Story
Meet Rumi! At just 1 year old and 38 lbs, Rumi is a petite, affectionate sweetheart who is ready to snuggle her way into someone’s life. She’s a total cuddlebug who loves nothing more than leaning in close, melting into your hands, and soaking up every bit of affection she can get. Rumi rides beautifully in the car—she hops in on her own most of the time (sometimes needing a little boost for her back legs), settles quickly, and often curls up for a nap. With a little encouragement, she hops right back out, ready for her next adventure. This wiggly girl is excited to meet everyone she sees. She happily solicits pets, leans in for more, and may pop up for a kiss when she forgets her manners. Because she can be jumpy and occasionally mouthy when excited, she’d do best with older kids who understand how to redirect her enthusiasm. On leash, Rumi is lovely. She comes out of the kennel with some youthful energy, but she quickly settles into an easy walking pace. She may pull toward people she wants to greet, but with a little guidance, she focuses again. She’s nonreactive to other dogs and shows interested, friendly curiosity when she spots them. Toys don’t hold her attention much right now, but treats definitely do—she is extremely treat motivated and a great candidate for training. She’s also very energetic and would thrive with plenty of mental and physical stimulation, especially in an active home that can help her channel her enthusiasm into fun and learning. Rumi is great in the crate and settles nicely, but she will need a consistent routine and a little help to finish mastering her housetraining. She’s a bright, loving young dog who just wants to connect with her people. Any mouthiness is easy to redirect, and she’s eager to learn and please. If you’re looking for a cuddly, wiggly companion with a big heart and an even bigger desire to please, Rumi is ready to be your new best friend. Rumi has had positive interactions with other dogs. As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog-to-dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. To meet your new pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!

This pup is eligible for our Test the Couch program — a 7-day trial adoption to see if your home (and your couch) is the perfect fit. Learn more  https://pipsrescue.org/test-the-couch/ Sasha the Snuggle-Pup – “Fluffy, Fun, and Full of Personality!” By: CozyDogMom Wow. Just wow. Sasha has the softest, floofiest coat I’ve ever experienced—like hugging a cloud that wants to play fetch. She’s goofy in the best way and is always game for an adventure (or a nap). Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cuddle buddy with a dash of sass!   Trick-Learning Prodigy – “Smart, silly, and training like a champ.” By: FirstTimePupTrainer Sasha picks up on commands FAST. She’s eager to please and super treat-motivated. We’re working on “sit,” “stay,” and “don’t chew the shoe,” and she’s nailing it. She does test boundaries (toddler energy!), but with consistency, she thrives. If you love training sessions, she’s your girl.   Best with Big-Dog Buddies – ½ “Loves confident canine companions—but no cats, please.” By: PackLeaderVibes Sasha truly shines around other confident dogs her size or bigger. She takes cues from them beautifully and gains confidence quickly. But homes with cats or small dogs? Not her vibe. She’s got a big personality and needs friends who can match her energy.   Kid-Friendly-ish – “Great with older kids, not for toddlers.” By: DogDadWithTeens Sasha adores kids—but younger ones might find her a bit too clever for comfort! She does best with older children who can stick to consistent commands and not let her sneak an extra treat (or three). Think “fun-loving puppy meets tiny lawyer.”   All the Essentials Included – “Vaccinated, spayed, and ready to move in.” By: ReadyToAdopt Fully vetted, spayed, and healthy—this pup is as turnkey as they come. No assembly required (unless you count assembling a toy collection for her). Sasha is absolutely adoption-ready!   Final Verdict: A Must-Adopt! – “She’s not just a good dog—she’s a great dog.” By: FutureBestFriend If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, fun-loving pup who thrives on affection and structure, Sasha is the perfect pick. No cats, no tiny dogs—but tons of love and laughter guaranteed. ##2056176##

Learn more  https://pipsrescue.org/test-the-couch/ Meet Jolene: The Main Character. Always. At just 36 pounds, Jolene is compact enough to fit in your car, your lap, and your heart—but not your social calendar if it includes other dogs. She’s not here for pack life. She’s here to be your one and only, your ride-or-die, your queen bee. Other dogs? Hard pass. Jolene wants the spotlight, and honestly, she deserves it. She’s currently boarding with a trainer and crushing it—learning the ropes, snuggling her stuffies, and plotting world domination (or at least domination of your couch). She has energy for days, so if your lifestyle is more “let’s hike this trail” and less “let’s binge-watch eight seasons of a show without moving,” she’s your girl. Jolene is accepting applications for: Humans who enjoy brisk walks, stuffed toy destruction, and unwavering loyalty. Households with no other pets (her words, not ours: “I will not be sharing my throne.”) Anyone who has ever looked at a dog and thought, “you might just be a tiny, unbothered celebrity.” Think you’re the chosen one? Apply to foster or adopt at pipsrescue.org. Just don’t bring any other dogs with you. Jolene will see them. She will judge.  $100 of her adoption fee is being sponsored by Ricci Law Firm Injury Lawyers, so her adoption fee is $225  ##1611630##

Story
Meet Bruno! 🐾 He came to us so malnourished her was unable to walk. Three vet visits later and lots of TLC from his foster mom, Bruno has been declared healthy and ready for adoption! Bruno is a 4-month-old heart-stealer with the softest black-and-white coat, big floppy ears, and soulful eyes that seem to look right into your heart. He might be a Labrador and Border Collie mix — smart, loyal, and full of love — but what really sets him apart is just how sweet and cuddly he is. Bruno is the kind of puppy who makes you smile the moment you see him. He’s happy, gentle, and has an easygoing charm that draws everyone in. When he’s not busy playing or exploring, you’ll find him snuggled up close, perfectly content just being near his people. He’s doing great with his crate training, potty training and settling into his routine nicely. Bruno’s quick to learn and eager to please — you can tell he wants to make his humans proud! With his long wagging tail and joyful personality, Bruno brings happiness wherever he goes. He loves being part of the action but also knows how to relax — the best of both worlds. Bruno would thrive in a home where he can keep spreading his happy energy and share his endless cuddles. Whether you’re looking for a walking buddy, a couch companion, or just a friend who’ll love you unconditionally, Bruno is ready to fill that role and then some. With his kind spirit, sweet nature, and those soulful eyes, it’s impossible not to fall for Bruno — he’s truly something special. Apply to adopt Bruno today!
