Story
Meet Amber, a girl whose name couldn’t be more fitting. Just like the soft glow of amber itself, she radiates warmth, comfort, and a gentle kind of joy that reaches you the moment you meet her. At 2 years old and 65 pounds, this gorgeous Collie mix is the very definition of a loving companion—sweet, affectionate, and always hoping to be close enough for you to feel the steady beat of her loyal heart. Amber’s story began in a tiny rural community, where she wandered alone until kind locals stepped in to help her. No one came forward to claim her, but maybe that’s because her real family is still out there—someone who will recognize that she was meant for them. When Critter Cavalry Rescue brought her in, they immediately saw it: her remarkable intelligence, her eagerness to bond, and her gentle, soulful spirit. Amber enjoys every simple pleasure with pure gratitude—exploring the world on her harness, leaning in for affection, and curling up with her beloved stuffed bunny, who has become her constant companion. She loves being brushed, loves being talked to, and really loves being included. Amber gets along with other dogs, though her enthusiasm may be a bit much for calmer companions. As for cats… well, they’re a little mysterious and intimidating to her. But people? She adores them—wholeheartedly. This beautiful girl is ready to become someone’s heart dog… that once-in-a-lifetime companion who fills a home with warmth, softness, and quiet devotion. If you are looking for a dog who will love you with her whole soul, who will share every moment by your side, and who will glow with gratitude for the rest of her life, Amber may be the one you’ve been waiting for.   If you are interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 22, 2025, 9:52 pm

Story
?? MEET JONAH — READY FOR HIS NEXT CHAPTER ??Jonah came to us as an owner surrender when his family experienced major life changes that made it impossible for them to continue caring for him. This decision was made with heavy hearts, but with Jonah’s best interest at the center—they knew he deserved every chance at a happy, stable future.Jonah is still working on potty training and crate use and would love the opportunity to learn how to be a true house dog. He is such a good boy and, according to his previous family, does great with children! This smart guy already knows “sit” and is incredibly eager to learn more with a family willing to take the time to help him succeed.Since arriving at the shelter, Jonah has met a similar-sized spayed female. He was very interested in giving all the polite sniffs and happily accepted the same in return—he was a wiggly, friendly guy the entire time! ???? Adoption Tips• Meet-and-greets with other dogs and children are recommended prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for everyone.?? The 3-3-3 Rule for Adopting a Shelter Pet• 3 Days to decompress and adjust to a new environment• 3 Weeks to learn routines and begin building trust• 3 Months to fully settle in and show their true personality?? Story
Tuck came to ICAS as a stray after it appeared he didn’t actually have an appointment at the doctor’s office where he was happily “loitering.” Instead, he spent his time greeting patients with enthusiastic tail wags and a few joyful jumps. When his name wasn’t found on the appointment book, his new friends kept him safe until the shelter reopened and contacted ACO Ashley to come assist with picking him up. ??Tuck did not have a microchip, so there was no way to know if he once belonged to a family. What we do know is that Tuck is a typical cattle dog—complete with classic cattle dog dramatics and personality! This sweet 2-year-old can’t always contain his theatrics and loves to flail his body to make sure you saw it (LOL). He’ll jump right into your lap, ready or not, and keeps everyone laughing with his goofy charm.Since arriving at ICAS, Tuck has been tested with a similar-sized, spayed female dog. He was very interested in his new friend, giving her plenty of curious sniffs. While he may have been a little too enthusiastic at first, he took her correction like a champ—throwing play bows and zooming around to let her know there were no hard feelings! ????Come meet sweet Tuck in person to see if he’s the missing piece of your family puzzle!?? Adoption Tips:We always recommend meet-and-greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for everyone.?? A Reminder About the 3-3-3 Rule:When adopting a shelter pet, remember:• 3 days to decompress from shelter stress• 3 weeks to learn routines and build trust• 3 months to fully feel at home and show their true personality?? Tuck | A312414?? 2 years old?? Neutered male?? 42 pounds?? Microchipped?? Up to date on vaccines and preventatives (as administered while at ICAS)#AdoptFromICAS #MyICASRescue ????
