line of border collies. I have had him since he was 8 weeks old. He is a super sweet dog who loves to play fetch. He knows basic commands and has a good off leash recall. He has always lived with another dog and cats but has recently started herding my cats and has gone after them. He also doesn’t play with our other dog and keeps to himself so he would do well in an only dog household or co-existing with other dogs (no cats). He is crate trained. He needs someone who will be active with him and would do best with a place to run and play fetch.

Tessa is a 9yo border collie mix. An active household or one with kids living there or visiting often would be perfect for her. Can provide a crate if needed but she's house trained and free roams indoors now. The Good: Shes extremely smart, learns well and isn't destructive. She can be trained with voice and hand commands. She's very active for her age and doesn't have an off setting - more like a standby mode. She's absolutely addicted to tennis balls! Adores children to the point of whining if she can't play with them. Even though she's a herding breed, she's never nipped at kids for running around or being loud. The Bad: Tessa is leash-reactive towards other dogs, so she's not the kind of dog you can take to the dog park or other doggy events. She's very selective with the dogs she'll get along with, usually she prefers small male breeds. She got into a fight with my other, bigger female dog and hasn't gotten over it in 3 years. No cats!
