Story
Meet Dodger. He was saved from an overcrowded shelter where he was at risk of euthanasia. He is now fully vetted, neutered and all vaccines. Dodger did test positive for Ehrlichia before he came to us and was put on a regime of doxycycline. He should need no further treatment and has no symptoms. He loves to play with other dogs and would benefit from another dog in the household. Not yet sure on cats. He is a friendly guy but young children may nut he a good fit due to his exuberance .  I do prefer a fenced yard for Dodger so he can play and burn off energy. His foster dad has been working on commands with him and Dodger is a quick learner and doing great. His foster family has told us that he loves to swim in their pond.  His adoption fee is $200. Story
Josey is an amazing dog who is great with people and gentle with children, even the ones he has just met. He is very loyal to his people and to be honest this situation is heartbreaking, but it is obvious to us that he needs a home that is active and that will challenge him mentally and physically, and right now we cannot provide that. As of now, he is a only a house dog and it does not suit him. While he is and should be on your lap and in your bed, he will benefit from and flourish with frequent exercise and task orientation as he aims to please. Over the winter we lost our senior dog and it seems that losing that companionship and physical outlet has taken his toll on him. We will be holding on to him until we find the right home, as he is very loved, hence the reluctant decision to provide him with what he deserves was made. He is an awesome dog. Highly intelligent, highly loyal, incredibly loving... To be frank, he deserves better than what we can offer him.
