At 2 years old and 65 pounds, this gorgeous Collie mix is the very definition of a loving companion—sweet, affectionate, and always hoping to be close enough for you to feel the steady beat of her loyal heart. Amber’s story began in a tiny rural community, where she wandered alone until kind locals stepped in to help her. No one came forward to claim her, but maybe that’s because her real family is still out there—someone who will recognize that she was meant for them. When Critter Cavalry Rescue brought her in, they immediately saw it: her remarkable intelligence, her eagerness to bond, and her gentle, soulful spirit. Amber enjoys every simple pleasure with pure gratitude—exploring the world on her harness, leaning in for affection, and curling up with her beloved stuffed bunny, who has become her constant companion. She loves being brushed, loves being talked to, and really loves being included. Amber gets along with other dogs, though her enthusiasm may be a bit much for calmer companions. As for cats… well, they’re a little mysterious and intimidating to her. But people? She adores them—wholeheartedly. This beautiful girl is ready to become someone’s heart dog… that once-in-a-lifetime companion who fills a home with warmth, softness, and quiet devotion. Cash is a very smart and loyal dog but he does not get along with my other Cattle Dog. He has attacked my other Heeler a few times and likely needs to go to a home with no other pets. He loves to play ball, knows how to sit, shake, lay down and is very treat driven. My significant other is afraid of him and says he has to go. He is crate trained and house broken.

This sweet girl, Lucy, is a Cattle Dog rescued by Piedmont Animal Rescue from Western NC after Hurricane Helene, and her journey is nothing short of inspiring! When she first came into foster care, she was completely shut down and terrified of the world around her. But with love, patience, and the companionship of her foster brothers and sisters, she’s blossoming in ways we couldn’t have imagined thanks to our partners at Elevation K9 Training. Her Amazing Progress: • She plays and seeks out engagement from people she once feared. • She’s building confidence with every new field trip and exposure to the world. • Lucy has learned “heel”, and will trust your guidance while she’s there. • She will go new places with you and hang out on her “place” where she feels safe.  This beautiful girl still has some learning and growing to do, but her progress shows she’s on the path to becoming a wonderful, loyal companion. She’s looking for a forever family that can continue helping her discover how amazing life can be. Could you be the one to show her the love and stability she deserves? Lucy is dog friendly, and would thrive with siblings! She is cat friendly and really likes playing with kittens!! Lucy LOVES the water, and will swim as long as you let her. She is a great hiking companion, and doesn’t mind running short distances with you either. This girl loves to go places. She is nervous in a new environment, but does better with each new exposure to it. She loves to hang out at Coffee republic on “place” and thoroughly enjoys a good pup cup.
