Fall in Love with Oakley! 🍂 Meet Oakley, a stunning 10-week-old Rough Collie mix male puppy who is ready to find his forever autumn cuddle buddy. Oakley is a total sweetheart with the classic brains and beauty of his Rough Collie heritage. Collies are famous for being incredibly loyal, gentle, and highly intuitive family dogs. True to his breed, Oakley is a focused little student who loves to learn and aims to please. 🐾 Friendly as a Friendly Ghost: Oakley absolutely loves other dogs! He is dog-friendly and would thrive in a home with a playful canine sibling or someone willing to keep him socialized. 🚽 Potty Training Prodigy: For just 10 weeks old, this boy is a superstar. He is already mastering his potty training routine and catching on faster than a falling leaf! 💤 Crate Training Champion: He is doing wonderfully in his crate. Like any young puppy, he might give a brief protest when he first goes in, but he settles down in just a short time and rests peacefully. Whether he's frolicking through piles of leaves or snoring softly at your feet while you sip hot apple cider, Oakley is guaranteed to bring endless joy to your life. He is still a baby, so he will need a family dedicated to continuing his puppy training, socialization, and giving him plenty of love.Don't let this perfect autumn breeze drift away!If you are interested in making Oakley a permanent part of your family, please fill out an application AND email therescueinn@gmail.com: https://therescueinn.com/adoption-application.html

Story
If there was a doggie beauty pageant, Mocha would win it, hands down. Look at her. So regal, stunning, graceful, and a social butterfly. Mocha knows it too. She loves getting attention from people. She goes from person to person to solicit attention and pets. She will even nudge you to give her pets and attention. After she has her fill, she goes off to do her own thing, leaving you hanging :D She isn’t too fond of young children. Their random quick movements and chatter disrupt her love for space and quiet. Outdoors, she isn’t so bothered by it but indoors, she prefers adults because she knows she can get pets and attention on her terms :) Mocha is wonderful with dogs. She likes to play chase and tug with dogs. If a dog isn’t available and she’s bored, she may chase her tail for entertainment. She also loves to play with water hoses. True to her breed, Mocha is a good walker. She has the stamina and endurance for long walks. Mocha whines if she needs to use the bathroom. If you are too slow in reading her signals, she nudges the door :) Other cute things Mocha does, she howls at sirens, she loves to bake, well, more like she likes to play with flour, she hates paper and blankets. We are guessing blankets make her too hot because of her already thick coat. Oh, did we mention Mocha loves her doggie treats? She eats them fast, but never with her meals. Mocha is 6 years old, 62lb Malamute Collie mix. She is looking for a quiet home with older children. A family who enjoys walks and couch cuddles would make her very happy. A home with no other dog is preferred as Mocha does not like to share her humans with other dogs :/ She has a luscious coat that needs to be brushed every day. She tolerates grooms but does better if there aren’t any other dogs in the same grooming room. She is shy at being seen naked :D

Story
Meet Dodger. He was saved from an overcrowded shelter where he was at risk of euthanasia. He is now fully vetted, neutered and all vaccines. Dodger did test positive for Ehrlichia before he came to us and was put on a regimen of doxycycline. He should need no further treatment and has no symptoms. He loves to play with other dogs and would benefit from another dog in the household. Probably not a good candidate for a home with cats. He is a friendly guy but young children may not be a good fit due to his exuberance .  I do prefer a fenced yard for Dodger so he can play and burn off energy. His foster dad has been working on commands with him and Dodger is a quick learner and doing great. He has mastered many commands. He is a smart leaner and wants to please. He will heed a caregiver willing to exercise him. His foster family has told us that he loves to swim in their pond.  His adoption fee is $200. If interested in Dodger, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com.September 9, 2026, 8:25 pm

Story
Jake is an australian cattle dog mix and he’s 10 years old. I rescued Jake back in 2017 from Mutt Nation when I lived in Nashville. He has done great with my two kids for the past almost 5 years and has previously lived with two small yorkies (has not been socialized around big dogs much & has a high prey drive so would not do well with cats). He is house trained. Would do well with someone who has experience with this breed or similar — he is high energy and is an anxious dog (he is not destructive when anxious, just whines/paces/barks). Would do well in an environment where he gets lots of exercise and mental stimulation. Unfortunately for my mental health in this season of life, I would love to find him an environment he can thrive in, as hard as it is for me. He is loyal and loves affection from his people. Loves to play fetch and loves bully sticks. Knows sit, down, shake, high five, bed (place), & wait/okay to be released.

Story
We got Rico as a 9 week old puppy. We were told he was boxer and lab. Turns out he’s mostly Australian cattle dog and boxer. He has a high drive to chase our cats and it is causing them a lot of distress. A trainer agreed with us that a no cat home is best for everyone. He’s smart and loving, loves walks and fetch (he’s stillLearning to return it!) and he would LOVE another doggy friend. Would probably not be best with young children only because of his tendency to herd and nip like an ACD, but he does love children!

Story
We found this girl wandering the street and took her in to keep her safe. We attempted to find her a good home 3 different times in the past and it never worked out (reasons unknown). We always got a call that she was found on the streets again and returned to us because she is chipped and her potential new owners never changed the owner information so we were always listed as her owners. The last time she was found on the street, we took her back in but she does not get along with our dogs and it's become very difficult for us now that I am disabled. We believe she has possibly become deaf and because we have other dogs in our family, we cannot give her the attention she needs. She would love a big fenced in yard to run around with someone who has the time to give her special love and attention in her senior years. She currently stays inside a huge crate (meant for Great Dane size), she does not want to come out or play because of our dogs. For more info on her, please contact us.
