Story
🎄 Meet Noelle — a Sweetheart with a Spark! ✨ Noelle is a loving, gentle girl with a calm spirit, but don’t let that fool you—she has a playful streak and isn’t shy about letting you know when she wants attention! Whether it’s a soft cuddle, a happy tail wag, or a little chat to tell you all about her day, Noelle brings warmth and personality to every moment. She loves calm, cozy time, but she also enjoys the occasional playful romp and engaging with her humans in her own talkative, sweet way. Noelle is looking for a home where she can be adored, appreciated, and included in all the quiet—and sometimes silly—moments life has to offer. If you’re ready for a sweet, playful, and chatty companion, Noelle is waiting to be your perfect furry friend! ❤️🐾 Noelle is in our Mutts with Manners training program! This program gives our residents more enrichment and a chance to truly shine outside the shelter—showing who they are beyond the cards that they have been dealt. Noelle is a blue star meaning she has just entered the program and is working on basic commands as well as leash manners!

Story
Meet Patunia! ******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you area not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Patunia is an spayed, 2.5 year old female Border Collie mix, currently weighing around 68lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX, and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is found. This big sweetie is the ultimate girl’s girl! She’ll be your biggest cheerleader for the wins and the losses, and will always agree that your girl math is 100% correct, especially if it involves some goodies for her too. Patunia is very affectionate and LOVES to snuggle and get kisses from her people! You’ll always find her near by and she is a huge fan of sleeping in your bed. Patunia is very gentle towards children, and enjoys having them as a cuddle/play mate. She is fearful of men, but adores women and children. She can be independent, but prefers her humans close by. Once Patunia forms an attachment to you, she’ll hug your legs and won’t let go. She is very playful and obsessed with all of the toys! She shares well with the resident dogs and humans too. She does prefer to dine solo however, so feeding away from others is recommended. Patunia is high energy, favoring dogs that can keep up with her. She is very friendly towards other dogs, and is excellent on picking up on their cues, especially when a dog isn’t interested in playing. Patunia is cat friendly with slow introductions. She is very curious about the resident kitties, and will follow them around. She may chase them to get them to play, so supervision is recommended. This good girl is very well trained on a leash, walking gently and calmly, and she is house and crate trained. She is only crated when unsupervised or left home alone for her own safety, as she can chew on random items. She has a little separation anxiety, but having another pup around helps her feel safe. Patunia will thrive in a home with a family or a single woman looking for a best friend! She just needs to have a close bond of friendship and love. She would also benefit from having another dog in the house that will play endlessly and help her feel safe. She would love a spacious back yard to help burn off her energy. We can’t wait for Patunia to find someone who will spoil her endlessly, because she deserves that and more! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Story
Rolo is a very obedient and well trained dog. He loves most all people (except he's scared of the delivery men and runs away after he barks a couple times to let you know they are coming.) and loves being loved by people. Rolo is content spending lots of time indoors and does not pee or poop in the house even when he is inside for long periods of time. We usually keep Rolo outside most of the day as he seems to enjoy that as well. Rolo loves sleeping in his crate and likes spending time in the crate as well. Rolo is a young 13 years old and still enjoys being somewhat active with light running around and taking walks. We feel he has several more good somewhat active years left in him. We are needing to rehome Rolo as we do lots of traveling for long periods of time and Rolo gets anxious and does not like it when we are gone for many days on end and it has become unfair to him. He would love a home where he gets lots of attention.

?? MEET JONAH — READY FOR HIS NEXT CHAPTER ??Jonah came to us as an owner surrender when his family experienced major life changes that made it impossible for them to continue caring for him. This decision was made with heavy hearts, but with Jonah’s best interest at the center—they knew he deserved every chance at a happy, stable future.Jonah is still working on potty training and crate use and would love the opportunity to learn how to be a true house dog. He is such a good boy and, according to his previous family, does great with children! This smart guy already knows “sit” and is incredibly eager to learn more with a family willing to take the time to help him succeed.Since arriving at the shelter, Jonah has met a similar-sized spayed female. He was very interested in giving all the polite sniffs and happily accepted the same in return—he was a wiggly, friendly guy the entire time! ???? Story
Tuck came to ICAS as a stray after it appeared he didn’t actually have an appointment at the doctor’s office where he was happily “loitering.” Instead, he spent his time greeting patients with enthusiastic tail wags and a few joyful jumps. When his name wasn’t found on the appointment book, his new friends kept him safe until the shelter reopened and contacted ACO Ashley to come assist with picking him up. ??Tuck did not have a microchip, so there was no way to know if he once belonged to a family. What we do know is that Tuck is a typical cattle dog—complete with classic cattle dog dramatics and personality! This sweet 2-year-old can’t always contain his theatrics and loves to flail his body to make sure you saw it (LOL). He’ll jump right into your lap, ready or not, and keeps everyone laughing with his goofy charm.Since arriving at ICAS, Tuck has been tested with a similar-sized, spayed female dog. He was very interested in his new friend, giving her plenty of curious sniffs. While he may have been a little too enthusiastic at first, he took her correction like a champ—throwing play bows and zooming around to let her know there were no hard feelings! ????Come meet sweet Tuck in person to see if he’s the missing piece of your family puzzle!?? Adoption Tips:We always recommend meet-and-greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for everyone.?? A Reminder About the 3-3-3 Rule:When adopting a shelter pet, remember:• 3 days to decompress from shelter stress• 3 weeks to learn routines and build trust• 3 months to fully feel at home and show their true personality?? Tuck | A312414?? 2 years old?? Neutered male?? 42 pounds?? Microchipped?? Up to date on vaccines and preventatives (as administered while at ICAS)#AdoptFromICAS #MyICASRescue ????
